Couldn't have said it better. Watching him on variety shows made me love his real personality, too. He’s not afraid to look silly, he's sharp and smart, competitive yet so respectful, and above all, a complete gentleman. And I don't think we're being biased here because there are plenty of videos and testimonies from his co-stars to prove what a good person he is. He's just as amazing in real life as he is on screen. 🥺

I get why Duan Jiaxu is such a definitive character for him, sometimes people even refer to him as DJX instead of Chen Zheyuan. 😅 But it’s frustrating when people only want him to keep repeating that same type of Hidden Love role instead of growing.

It makes me sad when people try to limit his potential to just modern (romance) dramas. For real though, Feng Suige is far from being soft or feminine. CZY gives him so much edge and presence!

I just hope that when he does return to modern romance, it’s with a script that has real depth and gives him something truly meatier to chew on alongside the romance. 😊

I completely disagree that he should stick strictly to modern dramas like HL. Pushing an actor with genuine range into soft, repetitive romance tropes does a massive disservice to his talent. He already has an upcoming modern thriller that proves he's looking for meaty, challenging roles.

What sets CZY apart isn't just his visuals in traditional attire; it’s his gravitas and screen presence. He brings a level of charisma that makes complex, larger-than-life period roles feel genuinely believable and grounded.

I really hope this is true! He has way too much potential to stay in just one genre forever. Taking on a serious, non-idol role would prove how dedicated he is to actually honing his craft, rather than just relying on standard romance and visuals. I can't wait to see him push his limits!

I feel like he’s low-key hinting that his next drama might be a modern, non-idol one. Maybe it’s just me, but non-idol drama always gives me the vibe of a more serious, story-driven project.

How you became a fan is actually very similar to how I became one, even though I was definitely late to the Chen Zheyuan train. Lol. I first caught him in the Hidden Love trailer and thought he was really cute, but I passed on it because the genre isn't my usual preference. The second time I saw him was in The White Olive Tree trailer, and I couldn't believe he was the same actor. His look and whole demeanor were completely different, and I thought he was someone else entirely. Looking back, it's a shame I didn't watch it at that time.

​What finally pulled me in, though, was Fated Hearts. I stumbled upon a TikTok clip of his forest scene with Li Qin, and my curiosity took over. 😅 I’m so glad I gave it a shot. Since then, I’ve binged his entire filmography, from Handsome Siblings to his newest drama, and it’s been such an incredible ride.

​This is why Fated Hearts holds a truly special place in my heart. My Chen Zheyuan journey started here, and while supporting an actor always has its highs and lows, he makes it all endlessly worth it. I am forever grateful this drama introduced me to him! 😊

Exactly this. I really hope the MDL team listens to this feedback, it would be a major upgrade for the platform. It makes no sense that people can just go around spamming 1-star ratings on ALL the episodes of a drama even when it hasn't even finished airing yet. I doubt these people have even watched a single episode. 🤦‍♀️

It seems like people who aren't even watching the show are review-bombing every episode (even the ones that haven't aired yet) while actual viewers only rate what’s already out. Some people seriously need to get a life. It’s such a shame because this unfair rating might discourage potential viewers from giving a deserving drama a chance.

I hope he keeps picking interesting characters in the future. He has this amazing ability to completely lose himself in a role, to the point where it feels like a different person every time. Our boy is a total chameleon!!!
