Unfortunately, I saw it before I started making notes, so I can only go by my rating of 9.5 to know I really appreciated…
Haha, that scene is definitely unforgettable! I felt so bad for Hong Ju too, but it was such a clever way to show that knowing the future doesn't always make things easier. I really loved how the drama kept playing with our expectations like that.

To make matters worse, the adorable child pointed at her arch-nemesis, Qi You, and called him "Dad." Qi You had always viewed Wen Yu as his lifelong rival; faced with her "accusation," his immediate reaction was that it was absolutely impossible.
Yet, for the sake of the child, the two were forced into a co-living arrangement to raise him together. These sworn enemies, once constantly at odds, found their dynamic shifting thanks to the little boy’s matchmaking efforts, gradually transitioning from a charade into a sweet, genuine romance.
I believe yours is the first review I've read that appreciated the drama. I don't mind slow if there is a point.…
I completely agree with you! After going through all the comments and reviews, I kept wondering why so many people weren't loving it.
My conclusion is that a lot of viewers just couldn't connect with the second half. Apparently, without a grand antagonist, lots of romantic intimacy, or constant dramatic twists, they lost interest.
For me, though, this felt like one of the most realistic historical political dramas I've watched, and that's exactly why I loved it.

The best part of that drama was Gongjin. I thought how magical it would be to visit, but, alas, it's fictional…
I felt the same! 🥹 Gongjin honestly felt like a real place, and the villagers made it so special. And I completely agree with you. The first half was almost perfect, but the second half leaned a bit too much into melodrama and unnecessary coincidences. It was still a lovely watch though.
