I'm only on ep 4. Her 2nd sister is a piece of work. She reminded me of Karla Homolka. Luring women for her husband to rape and even her own sister. EWWW
honestly when she took off her cloth I didn't see the scars as much I notice how skinny she is đź¤
Isn't that inline with her character? she was mistreated at the foster parents place and probably starved. Then she walked all the way to another city and she was then mistreated by her stepmother. The poor girl probably haven't had a decent meal.
I really don't get this torture of the prisoner even after they have confessed? I can understand them torturing suspects to get a confession out of them. What is the point of torturing them after? Usually they will set a sentence and execute them or something.
For crying out loud. Her sister was not sent to be tortured by a scholar. Her sister took her place . They never…
ikr. She has never even met her sister and the sister is dead. It would be different if she actually knows her sister and have a relationship with her. They are all strangers to her.
She was always the most feisty and unbeatable of them all. I can't believe when Wanghe finally confesses and she…
I guess she's not so perfect after all haha I know what you mean. I haven't watched yet but I was hoping she won't keep it a secret. Not sure why she would? I'm sure if one of the other gang kept his illness a secret, she would get all up and yell at them.
one of those, he seems to love her and somehow infatuate/love SiYi, too. it likes he can’t choose, it likes…
Yup I don't mind childhood friends to lovers trope but not the childhood connection line where it was just a moment and they were in love with that person. Not likely especially when they were kids. Not sure why so many c-dramas added that in now.
Let me rant here for the recent episodes and the trailer for Ep 31-32.. I'm only watching this drama for Ma Siyi…
If you're skimming all the other scenes except for Siyi and Chenrui, you won't really understand the deeper meaning of why the characters act the way they do, especially in the last 10 eps where Siyi only has a couple mins screen time.

I think this is way more realistic. WH might have loved Siyi at one time, but people move on and develop feeling for other people especially when they interact on a regular basis.
I really hate that trope where the kids meet for like 10 mins in childhood and one of them did some kindness and they decided to make them their life partner and never date anyone else. So unrealistic.
Congratulations to NW team: ‼️Hot dramas certified by the Shanghai TV Drama Production and Broadcasting Annual…
It seems the drama is doing really well in China. MDL audience just doesn't know how to appreciate a good drama except for idol dramas with perfect characters.
No, I have same thought. So suddenly it’s always her husband who has the power and he can just take that away…
I haven't started it. I was going to when this aired and caught my attention when I saw the trailer. I was hoping Si Jin was good since I like ZWY. Maybe I'll give it a few eps and see.

I hope this is not another kill Me Love me where on the 1st few eps were so badass and then all of a sudden they turned into these compassionate, emotional, weak-minded people.
Something doesn't add up. On the 1st ep the FL's mother was like this scary lady of the house who has complete power over everyone, even the grandmother was afraid of her. Then on ep 6/7, she is being bullied. What happened to her authority, scary self? So the only thing that gave her that power was her husband letting her managed the household?? am I missing something?
