My best bet right now, without seeing ep. 20 is that he realized the pet is calmed down by XQA which means the pet recognizes XQA as the supreme master (not even the Emperor could calm down the pet entirely but just for a brief moment), even bigger than the Emperor. And this makes the Emperor so upset (he feels outpowered) that even his favorite pet becomes "a beast". I think the Emperor is not sure yet or doesn't want to even think about it yet, that XQA is more powerful, because it was just a short encounter. Clearly, the Emperor will not go down easy and will not accept anyone more powerful than him.
So many interesting things in Ep. 19 but I feel the need to share my thoughts on the FL. Although the character of Princess Li'An was not on my taste and irritated me quite a bit, I was sure that she will have a massive change later. The story is so well written and build that it would be impossible not to. For me, she "redeemed" herself in Ep. 19 and offered me even more. The fact that she entrusted XQA with such an important secret was obviously not because he was the investigator but because she trusted him. Now, the thing with trust is that it must be gained. And that takes time. But there is only one shortcut to it and that's when you just feel it in your heart. This is the proof I needed in order to know her feeling for him are strong and true, even if she doesn't realize it yet. Not only that they look incredibly good together but I bet their connection will be very deep and true. In this moment I am their no. 1 supporter.

This drama is not like the others. The general feeling is that is laughter and fun all over, a complex story at its foundation, there is also action and a bit of drama around it and it gets more and more interesting and deep as we advance through it. For those who are interested in romance the opinions are divided. Although it is not the main thing in this drama it all gets down to the way you perceive the FL.

Now I found out is a riddle. That's good to know. I was thinking backwards. If that thing was at that guy why would he say "nothing" if he can be both a liar and a truthful man ? And I realized that "nothing" is the only word that can be used in both cases, so clearly that thing was there.
