I loved this show. It didn’t pan quite how I would have liked. However, there were many scened where I had tears in my eyes, which means the actors did an amazing job to portray the heartfelt moments.
Overall, this is a good show. The ML is a bit of prat at the moment (especially in ep 8). Anyway, our leads are very good together. I like Johnny’s shows and LQ is a delightful actress. You can see they actually enjoy their interactions at times. I don’t know if we really need Zhou Ran though as there are plenty of other good characters with potential storyline’s to get into. MDG also seems to have a bit more going for it than YAMH.
Well, in my view, after two episodes, Imitation is very, very good. In episode 1 we saw the dark side of the industry. In episode 2, we were introduced to the more aspirational and uplifting side which was a nice contrast.
What a clever and intelligent little show. This is a hidden gem. and may be the sleeper of the year. I can;t wait…
Hello, phl, I am enjoying this show very much. We are getting to see some things that you don’t see see in many other shows including great little details here and there. Even the mystery side to the story is well done. Even the coroner aspects and requirements are done well. I think that as far as villains go, the chief eunuch is right up there with the best. He is a complex, considered and emotionally reactive baddie all at the same time!
I am glad you appreciate his smile. It’s only in certain situations where I find it a bit much. At other times it suits. In Eps 3 and 4 the smile worked for me. Perhaps I am finding it infectious too :-)
Superb acting by Lee Je Hoon re episode 10. Esom’s a great contrast - very natural, matter of fact, rational and a steady presence in this show and I like that.
Perhaps an unpopular opinion but I feel like CTJ is not meant for these roles at all,he just doesn't look the…
Yes, I think you have hit the nail right on the head re CTJ. That’s interesting your observation re Exit. I describe it as good heart in your mouth entertainment.
After 16 episodes: this show is a pure delight. I find the whole approach refreshing. I think I might even like this more than the Sword and the Brocade.
Today, I felt, with ep 9, Taxi Diver finally hit its stride! Overall, show is good storytelling. Not easy to watch at times, but the performances are excellent.
Well, I enjoyed episode 3. The first two eps were very up and down, though. CSY is playing her role well so far. I find CTJ a little wooden, but he has his moments. HCS is very good - very adept at how he portrays charming one moment and demon the next. HJA is okay. In fact, I hope we get to see her shine a bit more.
