The preview for new week is part swoony and part infuriating.
The infuriating part is the police saying "chocking your father is parental abuse". Seriously, after everything this POS has done to his wife, sons and even the son's friend with the police doing nothing, they take issue with a son reaching his breaking point and fighting back... Ugh.

They could not just change it because the cop-husband would have been able to access the records. And he would have been able to instantly find them. The mother even asks about it and the clerk tells her it is impossible to hide the new name - that's how she meets her new husband.
So, she only needs to look thin and ill for the first episode ... How does it make sense to lose that much weight for the role if the plot mostly plays 10 years in the past - way before the character becomes ill. Strange.
I do not have access to kakao, but I did read it. The original Red Cage from 2014 ends with him being fatally stabbed, and then his urn next to his mother's. Maybe the author rewrote/retconned the ending since he is now writing a sequel?

The friend is in some way even worse than the husband, as she has been alienating the FL from everyone while pretending to be the only one on her side since high school. So the FL manages to make the friend want to steal him and marry him herself. Which not only comes with a cheating hubby, (who now wants the FL to become his mistress) but also a monster-in-law (that made FL's life hell because she thought she was at fault for not getting pregnant - not knowing her son is infertile). Later, the friend kills the mother-in-law and ends up in prison. The husband tries to kill the friend by sabotaging her car, but somehow ends up killing himself instead... So both get what they deserved.
The FL on the other hand gets a makeover, exposes her friends on a school reunion, gets rich by investing and snatches the way hotter and nicer team manager. She also becomes good friends with two coworkers.
