Yeah...it’s been like that for a while. I didn’t see anything wrong either...your comment was about filters in general..not anything specific. But the moment you mentioned that name ..the one we don’t speak of ..was enough for them to bring you that filter story and that's just one of like 4 or 5 they keep repeating...so you were actually lucky you didn’t get the rest of them..😁

I'm not a fan of filters, esp in dramas where heavier filters are on...and that's many..but i just try not to notice too much. A lot of cdramas have things I had to get used to when I started watching, like filters and some voice overs. But overall... some are just too good to let those things take over. And fof is good....slower-paced than VOS..it’s character driven, with a more simpler story and less plot twists.. but it really lets you connect with every character..

Yep..'m happy that casual viewers picked it up. This is what i hoped for..so the only comments I cared about reading were theirs. They are the most neutral....and I think it's thanks to them that interest stayed high... even with some fan wars going on.

I think he is smart enough to figure out what drives people..if genuin criticism or smth else..tbh it's not that hard to distinct...and the bullet comments are nothing new to him.
I remember one clip on Bilibili...the very first episode of FOF with bullet comm on.. and so many..if not majority...were mocking and criticizing everything that moved on the screen in just the first 15 minutes. This is some crazy obsession people have over gjm. Some love to join and watch his work just to rant...and he is the perfect target. Others are just bots and trolls in an organized attempt to bash everything he touches. So the actors.. some more..some less, are often the collateral damage. To find any valid true criticism are hard to find among the bullet comments..nd hope he gets it, learned from before ..so that he won't get unnecessary affected..
Not all of them are bad... I went back to some vos scenes on the Youku intl app..and most of them are just the normal ones...so it depends on the platform.

Glad to see the confirmation. 😄Yep..these were the scenes..could be more, but I can't remember...that made me believe that Jiling could be "online" and see what the puppet was seeing.
Some scenes also made me believe that Jiling wasn't doing this the whole time, because in one convo, LJ told him there was no reason to leave when he can.. as usual.. just absorb the memories when Jiling the puppet comes back.
I think Jiling was even "offline" when the puppet was pierced through the heart...he looked like he didn't know, if I remember this part correctly.

If you are thinking about an acc jelly...it is an old troll, active here and on other pages for a long time. She has shifted her strategy a bit, now dragging in Rui's name..among others..using a new angle to attack jjy. Most regular acc here know her well and the nonsense she is spilling, but the most effective has been just to ignore and report her. It has worked many times...

Yep, billing is one of the biggest pieces of crap I’ve heard about. I only found out about it last year...with all the nonsense about ranking actors, screen time, and how power levels must match billing..like we’re in kindergarten.
I pick what to watch based first on the story, how promising it looks...the actors and how good the acting I may expect, and the director. So when I heard about billing and what bs it means ..and i found about it with FOF...tbh i was baffled. It kills creativity...that’s it, i wish it dissappear and there are younger director trying to do it and i read that so far Mango is the platform that offers some liberties they don't have elsewhere..
With such a rope around their neck writers probably must think.. the 1st billed actor needs the most screen time..must be OP or Marry Sue, lets give hime more filler lines, more powers, if the the 2nd or 3rd gets lines or powers that look too good, it might overshadow their 1st so they have to cut it or shift it... just so the "balance" isn’t broken...or "fans" will complain..but billing explained why so many dramas feel hollow, with fillers.. illogical or no existing char development, and too many boring nd predictable OP Mary Sue characters...I've only finished one drama the last year..and have 2 on hold..
VOS has a descent ploot nd good character development, shifting smoothly with the story..I really liked wwy and wsg’s relationship and their characters...and I'm not at all into romances but their love story is only the second one out of all c-drama romances I've ever really enjoyed. I could write essays about them..and the same goes for Jiling and lwy...but also ywh/lj...there are so many nuances for people who know how to watch and not just look at their watches.

I'm not sure belong is the right word. Rui opened his own studio early on, so any contracts is likely between his studio and gjm. From what I've seen, actors working with gjm have a lot of freedom to take outside projects.

So...whatever the contract is, it looks pretty loose. My guess is if gjm has a project and really wants a specific actor he has a contract with.. they just need to free their schedules. Otherwise... they're free to do their own work.

We've seen this with Wang Duo. After YYM, he took on many outside projects...in many cases as one of the main leads. The same goes for Rui, who now has many outside projects, especially after VOS,..but even before it, like RC. Or now with Yanan, who is doing his own projects as a lead (i think he signed one too, not 100% sure). So gjm doesn't pin down the actors he has contracts with.. like other agencies often do...not allowing or making it hard for the actors to do any side projects outside the agency.

Aaah that..yes, but she cast the spell on the puppet, not the real Jiling..so let's say she deleted these memories from the puppet' s HD but errytime when the puppet came home, Jiling "downloaded" his memories so they stayed with him..she couldn't affect him...technically she could erase a day or two...only the memories that Jiling hadn't yet managed to absorb, but not the memories that Jiling had already absorbed..well...this is how it looks to me...
Plus the memories or experience that Jiling gained in "real time" ,( if I'm right about this)..he doesn't even need to absorb them..they were his from the start..

Not sure what you mean by "taken away". Jiling reads and absorbs the memories of his puppet every time he returns from a mission or simply wanders the world. So with the puppet's memories absorbed Jiling could in a way..experience what his puppet experienced..
Also a few scenes gave me the impression that Jiling could let's say "log in" to his puppet in and see the world around him in real time through his puppet's eyes..like CCTV 😄but this seemed more like an exception to me...rn I'm not sure what memories do you mean were taken away from the puppet.. or by whom..
