Agree there is no growth in the princess, even in the latter eps, it was all me, me, me. She was still forcing him to do menial work for her by threatening him with telling the Jun father about harboring them. She was still the spoiled and entitled princess towards the end, and hence the difference between her and the possessive MLs. They usually have some redeeming quality and sacrificing themselves or character development in the latter part whereas there was no growth with this princess. That's why I find it really hard to rally for them together.

Not sure why they changed her character to this if her character in the book is different. She seems so incompetent and nervous around him, it's really hard to watch. I can understand a 16 years old with her first crush but a grown woman who happens to be a reporter acting this way is really off putting. I'm going to give it a few more episodes and see if it gets better.

I'm just on ep 2 and I'm not sure I like Liang Jie's acting here. She always seems to be spaced out or day dreaming. Is that how her character supposed to be? I thought being a reporter, should be alert and aware of the situation, not being love sick and melancholy all the time.

I would have no issue with her behaviour if the SML's feeling for her was reciprocated. I think that's the difference. It feels like she was forcing him ALL the time and treating him like her property. The ML behaves similar to the FL, that he was possessive but we all can see she also has feeling for him and not one sided and that's what makes it different for me.

Yes agree with this. She treats him like her property/ slave and I don't think her attitude has changed throughout the drama. I don't think there was any time she asks him what he wants or think about what is important to him. When you actually care/love the person, you put their needs before yours.

Qimin and the princess didn't exactly have sex though, right? they just 'sleep' together

The Jun uncle and cousin are so shameless. They have the audacity to storm JQL's residence and accused them 'how dare you give me the wrong documents to steal!? lol You STOLE from her and accused her of settling him up. Maybe they should report this to authority - I stole her production document but it turns out to be a fake. SMH

I haven't watched the last 5 eps yet but I'm ok with this ending. I didn't like the other 2 sad ending couples anyway.

Well said. I don't even bother to reply. I'm not even sure who was r*ped in this drama. If referring to the 1st scene, both the ML and FL were drugged. Who r*ped who?

And don't get me started on the 2 female villains. They barely got any repercussions at all for all the evils they have done. Not a satisfying watch at all.

I just completed this. They really screwed up the ending. I can sort of understand why FL didn't tell ML her identity in the beginning because she was upset he didn't care about her (Sheng Mian) at all but that last episode, she still evading and not explaining to the ML about the baby or the maybe abortion, that was just too much. She has not learned from that at all and no development. Sorry, I think it's better they get a divorce. The ML deserves way better.

No somehow he never met his wife. Not sure how they managed to take the marriage certificate photo (plothole?). Maybe he was so uninterested he didn't even bother to look at her face. I can see why the FL is so hurt. If he just show Sheng Mian just a tiny little bit of care, I think she would have told him.

I just watched ep 23 and I can't believe those who think the FL has no reason to be mad at the ML because she didn't tell him who she was. He married someone for 3 years and didn't even bother to find out how she looks like. She could die and he won't bat an eyelid. If I was the FL I'll be equally mad at him. She must have felt so insignificant to him, like an annoying fly. I won't tell him either. She shouldn't need to tell him anyway. In this day and age, you can find out in a minute.
