I always wondered what motivated people to fansub. I thought it would be just a painstaking task. I didn't know it was so enjoyable. I'm glad to know he likes it so much. We definitely appreciate it!
haha this had me literally grinning the whole time. If I were to quote all the things that had me rofling 80% of the article would be in this post. I always love your writing Rita. You're starting to inspire me to overcome my laziness and actually take time to improve mine. And... you were thinking about me when you mentioned Maki weren't you?
I haven't seen #3 and #4 yet, but I definitely agree with the rest.

Yeah I need to see the 2 movies asap, but I can't get the torrents. Do you have the torrents, or could you get them and email them to me?
About Beautiful You - hmmm.. I have mixed emotions about it. One side of me is just mocking the ridiculousness of it's Kdrama cliche's, while the other side of me is actually enjoying the newness of it all. Overall it feels like a totally different show, but it's also bringing up all the wonderful memories of the 2007 J-version, so much so that I started watching the 2007 J-version for the 3rd time today. So no Beautiful you is not perfect but it still has enough Hana Kimi magic to it to make me keep watching it.

So I just finished Kisarazu Cat's Eye and it was great! Thanks for the suggestion. And yes, I now love the writer of these awesome dramas. This one reminded me a lot of IWGP. I loved KCE, but I still think Unubore and Tiger and Dragon were a little better. You can't help but to love all of them though. The writer does a great job at creating a large cast of characters and situations that are hilarious, touching and a little perverted haha. It's always a fun journey watching his dramas.

But if you wanted a recommendation for a Japanese show that's not currently airing then I would recommend Bara No Nai Hanaya. It's a gem, lol. Really good.

Yeah, i might've watched it again if it wasn't so sodding long lol (charlism). I won't be watching another show that long for a while. But about the currently airing Jdramas, I guess you could say I'm out of the loop too. I'm only watching one. It's the new GTO. It's pretty good, but nothing to rave about. The old GTO was better IMO.

lol holy crap, you've gotta see this if you haven't -
Yes, Hurley is awesome. I actually just finished Lost. I do agree with you that shorter stick to the story shows are a better way of doing things, but I loved Lost, even if it did get a little ridiculous, especially at season 5. I won't be watching any more long running shows for a long time, but I'm glad I watched this one. I kinda wanna watch flash forward even if it doesn't go anywhere just because it has Takeuchi in it lol. Oh and if you ever get a chance I would suggest you watch episode 5 of season 4. It's a time traveling episode, and it can stand on it's own. I think you would like that one ep.

Yeah Hurley was awesome. About the end - I feel like it was good if you know everything was going to end badly in real life like it basically did. By badly I mean Jack and many others dying. But I was really hoping for another atom bomb meshing of alternate universe thing to happen where they could've all lived happily ever after. But anyways it was really good to see them all together at the end. And yes had a special spot for Sun and Jin too, but I guess I did for a lot of characters.

Hey, I just finished Lost. It was a brilliant show. I loved it. The ending made me sad and happy. It's going to take a few days to get over it.

Nice review of Hana Kimi. You're right, Jdramas do have magic to them. Trust me, there's more to come. If you're still craving something like Hana Kimi then try Nodame Cantabile.

What? No way. I thought the 3rd season answered a lot of questions, but the 4th season opened up with a bucket load more. That's what it takes to keep a show going for 6 seasons, but I can see where you might get impatient or overwhelmed by that. Especially when we (people who watch asian dramas) get answers in 10-20 episodes most of the time. I'm 3/4 through the 4th season now and I'm still loving it, but I am missing my Asians shows a little.
I never saw Flash Forward, but I just looked it up and holy crap was Takeuchi Yuko in it??? How'd that happen.

Yeah, I'm actually switching it up a bit and watching an American show right now. It's called "Lost." Have you seen it?
