These are all valid points, but then don't promote the story as a lovestory where the ML are 'slowly closing distance',…
I understand what you expect from the series and the characters, you are right to some extent, but I think when the name of the series, the main character and the main focus of the series are on middle aged gay man romance and when the main character shown as someone who never been in a serious relationship, who doesnt know how to balance relationship and work, and hasnt even show his true self in society, the goal is to show how he enters a relationship not showing jump into one and having tension moments. so we should lower our expectations a little from series. when characters are at a younger age (mostly Thai bls) they can be passionate and full of rapid changes in behaviors and decisions also they ju.p into relationship with other lead so soon but in middle age romance, its so slow pace and its logical i think. this kind of romance is still romance but from different aspect that we dont used to it still because of fast pace of other bl series.
I can understand the comments I read complaining that this episode didn't show progress between main couple and most of the topics are deviant, but it was clear from the beginning of series what the purpose of the series was. Sometimes you shouldn't look at all series only as BL, you should consider other genres, relationships, and emotions. Rather than focusing on the main couple, this series shows how a man who is approaching 40 is going to change his perspective on relationships and life. How does a gay person see a family and children? What does he think? Can he come out of his shell? Not all of these series audiences are supposed to be young girls. Sometimes these series should be made for older people or people with similar circumstances. Fantasy relationships are often shown in BL, but Japanese series mostly have a social theme that they deal with. When you look at it from this perspective, you see that the series process and points are actually very beautiful and appropriate. Not all relationships are meant to fit into a multi-part series, but they can portray the life of a 40-year-old gay man in a society, and this series has accomplished its mission.
no matter this comment section is full of hate and judging this series, I LOVE EVERYTHING about it. main couple and other characters did their job so well. also i LOVE the plot twist. if you want to watch it endure it to episode 5 after that the story getting exciting.
after a year i put it on hold i cannot bare it to finish. nothing really good about it. honestly i like the vibe of that office but...really meh. dropped
I like it really, japanese bls always have something to say... like there are a lot of social things they show but we cannot see this topics in thai or koreans bls. thats really good
After struggling a lot for continue this series finally I dropped it. they can use this beautiful and skillful couple (EarthMix) in better and new scenarios. im tired of adopting series. the original ones were really enough.
