The truth is that she is indeed the only woman that doesn't seem to fit in "the picture" right now. In this moment she is just a spoiled brat who seems to not know what she wants, not even what she likes and her only purpose is to be in competition with the other sister (doesn't matter the circumstances that made her be this way). Her position at court doesn't even make her important and with so many male heirs and a very intelligent older sister it gives you the feeling that she is replaceable anytime soon.
But I think here comes the catch. Her improvement should be wow. I have no idea what happens to her in the novel but I want to believe that the character won't disappoint, because all the other characters, all of them are so likable. She will be XQA's partner and she is the FL, after all. I am optimistic about her.

I don't think she is actually comparing. She has no arguments. She seems more like being delusional. She doesn't realize that both dramas were adapted after 2 different novels. And she is quite unstable. Better leave this user alone. She is very strange.

Yesss, and the respect he commanded in a blink of an eye without him even realising it was him and not the Princess's protection. It was such a good scene.

Bu Yin Lou is my fav. I don't think the Princess is dumb either, just very spoiled so she acts like a spoiled brat. I also think she doesn't know what she wants at this stage. Nor what she likes. Up till this point she just feels she is in competition with the other princess instead of focusing on finding her own path. I suppose her path will be linked to XQA. I was also surprised how many things she has in common with XQA.

In my opinion there aren't mixed reviews like it's either black or white, that it's either we enjoy slapstick or not. For the 1st time I read all 2063 comments (this is the present no. of comm) because I heard a lot of things about ratings, methods, hating, etc. that goes on, so I wanted to see it with my own eyes. Usually, I don't trust what others say.

From 2063 comments :
* few are over the heels from various reasons,
* most of them enjoy it very much and they have valid explanations,
* some are undecided or not that excited but would give it more time,
* few are here just to do harm for the sake of doing harm.

Some people watch it because of the genre, others because of the actors, some prefer it as being a lighter drama with no romance fuss after an intense year, others are still missing a good romance. Some are waiting for others to tell them how good or bad it is. Some trust their friends to come and tell them if it's worth it or not. Some can't read 2063 comments so they read the last ones and they might get influenced positive or negative (depending on their personal tastes).

In the end, this is a ML centered comedy at it's base, with only 8 episodes aired on WeTV (if you pay the subscription + Express) and in my opinion you can't evaluate anything properly until the very end. Up to this point, the general feeling is that most people enjoy it very much and that each episode gets better and better.

As for the ratings, I don't even care right now. With 366 users that rated it by now, here on MDL, this says nothing to me. On Tencent Video it has 9.1 rating with more than 500k users and still doesn't say anything to me. There are people who will change their rating, there are people who will rate it at the end, there are people who will try to downrate it and others to uprate it. Then we have to take into account all the platforms that are airing it, then we have to take into account that this is airing on National Television in China, which is something rare. Not all the dramas you see here get on national television, let's be honest now.

In the end, as long as this drama brings me joy (no matter the reasons) that's all that matters. So, I suggest for the newcomers to just give it a try and see for yourselves. Just enjoy the ride ! And if you are among those few that hated it or didn't like it, that's just fine. Just search another drama to watch, a drama that will make you happy.

It seems the world of the Dafeng is quite corrupted. There were talks earlier that fixing is not enough but a radical change is needed, so they are waiting for that person who could make that change. If he didn't kneel it means none of those 4 representative and powerful figures can make him bow, not even the emperor who seemed to be over anything and everything. In all those 5+ whole months you should have known this drama was advertised as being - Genres: Comedy, Romance, Wuxia, Fantasy. Anyone who is hyped for 5+ months would have known that.
Just don't bother and stop acting like you really watched any episode and you are oh!!!..sooo disappointed. Your reasons are not valid.
