[SBS Entertainment News | Reporter Kang Kyung-yoon] Attention is focused on the police summons for questioning Kim Se-ui (48), the CEO of YouTube Garosero Research Institute.
The case in which Tzuyang filed a complaint against Kim Se-ui in February for intimidation, coercion, violation of the Information and Communications Network Act (defamation), and violation of the Stalking Punishment Act was once dismissed and then an objection was filed, and a supplementary investigation is currently underway. Tzuyang completed her questioning as a complainant at the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul on the 9th of last month.
The police informed Garosero Research Institute CEO Kim Se-ui of the investigation schedule in relation to the so-called Tzuyang case, but it was confirmed that Kim Se-ui postponed it twice in succession. The reason for the postponement of the investigation schedule was reportedly that she did not have time to be questioned due to the presidential election.
Tzuyang's legal representative, attorney Kim Tae-yeon, explained to SBS Entertainment News, "Even after the presidential election, we inquired with the police in charge, but they said that the suspect's investigation had not yet been conducted. They said that they were even considering the police visiting her home to personally coordinate the schedule."
Actor Kim Soo-hyun, who filed a complaint against Kim Se-ui for violation of the Special Act on the Punishment, etc. of Sexual Crimes (distribution of materials filmed using a camera, etc.) and defamation in April, is also said to have completed the investigation of the accuser.
An official from Kim Soo-hyun's side said, "It's difficult to give you a specific answer, but I understand that the suspect's side has already postponed the investigation schedule for this case twice. I don't know the reason."
As Kim Se-ui cited his broadcasting duties due to the presidential election as the reason for not being able to respond to the summons investigation, there is speculation that a police summons investigation is imminent as it has been over a week since the election ended.
A police official reportedly stated, "If he continues to refuse to appear without a justifiable reason despite active requests for a summons, we cannot rule out the possibility that we will switch to a compulsory investigation, such as issuing an arrest warrant."
