It didn't really bother me the age thing since I'm so used to seeing 30 years old playing 18-20 yrs old in historical times. I definitely prefer watching seasoned actors, than some 20 years old newbie.

It's weird that I see so many comments about Seven Tan's age. Aren't most popular, bankable actresses in their 30s - Li Qin, Dilreba, Bai Lu, WJY, ZLY etc and they all have played 17-20 years old in historical dramas and I don't hear anyone complaining about their age.

No there is no romance yet since the FL is engaged to her childhood sweetheart. Although the ML is into her, he's very subtle and doesn't display it. They do have some fun, bickering moments and interactions.

I just completed this and it was actually not a bad watch. Sure, there were plotholes and stupid moments but there was a twist in the end and it was wrapped up nicely. The Beyond songs were definitely a plus.

I think they should just air all her dramas now quietly. It's never going to happen if they wait for the petty audience to stop criticizing her. If they wait, there is a chance it might get shelved forever like some other dramas (so sad about The emperor's love), and that will be a bigger loss.

I really like ZYC in this role. So different from his other previous serious roles. Him taking off his shoes, being bare feet, is rare to see especially when people even wear shoes to bed lol.
