So well written. Starry love is good but also not for everyone. In my personal opinion it’s that drama where you’ll miss a lot of details if you’re going in expecting something you’ve watched of dramas wigh similar theme.

I’ve rewatched “To fly with you” so many times omg literally one of my absolute favorite show. I watched it while it was airing, rewatched all the episodes once it was finished airing. Then rewatched it every year after that on holidays and my birthday. I love that show and “Starry Love”(different theme) so much!
yett yall said nothing when zlh was being racist with a half ass apology the hypocrisy is unreal
Oh baby I had a lot to say then too. Even in one of my comments in this conversation i mentioned it too when I was speaking about the industry and cancel culture. I literally said he almost lost his career cause he spoke on things he had no business speaking on
The only reason I didn’t have a problem with or feel weirded out by the “siblings turned romantic” relationship in Go Ahead is probably because Song Weilong’s character never saw or treated Seven Tan’s character as a sibling, nor did they really do sibling-like things together. He always kept a certain distance and set himself apart. I don’t even think he treated Zhang Xincheng’s character as a brother either. They were simply there for each other and relied heavily on one another throughout school and life.
I need to rewatch it because I might be biased, but from what I remember, the only people who really regarded them as “siblings” were the parents.
I just want to say that you're not alone and I totally understood what you wrote here. You at least liked the second…
She was no victim. Though she was young, all of her choices were made solely by her. It's not his fault that she read into his innocent actions. With that said, him suddenly seeing her romantically as soon as she came of age, after viewing her as a child and even acting as her older brother several times, was incredibly weird and off-putting. It's even weirder when you realize he spent a significant amount of time with her while she was a child, only to turn around and date her once she was older.
Outside of that, unless there's another point of view showing that he had inappropriate intentions toward her when she was a child, there's really no reason to blame him for her decision to read into everything he did for her.
I just want to say that you're not alone and I totally understood what you wrote here. You at least liked the second…
Gurl I was lying…..I knew how THERE fans are….i later went back and edited my comment. I just couldn’t lie to myself.
I didn’t enjoy this at all. I just wanted to soften the blow for what I really had to say. I still don’t see it as bad show overall but the premise it’s base on it’s a little predatory…by little I mean a lot
You are a vicious Cnetz idiot. You're attempting to cost this young actress a plum role because of something her…
You’re the one who replied to my comments, mind you. So who exactly is the one lacking self-awareness here?
I keep telling you to stop seeking my attention by tagging me and replying to my comments. At this point, I genuinely feel like you’re at home kicking your feet with excitement and rubbing your hands together every time you see me leave a comment, just so you can reply in the hopes that I’ll acknowledge your existence, respond to you, and give you the attention you so desperately crave. Cause there’s clearly no other way for you to get it.
I'm going through my on-hold and dropped list, and since I'm allergic to leaving anything incomplete, I decided that I'm going to finish this.
Let me start by saying I think this show had VERY VERY good PR... It could only be that, or the main audience consists of teenage girls whose frontal lobes haven't fully developed yet.
I don't think it's a bad drama. The later episodes were actually okay, but because of the first part.....like the first 12 episodes? I kept overthinking i must say EEEEYUCK!!!!
Everything about those first few episodes rubbed me the wrong way. I know a lot of people are going to say, "But he didn't like her then." "It was just a one-sided puppy crush," blah, blah, blah. While that is technically true, the story is being told from HER point of view. I'm not in his head the way I'm in hers. I'm not insinuating anything, but it's still something to think about.
Outside of that, I hated and frankly felt completely uncomfortable with how the writing purposely created situations that allowed the two of them to constantly end up ALONE together in small, enclosed spaces. Yeah, nothing inappropriate was actually done, but some things just don't sit right with me.
The slow-motion shots whenever she stared at him, the romantic background music, the way it was portrayed as though she's the only one who "gets him"... If it's supposed to be a one-sided puppy love, what was the purpose of turning these regular interactions into romantic scenes with slow-mo editing and a sentimental soundtrack?
And it went on for like 12 episodes........basically half the whole show. One or two episodes would've been enough. Then they could've done the time skip to college, which would've felt much more appropriate.
There's nothing wrong with age-gap relationships, but in this case, those first few episodes just weirded me out a bit. Even though I know the male lead wasn't in love with her or romantically interested in her at the time, the way certain scenes were edited where she's in her school uniform and he's in regular clothes, clearly emphasizing their age difference, paired with her baby voice and his much more mature one just left me stunned.
Those scenes weren't doing what they were supposed to. They were clearly meant to come across as innocent and from a place of admiration, but the editing intentionally made them feel inappropriate. I honestly would've preferred if they had kept a little more distance between them and not made them seem so close or familiar during that stage of the story.
Anyway, I think the directors made some very questionable choices there.
Then they started dating RIGHT AFTER SHE LEFT HIGH SCHOOL, barely even an adult yet....HE even was the one who confessed, and I was just like... Okay, when did you suddenly start seeing her as a woman instead of that little girl you used to tutor?
I just wish I had never started this drama. I don't have a problem with it as a whole; the later episodes were a okay watch but those first few episodes were weird.
You are a vicious Cnetz idiot. You're attempting to cost this young actress a plum role because of something her…
If you think that’s what my comment implied, then good riddance. God bless your soul—and your brain, or in this case, the lack thereof.
I never said “theses” should be spelled “thesis.” My point was that all of my comments combined don’t even amount to a single essay, much less multiple theses. If anything, “thesis” would have been the closer comparison, not because it’s the correct spelling, but because referring to my comments as multiple theses is absurd given their length and substance. As for telling them to learn how to spell, that had nothing to do with the word “theses.” It was directed at the spelling mistakes they’ve made in their other comments.
Go seek attention and validation from someone else, babe. Maybe your parents can spare you some.
No tea, no shade, but this show wasn't that good and was severely overhyped.
I started watching this when it first aired, but I put it on hold until all the episodes were released. I picked it back up, then dropped it again because it was way too draggy, and the constant push-and-pull just didn't make sense. A few months later, I picked it up again because I hate leaving dramas unfinished, and new issues arose.
After a few more episodes, around the middle of the drama, I started feeling like the relationship and romance were way too one-sided. Yes, it was pretty obvious that they both loved each other very much. However, she learned about and even witnessed the many things he did for her and the countless ways he showed how much he cared, and she's just... I can't even put into words what I think of her character during that specific period. The words I want to use to describe her would make me sound mean. Anyway, I got past that since I guess they wanted to write San Yan as someone who deeply yearned for her.
Then I directed my attention to the second couple... Oh brother. I genuinely was not feeling their acting. I don't think it's a matter of whether they can or cannot act; I personally just didn't like their performances.
Another thing I DID NOT like was the styling in this show for any of the female characters; neither the female lead nor the second female lead. The second male lead was dressed sloppily as well. I honestly think the entire styling budget went to Jing Ting because he was the only person who consistently had well-fitted clothes.
They also did a poor job handling the female lead's trauma and mental health overall. That girl didn't only suffer from sleepwalking. Come on now, you're simply playing in my face. Furthermore, the rapist, the rape apologist, the classist stepsister, and the spineless mother were handled even worse. We saw that these characters were absolute monsters. We witnessed everything they did to the female lead and all the scars they left behind. Yet when it came time for them to face consequences, everything was wrapped up far too easily, especially for the aunt, the mother, and the stepsister.
I also wish they had put more effort into the storytelling surrounding the characters' careers. The way it was written, their jobs felt like nothing more than plot devices to create scenes, give the male and female leads an excuse to meet outside of town, wrap up another character's storyline, or introduce a new character. I'm mainly referring to the female lead's job as a journalist. Here's the thing: most of the time she was in the office instead of out in the field. The stories and exclusive interviews seemed to come directly to them rather than them actively seeking them out.
Anyways, outside of the romantic segments and the friendship scenes between the male lead and his friends, as well as the female lead and the second female lead, I found most of the writing to be boring.
You are a vicious Cnetz idiot. You're attempting to cost this young actress a plum role because of something her…
Yes, I'm aware that 'theses' is the plural of 'thesis.' The problem is that none of my comments qualify as a thesis in the first place. Even if you compiled every comment I've made together, they still wouldn't amount to a single essay, much less a thesis. So referring to them as 'theses' is most definitely wrong and inaccurate ... But I edited my comment to make it easier for a dummy to understand!
You're so desperate for a response from me that you've come back again, hoping to find another dimwit like yourself to agree with you. That's the only reason you're here—trying to get me to engage with you.
Go seek help from your loved ones. If you don't have anyone around you, go to therapy. It's been three days. I never once addressed you. You replied to my comment because you were seeking attention and validation from others, all because you couldn't handle the fact that someone who actually did their research and read posts from both sides came to a different conclusion than you.
Even after I gave an extensive explanation and broke everything down in layman's terms, you still failed to understand. Please go seek love, attention, and validation from someone else.
You are a vicious Cnetz idiot. You're attempting to cost this young actress a plum role because of something her…
"Thesis"... Do you even know what a thesis is? None of my comments even qualify as an essay, much less a thesis.
I’d be wasting my time arguing with a lummox. I’m actually employed. I don’t have time for you or any other window-licking troglodyte who feels compelled to comment simply because I made an objective statement they don’t agree with.
Go learn how to form proper sentences and practice your spelling while you’re at it.
You are a vicious Cnetz idiot. You're attempting to cost this young actress a plum role because of something her…
If you both weren’t such dullards, you would’ve understood why someone would use exclamation marks. Only an idiot would think someone used punctuation marks to make a point rather than because they literally belong at the end of an exclamatory sentence. Exclamation marks are used for emphasis not to proof “I’m right”
And do you think after LYX removes the people around her, these fans would leave her alone. Can you guarantee…
The statements are directly tied to her management... Reading comprehension is beating y'all's asses.
All of this was, and still is, about her management. Your team is directly tied to you; everything they say or do is a direct representation of you. Using reading comprehension and context clues from how the issue started in the first place should tell you that she's becoming collateral damage in the conflict between the fans and her team.
The only way to resolve the issue is for them to directly debunk the allegations and prove the other side is lying, (which they're unable to do for obvious reasons might I add) or remove the people who caused the issue in the first place. Otherwise, there is no way around it.
Nobody wants to indirectly work with a hypocrite. Furthermore, no production team will take on an actress who is considered high risk.
When workers ask for a pay raise or better working conditions and their demands are not met, what do they do? They strike and protest. This is the same thing. Unless the people behind her come forward themselves and step down, there is no way around it. The team did not only carry out smear campaigns against Ling He but also against several of Yuxiao's other co-stars.
And that's exactly what the other side is pushing for. Let's say their demands are met and the team is removed. Any hostility toward the actress from the official fan club after that would literally be plain bullying, which was never the premise of why they were against her in the first place.
Other c-netizens will see this, and as I said before, if such a thing happens, then the people who will lose face are none other than Ling He and his fans, while public sentiment toward Yuxiao will increase. Therefore, removing the bad apples from her team will do her no harm.
I know it may not be her decision, but the company holding on to those people and keeping them around her simply does her no good.
And do you think after LYX removes the people around her, these fans would leave her alone. Can you guarantee…
I think it's better that you grasp the entirety of the situation so you're able to be objective when making comments. I've done a detailed dive, and I saw that all of the verified accounts from Ling He's side provided evidence to support their claims. All of them addressed only the management and never the actress. Keyword here, VERIFIED accounts. The only reason she's caught in the crossfire is because the issue is directly tied to her.
Literally nobody addressed her. If you were to take the time to visit Weibo, then you'd know that the verified fan accounts are calling for her removal solely because of the people around her who spread propaganda. Literally no one is attacking her as a person or questioning her integrity as an actress.
Every artist has fans and anti-fans. Ling He's fans only called for Yuxiao's removal because of her management's past actions toward their favorite actor. Therefore, calling for her removal does not equate to his fans hating her.
Removing the people who are causing the issue is, and should be, the first course of action in making everything right. Of course, she'll still face some backlash. However, according to Ling He's official fan club, they have no issue with her being the female lead outside of the concerns regarding her management.
If, for any reason, they are still against her even after she removes the person responsible to correct the issue, then it won't take long for everyone, including c-netizens, to come together, and it'll be Ling He and his fans who end up in the hot seat.
Removing someone who is harming your career is far from a ridiculous idea. The issue with your comment is you seems to dismiss the possibility that her management could bear any responsibility.. Also her and her team, should they address the issue; it shouldn't be solely because they think all the bad press will disappear with their statement. That's not how the industry works.
I'm on your side tbh, no offense but why are you wasting your time replying to the asinine person. If you checked…
I wanted to reason with them since i genuinely believe they didn’t understand how the industry works since most of the things they’ve been saying were simply out of touch but I see it now. I felt rage baited so i simply didn’t reply to their last comment and left it at that.
I'm on your side tbh, no offense but why are you wasting your time replying to the asinine person. If you checked…
I’m honestly through with that person. No matter how much I’ve explained to them that I’m not choosing sides or bullying anybody but simply laying out the facts on the table and showing that the odds are stacked against Yuxiao because of the management and they think I’m driving the actress to suicide😐
You are a vicious Cnetz idiot. You're attempting to cost this young actress a plum role because of something her…
Being dull must be a talent, and you’re clearly top of the class. I’ve never met someone who struggles this much with basic reading comprehension, and it’s 2026. At this point, it has to be rage bait because I refuse to believe God created someone this much of a nincompoop.
I need to rewatch it because I might be biased, but from what I remember, the only people who really regarded them as “siblings” were the parents.
Outside of that, unless there's another point of view showing that he had inappropriate intentions toward her when she was a child, there's really no reason to blame him for her decision to read into everything he did for her.
