Are you watching without sub/ bad sub? I don't think her friend is a lawyer. Her friend is not married yet, just living with the bf and she she got pregnant. They are planning to get married after the babies are out. She quit her job to become a stay at home mom. He cheated on her and I guess she freaked out/ went psycho on them with the investigation/ sending pics to the mistress workplace and now the mistress is going to sue her. Now she's so depressed and devastated, she drank and attempted suicide. I guess some people are just weak and can't handle a big blow. It happens... people do stupid things when they fell into distress.

I think it's also because her ex has been harassing her - waiting for her at her home, getting people to follow her, taking pics etc. so she didn't want him involved in the mess.

Yes I think it's more toxic with Chinese dramas because of the fans. It's considered mild here but in mainland China, it's crazy toxic I heard. People criticizing on the actors' look, age, body etc. Lots of fanwars going on. The sad thing is, Chinese law are super strict with censorship and bans so I really feel for the actors/actress. One tiny wrong move and their whole career is over.

Were you watching without sub? His mom followed him in the building and I guess she figured out which apartment. It's not a high class building so no front door person and security is lacking, I supposed. There wasn't even elevator in the building. The door wasn't shut properly. She said that.

I think they just hate her. CXX looks older for his age so I think they matched age wise in this drama. In the Long Ballad, wasn't Dilraba like 8-9 years older than Leo Wu. I don't remember people hating on her for being alot older.

Glad they are now airing 1 episode on weekends.

I think it's necessary from CY's point of view. QH is her boss and highly educated and rich. You think any Asian parents is not going to feel sad if they break up, losing such a highly desirable son-in-law? Just making it easier for herself when they 'break up'.

Maybe it was the bad sub but she explained to QH she didn't want her mom to like him especially if he's filthy rich and talented so when they breakup, it's easier that way. Which Asian parents want their daughter to have a bf that is poor and lacking education?

I'm only on episode 3. I thought you said the kissing doesn't start until episode 18?

That's his character/personality in the beginning. He's not a likable person. Did you not see the storage room full of death threats?? He gets better but if he's not your cup of tea, just drop it.

wah 15 more episodes...I'm not sure I can make it if there's not much going on. I don't like to cook so not really interested in the discussion about the recipe and food.

In the beginning I didn't really like the FL character but now at Episode 16, I really like her now. She's one of those character you want to be friends with. She's humble, compassionate, innocent, bubbly without being loud. She might not be too smart but she's hard working and willing to learn. One thing I really like about her is her gratefulness. If anyone help her, especially her boss, she would cook and do other stuff for him to show her appreciation. And I can totally see the ML starting to appreciate her and falling for her character instead of just her looks.

I want to watch the lovey dovey scenes but it was so slow, I'm still on episode 3...

She's a decent actress but I didn't like any of the characters she played - FOMH, have a crush on you and longest promise. Frustrated me so much. Hope this would be better but I'll watch for TJC.
