Better without the plot? I enjoyed this tremendously up through the halfway mark - up til then I could ignore the historical subplot. After that, too tedious. A good show, not as funny as others. The Jalgeum Quartet was pretty flawless all together, although I became a bit bored with Lee Seun Joon's character after a while: way too noble. But of course he has to be for the plot. Loved the other 2 guys! And Park Min Young is so cute to watch, even if she never truly looks like a guy. Oh well.

It's got it all! I very much enjoyed how this drama didn't follow the exact plotline of most K-dramas. What it did follow was the "how to create a perfect romance and unbeatable chemistry between the main characters." That plus great music, and pricelessly hilarious moments. And could this have been in any way better casted?? I think not.

Perfection! A slightly unusual twist on a familiar tale = and just about perfect. The leads are completely adorable. The story is engaging, realistic, and keeps leaving you waiting for more. Not a boring bit anywhere in this show, as you never know where it's going next! Kim Sun Ah, I bow down to you. You are glorious.

I have never seen anything so beautiful than how this story starts out. Find a box of tissue and sit it out. You will cry. It will be worth it. Be prepared for the story to lose some of its intensity as it goes on, but you will still love seeing the characters as they grow and change. All the actors of stunning - especially the young ones in the beginning. They will melt your heart before they even grow up.

Ok so it's not perfect, but what's so surprising about this series is how great it is from episode to episode. Never a dull moment! And I love the cast of actors - they all had such great chemistry together, whether romantic or just plain out intense-ness. Every scene sizzled when the two main GUYS were onscreen together. I found myself more and more anticipating the chase those two had going continually. I honestly think I loved the character of the prosecutor just as much as I liked the entire show.

Ladies First? How about RAIN first! Spectacular action-thriller! Part melodrama, part comedy and that playful unbelievably awesome banter and wit as only Rain can deliver. This is a 4 star drama, but with him it makes 5. So you say the storyline is a little unrealistic? So what. Every actor in this show delivered! Love the side characters, police detectives, rival investigators. Everything adds up great!

It's not your average Kdrama Rom-Com. Greatest Love is mixed with a different sort of spice. Older actors/characters, with a quirky twist of humor which can be a little disarming at first until you catch up with the pace. I can't say this is a must watch, but give it your all if you have the time (and you love the actors - which I certainly do).

This drama took me shockingly too long to get into.. about episode 13 to be exact. Too many twists and contrivances, lies and misunderstandings, with characters (or their writers) absolutely refusing to clear things up until it's way too late, and I'm bored stiff, and fast forwarding through every few minutes. Halfway through, the drama picks up a bit, but that's only because I was fooled into believing there might be some character development: there was little to none. An interesting twist I'm glad I didn't skip, but I still feel like I could have spent this time with a better, less painfully melodramatic drama.

Seriously no depth. A Kdrama will have its ups and downs; times when you want to scream with frustration, and times when you want to die, just for cuteness overload. This doesn't seem to have any cuteness. The main characters have absolutely no chemistry, there are almost no redeeming scenes. Yi Seul is perpetually clueless, Baek Ho never seems to step up to the plate (sad, considering this is a baseball drama as well!). I might have given it 2 stars, but I have to admit the last few episodes are actually watcheable. Still doesn't completley redeem it though. Oh well, they can't all be awesome..

Awesome drama! How is it possible that the actors are so cute together, and the songs so catchy?!? This is a rewatchable drama, and a great intro to Kdrama, or at least an awesome reminder to Kdrama fanatics like me that some stories really are just amazing. Is it the most awesome drama? No, but then I'm a critical fan, and harsh on the ratings. But when we're talking about the whole Kdrama genre, they're all just so good, you have to take them to the next level!

Really, the only reason to watch this is for Gong Yoo and his adorable smile. It's priceless. The second reason to watch is because Gong Yoo + Gong Hyo Jin = super sweet couple. The rest of the drama is pure kitch. Fast forward through the student drama - it'll work out whether you watch or not. Although there are the occasional nice characters and funny moments, and even the family drama isn't too overplayed. Dad and stepmom are just softies deep down. Easy, light entertainment. Worth your while if you're in the mood.

One of the most phenomenal dramas ever. 54 episodes is a ton, and it does suffer from some pacing issues (as anything epic of this length must). That said, I couldn't seem to skip more than a minute of this drama! Every character is compelling, each episode's plot is worth watching...I got to episode 25 and somehow after that couldn't manage to stop watching! This has got to have some of the most satisfactory conclusions to plot strands ever. Believable acting, heartbreaking stories, you'll want to cry your eyes out in happiness.

Mesmerizing! A story of four people and how they've loved each other across time. These are not your typical love stories either. They're unique and moving and passionate! The actors abound in great depth. They have to, playing so many different characters across history. The flashbacks are done like individual movies, I think I could go back and watch those anytime. You won't see where this is going until the end, which has a surprising amount of subtlety for the Kdrama world. It's worth it.

A very low key movie - fairly refreshing if you're like me and watch dramas almost non-stop. I just love how subtle the whole thing felt. The pace of this film is like a slow walk with your favorite person in gorgeous weather, or I should say with gorgeous photos of the sky, and fields, and a mailbox. And I love how the pinnacle of the drama revolved around the man who takes those photos. Lovely story.

Hard to rate this one - It's more than the just "fair," but compared with so many other dramas whose primary function is to produce easy light laughs, it dulls a little. Don't get me wrong - each of the characters were refreshing. Their Kdrama counterparts are almost always more angst/drama-ridden and overly-emoting. But after 18 eps, Protect the Boss is almost too predictable. On the other hand: two overly-gorgeous males having a cat fight under a table cloth is possibly the best thing I have ever seen in all my days!
