Okay so after a lot of episodes where not much was happening. Episode 48 is giving some good progression so I'm happy about that! I can see things moving towards the end (which is necessary considering we're in the last few episodes).
Taro finally showed he cares about teamwork and it only took 48 episodes to get there, proud of him.
I remember in season 1 at the start I did have worries about their relationship (as unlike some, I only watch the show and don't read the novel). But for me personally a lot of things were overcome by this couple. Though the road to solving all their issues may just be a bit longer but I'm happy to be able to watch that progress ^^ Very cute dynamic between the two as we are now further into their relationship.
I would recommend reading the piece: 『パッチギ!』〜イムジン河を渡り切る意味について〜 by Chikaze It got me interested in the movie in the first place, they write about their own experience as someone with Korean origins in Japan.
Okay I'm gonna be real here. This show had potential but in my opinion it really went in circles a bit too much.
I don't care about the wife of Kijino Tsuyoshi and I never will but the drama sure seems to think I will if they keep that plotline going long enough. Kijino Tsuyoshi has serious issues and needs therapy.
I thought/hoped Momoi Taro would have character development and to some extent he has been less of an annoyance lately but I know its just a matter of time until he hits, kicks and pushes his teammates again because he feels he's superior to them. That will never change about him and I guess you have to like that about him to tolerate his character.
As for characters I can stand/do like: Momotani Jiro (he would've been a better ML if they actually gave him time to develop), Kito Haruka, Saruhara Shinichi, Inuzuka Tsubasa and essentially all the villains are okay.
Mayby I am not getting the story but this has overall been an awful experience. Now we're almost at the end and it feels like a liberation.
They really did dirty in early articles, cause they clearly talked about romance LOLBut thank lord they made it…
There will likely be romance in it but it'll be straight romance moments between ML and some girl. There's no BL romance in this one and its just other ML kinda acting like a very attached pet.
