Plus, this is a good way to relax, communicating and socializing with people and learning new things. Unfortunately this year my work demands me to stay put, so no travelling and fun. I have to disconnect somehow so this page will be my break.

Wow, another media joke. They take old news from April and May and present them as being new in June. Convenient enough after KSH’s legal team's big win in June against Garosero and the family.

So, in April and May, we have ex brand companies who used fake evidence from Garosero (a wise and natural move in case this evidence turns out to be real, after the forensics verification) in order to file a lawsuit and secure the receiving of damages (in case KSH loses the lawsuits). The companies must receive damage payments from somewhere, that is a fact. Someone obstructed their casual, daily routine, they lost their model - the bringer of customers, therefore profits - and automatically they lost money.

We already knew several ex brand companies filed lawsuits. We didn’t know for what amounts (at least I didn’t although I took a guess) but we found out these days. Seizing is a simple routine procedure in Breach of Contractual Obligations under the Advertise Agreement and done correctly in this case - exactly before KSH’s legal team brought counter proof. It freezes an asset, forbidding it from being sold, as a guarantee that they will be paid for damages in the future. Although some will contest its moral ground, it’s irrelevant. As I said before : Business is business.

Then, in June, we have the 1st big win from KSH’s legal team, in which they presented evidence that Garosero’s claims are false. This evidence was compelling enough to seize Garosero’s both appts and his donation accounts and recognize KSH’s demand for damages worth 12 Billion won, something that never happened before in a Defamation lawsuit in S Korea. So, not only it’s a first but it’s huge. Of course, seizing works the same way. It freezes assets from being sold in order to be used later in damages payment.

The difference between KSH and Garosero in this case is that KSH still has other apartments and one or more bank accounts opened, so he has liquidities or he can sell in order to get money if he needs it, while Garosero has no real estate or any other bank account open, from what it seems, so 0 liquidities. So, at this point, Garosero is in big s**t. It’s only normal because the damages required from KSH are not even close to the damages required from Garosero&family. In the 1st case it includes some advertising losses, in the latter it includes all the possible losses that can occur after defamation.

The next steps are clear :
1. No ex brand company can get any money until KSH’s lawsuits against Garosero and the family are over.
2. If KSH wins he either pays the ex brand companies from his own pocket and retrieves that money slowly slowly from Garosero & the family, or he waits to get that money from Garosero & the family and pays the ex brand companies after. He is free to choose, unless a Court of Law decides otherwise. He could have paid the ex brand companies even today, as we speak, but he refused. This is a strategy image move. A smart one, in my opinion. In either way, poor ex brand companies, they have it the worst, but business is business. You never know when a garosero appears lurking from the dark, disturbing your business.
3. If KSH loses and refuses to pay the ex brand companies, they have the right to sell the seized assets and recuperate their losses.

I know that the amount of 12 billion won damages, asked by KSH includes paying the ex brand companies, it also includes all the money he had lost due to the scandal (contracts of advertisements, dramas, entertainment programs, etc).

What I don’t know is if this 12 billion won damages include as well moral, punitive, compensatory damages or any other additional damages that take place in such a scandal. Maybe someone can help me with an answer.

Anyway, today appeared the official statements of KSH's lawyer about a provisional seizure of one of KSH's appts, which happened last month on the 20th, as a response to an ex brand company's filing for it on May 8.

How is this possible for these "news" to appear today, misleading the public, when in fact this happened 3 weeks ago, when this ex brand filed it exactly in time, before the Court admitting KSH's evidence ? Thus, making all possible moves to get some money from KSH, knowing that the way things are going, they will have no chance to get anything from Gaseron ?

Sunny, you just said what I wanted to say. That as we speak, KSH is practically earning money because of the current broadcasts in Brazil and Taiwan. And not just any money, but real money. You said it better.

No worries. She can apologize all she wants. Once she's in the trial, she will have to face the law concept of "joint liability". This means it doesn't matter who started it or promoted or invented it nor how sorry they are. It means simply sharing the damages that must be paid to KSH, decided by the Judges. Shared by all 3 of them : garosero, family and aunt.

I've read it on Threads. But I didn't see an official declaration from her so I can't take it as real, yet. If this happens means she is trying to get away with paying the less damages possible, I think.
