OffGun is one of those few CPs who can exude chemistry naturally. I'm not surprised by Gun's acting talent, since he's been in the entertainment industry since he was 8. Off isn't a terrible actor, but he's not as versatile as Gun.
As for Cooking Crush, it's a cute series, kind of takes me back to when they were in Puppy Honey and Theory of Love (and the lesser known I'm Tee, Me Too), but I found it hard to take them seriously this time around. I mean, they're both in their 30's, but they're still playing college kids? Hopefully, The Trainee will give us something different.
I've just got to ask. Where did Saint get all this money to produce this show. This thing has a higher budget…
Well, he has a degree in economics, and Idol Factory isn't his first business venture. Plus, historically, Thai Chinese have been predominant in the business sector, so I wouldn't be surprised if his family also runs a business. He certainly has the brains for it.
Returned to this comment section after a whole week to gush about the show only to see Babe's character being…
Those body shamers are obviously trolls who have never watched the series and just want to sh*t on this page for their own entertainment. There are always people who are bitter about their favorite shows not doing as well as others and feel the need to drag them down.
...the background music of this series, is really great and works for the scenes...ππ₯°πβ€οΈ
Their OST is pretty good, too. I have Eternity Remembrance in one of my playlists and I can't stop listening to it. The lyrics are so beautifully written.
The plot here toward the end of things is rushed and very disjointed. They've done that thing where they have…
That's what I thought, too. They should've either cut out the vigilante case and focus only on Montree's case, since that case is so complex with ties to Tharn's parents' death, and Captain Akk's brother, and also with drug trafficking and police corruption. It would've been enough for a police investigation storyline, since they also have the mythology storyline. Instead, from episode 8 onward it feels as if they're cramming as much as they can into the remaining episodes.
Weird! Because I was thinking how come people are way too nice to this series compared to others! I only saw like…
Oh, don't worry. It's always like that. I've noticed that the critics normally don't show up until the series is nearing its end. I'm currently watching a Kdrama called Marry My Husband and it's going through the same thing. It's just another way to drum up more traffic for this site. Nothing personal. *shrug
Maybe. Don't get me wrong. I liked that case because like you said, it brings out an important message. However, if the main case was Montree's drag trafficking ring and its link to Tharn's parents' death, I'd rather they cut it, or maybe find some ways to tie it with the drug trafficking case. Or, if they made more episodes. Wish they made 14 or even 16 episodes instead of 12.
But itβs actually starting to make sense tho? The reason for his parents death was the king pin behind the drug…
The issue is the pace. One episode, Kao got killed. Then boom, Montree is introduced as the antagonist. Then bang, turns out Akk knew Tharn's father. It's like they're cramming as much as they can into the remaining episodes and leaving no time for viewers to think and process. So yeah, it makes sense, but they rushed it to the point where it feels unrealistic. Like I said, it's not a bad series, but I've seen this issue with almost all of the Thai dramas I've watched, so maybe this is a Thai drama trademark?
A storyline that complex should've been set right from the beginning of the series, not in the middle. They could've done without the vigilante subplot and focus on the Art/Kao arc that leads into Montree's drug trafficking and corruption within the police force. But of course, that's just my opinion. I still think this is a great series. Granted, it has its flaws, but there are good things, too.
I'm not sure what to make of this series anymore. The plot is feeling disjointed. Most series would start to wrap things up in the last few episodes. This one has decided to add even more subplots. Instead of working towards finishing up the mythology storyline, they're adding a drug trafficking storyline? And it happened to in Tharn's hometown? And the final antagonist is somehow linked with the death of Tharn's parents all those years ago? Like, what the heck? As much as I love this series, right now, all I can think is, "They better not rush and give us a crappy ending."
On another note, out of curiosity, has anyone bought the ticket to watch the series finale?
In the webtoon, Jihyuk said his mother died when he was just a child, and his father later married Cha Geumran,…
Yeah, probably. TBH, I didn't think too much on that. After all, the two siblings are quite close. Plus, according to Jihyuk, his stepmother treats him like he's her own son. So it doesn't look like they care whether or not they're blood related. They just accepted each other as family.
they could wrapped it up in 12 eps16 eps seems like a bit stretched
16 is a good number, imo. After all, things didn't really go downhill for the Minhwan and Soomin until after they got married, and now that it's confirmed that Yura will be written into the series, I doubt they can wrap everything up in 12 episodes.
Yura exists in the web novela (the original source of the webtoon), the webtoon version removed her. I read the…
I haven't read the novel, but I read on AKP that Oh Yura is a villain who has a privileged upbringing, and was arranged to marry Jihyuk. I don't know how they're going to write her character into the series, though, since there are only six episodes left. Frankly, I would've thought Minhwan/Soomin are enough for antagonists.
do ji hyuk and hee yeon have the same father? I thought at some scene they said that ji hyuk's father married…
In the webtoon, Jihyuk said his mother died when he was just a child, and his father later married Cha Geumran, who's one of the regional directors of U&K. There're two ways to explain this. 1) In one translation, Heeyeon is Cha Geumran's daughter from a previous relationship/marriage, because Jihyuk said he got a stepmother and stepsister when his father remarried. 2) In another translation, Heeyeon was born after his father remarried, which would make them half-siblings. The only clear fact is that Cha Geumran is Heeyeon's biological mother, but there's not much information about who her biological father is.
Did she pass her cancer to Joo Ran ? Please no , she is a good person π
In the webtoon, there was a confrontation between Yang Jooran and her cheating husband, resulting in an altercation that landed her at the hospital (or something along that line). There, the doctor gave her a full body checkup and they found a tumor. However, since it was in the early stages and they caught it early, they were able to operate on it right away.
Personally, I don't think Jiwon passed it onto her. Jooran was already stressed with work, raising her daughter, and dealing with her cheating husband. Also, Jiwon was with Jooran when she confronted her husband. If she wasn't there, she wouldn't be able to take Jooran to the hospital, and she wouldn't have gotten that checkup. However, Jiwon blamed herself because she thought she'd passed it onto Jooran by trying to change her fate. She thought it would be passed on to Soomin.
If you noticed, she becomes tall and short in those scenes. I'm definitely betting that they used a platform for…
Lol they did. Na In-woo is about 6'2" and Park Min-young is about 5'4". In the BTS, you can see her wearing platform shoes AND standing on a step-up stool. It's pretty funny, and the actors got a good laugh out of it.
