The ending didn't make sense. So he changed the past by getting her to go aboard so she lives but then why did he still have the memories of them together and even his assistant has the memories of what wasn't supposed to happen (since it was changed), why was his memories intact?? major plot hole.

Why did she always wear the red eye make up? It makes her look like she has some allergic reaction.

I hate that they always let the bad guys get away even though it seems that they have them surrounded. Makes no sense that they were not able to chase and capture/kill them.

This was such a frustrating watch. I watched episode 1-10 and then 19-24 hoping that it would be better and not dropped it at 10. None of the characters are likeable including the main leads. Their actions were so questionable and the whole time, I was just like "why would you do that??" very annoying, especially with the most useless emperor in dramaland.

The only thing I'm disappointed with is the FL visually didn't really match with the ML. He's way better looking and she's average looking. I think her best friend and Elly are prettier than her.

I can't believe someone is actually complaining about the ML being shirtless after his shower. What about the water dripping down his body? lol I for one, enjoyed that scene so much!

This is actually a fun watch. I kinda miss these type of romcom where you shouldn't take it so seriously and question all the logic and just enjoy it for what it is.

Yeah it looks bad but I'll give it a pass since the drama is over a decade old. If this happens in a recent drama, I won't easily forgive.

Because of your comment, I'm like constantly looking at his hair now lol. It seems to be his real hair slicked back, instead of a wig over his head. I heard that the wig can be super uncomfortable due to the glue which could damage his real hair. Maybe that's why didn't want to wear one over his own hair.

I think you're seeing this through modern ideology. Back then, the punishment was harsher and depends on the family, and as you can see, very toxic environment. Maid and servants can be killed or sold for minor mistakes so no one speaks up for her. The child has no mother or anyone to back her up and the father is not a good parent and controlled by the 2nd wife, hence she was just left there and forgotten. I find it believable.

Maybe you should watch Nancheng Banquet if that is what you want. I haven't finished it but I saw all the comments that the FL was so clingy and love unconditionally even though the ML kept pushing her away.

I just started this and I didn't like the FL's look. She looks really old and what's with the ugly hairstyle with the 2 inches bangs. She looks so much nicer on the profile pic here.

You know they do filming in other cities so does that mean that the kid will only film during summer vacation? Like you said, they are not going to match your schedule, so very hard to get jobs if the only time you're available is July -Aug. Makes no sense to me.

Sure they can. Child actors don't go to regular schools, especially when they have a regular ongoing series. I can't speak for China but in Canada, they are exempted - singers and actors. They provide someone on set to take care of their education.

That's weird. There are many child actors and I'm sure they will provide a tutor for them on set to take care of their education. I think they are allowed to not be at school.
