Person Li Yi Tong
to be honest, she really looks like bai lu. but her smile is sweeter and cuter than bailu. no offence, just personal…
That's exactly how I feel. I can't become a fan of Bai Lu, no matter how hard I try, for some reason her play doesn't catch my attention, she seems to play well, but I still don't get an emotional response. The only role she played that I really liked and I wanted to empathize with her character in "Till the end of the Moon". While Li Yi Tong was hooked with a very small role in LBFAD, I immediately found her acting likeable, and after "Dream in a Dream" I definitely really liked her as an actress. I think Bai Lu has more of a Femme Fatale type. And I personally am not a fan of this type.

And although many people are annoyed by CGH, I personally am even pleased with this development. And after episode 28, I can say that Wang You Shuo is excellent at his acting. I usually only saw him in the role of good guys, and his appearance encourages him to play overly idealized characters. But here he plays his character in such a way that you forget his previous roles and you already want to hate his character, but still, even if a little, but feel sorry for him (not to confuse with sympathy). I think this role is much more interesting to play than another boring unrequited person in love.

I can't wait for stupid CGH to find out his vendetta and hatred against NH is nothing but a ploy by NH's uncle.…
To be honest, watching the development of CGH's character now, I wouldn't be surprised that even when the whole truth is really revealed, his brain will simply not be able to accept such a truth and he will simply fixate on denying that he was always right and others are lying. It already seems to me that this is not just his character, his mental state is already beginning to shake before our eyes.

Same. If she instantly changed in the drama it would only be a short drama. There are 40 episodes (1800 minutes)…
So that's exactly the difference between a ML and a FL as characters right now, their current character development is about the same, but we know a lot more about the ML's backstory than the FL. They literally try to show and tell us in detail about his life from childhood to the present day, reveal his family ties, who he was friends with, who he was an enemy of, why he grew up the way he is now. Therefore, his character seems to be more deeply worked out. Whereas, for the most part, we only know about the FL's life that she is an actress. And I think this could also be one of the reasons why the audience feels more for the ML than the FL. Without a proper background, it is more difficult for the viewer to understand and sympathize with the hero.

I don't quite agree about the development of the FL. A certain development of her character is still given over the course of the story, but she lacks the background of what kind of person she was before getting into the script, what exactly her life was like. We were given a bit of her backstory in episode 1 and that's it for now. I personally hope that they will tell us more about her real life in future episodes.

There is nuance , in this case, the FL did not fall into a real specific historical period, but into a scenario…
And why did they have to get rid of a single trope, if the script was originally supposed to be like this, full of cliches from other dramas? This is the reason why the FL was so skeptical about this scenario in the first place. Because it was full of these same cliches and tropes that she knew from other dramas. In fact, it is supposed to be a parody of all these dramas, this script is a generalized image of all these dramas. Therefore, the maximum number of all these cliches is initially used here. The plot of this drama is how a human from reality "breaks the fourth wall" in a typical "historical" romantic drama, just like all other dramas like it. This is the whole point of what is happening.

Started without expectations. I like LYN but I didn't like his latest dramas with the presence of the usual "wonder…
There is nuance , in this case, the FL did not fall into a real specific historical period, but into a scenario with a near-historical background and some fantasy elements. So a certain discrepancy with the reality of a real historical era is not such a terrible thing here. The environment surrounding the FL is already supposed to be initially fiction.

how? For trying to kill the man who literally killed her first? 😭 Funny how when it’s a male lead, he’s…
The audience forgives not just a man, the audience forgives a handsome man. The way I explain this double standard in dramas is that the majority of viewers of such dramas are women. Therefore, falling in love with the actor's handsome face, they are ready to forgive many of the sins of his character. And the heroines, respectively, they subconsciously perceive as rivals. Therefore, they are more critical of their actions. As for the immaculate Mary Sue's great popularity as the main character, the audience just likes to put themselves in their shoes, a kind of escapism. I'm not saying that all female viewers are like that, but I can assume that many are. They don't see drama as a story with its own development of different characters. They look at drama as the embodiment of their own fantasies.

It's like the Love Game Eastern Fantasy plot FL keeps dying lol 🤣
Not only that, but the FL will also eventually fall in love in the drama with the antihero who was supposed to kill her in the original plot of the story. And they were also supposed to be married at the time of the heroine's murder.

The more I watch it, the more I like it and Li Yi Tong is such a charismatic actress) It's a real pleasure to watch her) I also like watching how Riley Wang plays) His characters are always so charismatic and cute with a bit of devilry. I hope in future episodes this drama will not slip in terms of plot quality and the intensity and seriousness of the story will only increase.

Don’t come for me, but I’m not sure about Wang An Yu in a historical drama. I loooove him in modern dramas…
I really think his acting will depend on the quality of the character writing. I only saw him in "such a good love," which is a modern drama, but not another fluffy romcom, but a drama for the most part, and I can say that he seemed to me to be a very good actor there, with a truly sincere performance.

After "The Long Night," I have to say, I'm really impressed with this actor. Just Wow. Of the Chinese actors I've seen who are about his age or younger, I can't think of any other actors with this level of soulful acting. It turned out to be a real hidden jam. His acting is on a whole different level compared to most of the more famous actors in all kinds of idol dramas. I would like him to come across more good projects with interesting characters in the future.

According to rumors, she signed up for one script, but later changes were made to the script, probably not the most pleasant for Shuxin. In this case, it's not like she has the freedom to choose if she signed the contract before adjusting the script. Other rumors say that she didn't have a lot of shooting days, which makes me personally worried about how much screen time she'll get as a result. It might turn out to be more of a male-centric drama, which I really wouldn't want. I certainly hope that most of the rumors turn out to be false, but after all, this isn't the first time they've treated Xinxin dirty. So there are concerns anyway. I have no doubt about the chemistry between XinXin and He Yu, they look organically together in the frame, and He Yu is not a bad actor (although I mostly know him only from his supporting role in "The Legend of Shen Li"), but there are a lot of questions about other aspects of the upcoming drama. So I'm waiting for "Love and Speed" with extremely cautious enthusiasm.

It also depends on what they mean by a strong character, in my opinion, a strong character can even be a cute character if the author wishes. To understand strong and cool characters, only those who know how to smirk beautifully at the camera, walk with a stone face (well, according to some, this is extremely difficult to do, although in fact it is one of the simplest actions in the act) and wield a sword, even somehow it is already banal. Moreover, in most modern Chinese dramas, in order to show FL as a strong character, they generally mold her into more Mary Sue than a real person, without any flaws or weaknesses (and if there are any, they are ignored in the plot), who are initially the smartest and can do everything or learn incredibly quickly. The problem with the character of Yu Shuxin in the LGIEF, in my opinion, is that her character was not given any development arc, by the end they shifted almost the entire focus of attention only to ML, even 2ML and 2FL gave more development than FL (in "Love between a Fairy and the Devil" both ML and FL gave full development equally). And to be honest, I'm afraid after all these rumors that the same thing awaits us in "Speed and Love," the character of Yu Shuxin will again be mostly just ML's love interest, rather than a full-fledged character with its own storyline. That's why I'm probably more looking forward to "The Road to Success" and "A Journey to Glow" (if she's actually filming there).

As for acting, for me, most Chinese actresses, even very famous and popular ones, do not have a particularly stellar performance, the rest play just poorly, only a pretty face saves, many are easily replaceable, there is no special presence on the screen, but a good script can save here. So compared to the rest, Yu Shuxin plays normally by the standards of the Cent, at least her acting is able to evoke positive emotions in me and I want to follow her on the screen, I would say she can feel her role and immerse herself in the character, living its life on the screen and I like that she likes to challenge herself challenge and develop, in the future it can all pay off for her. Therefore, I also do not understand such attacks on her performance, and it is funny to me that people compare her role in "My Journey to You" with, for example, "Love between a fairy and the devil", saying that they liked her performance there, but not here, ignoring that in these dramas she plays diametrically opposite characters , it just really says that they like one type of character and dislike the other, it's not about the actress, but about the role itself. As it is, I personally find the performance of Korean actresses, and actors too, better than Chinese ones, at least if we are talking about young one.

Well, I've heard about it, but for me, in this drama, the story itself is poorly written. It's like they tried harder to make every frame beautiful, but they didn't want to spend extra time on high-quality script development. Personally, I can ignore the beautiful shots in the drama, but I can't ignore the bad script. And no matter how much I love an artists, I won't watch anything with them if the story they're involved in is poorly written.

For me, Yu Shuxin is one of those rare actresses whose cute roles I can like, not that I have anything against cute types, it's just that not every actress is able to portray such a character sincerely enough that it could create sympathy from the audience instead of rejection. Yu Shuxin manages to show off her cuteness quite naturally. Plus, her characters, despite their sometimes childish behavior, still have brains (this is much better than the heroines, who are stated at the beginning of the story as smart and mature, but then throughout the story they commit absolutely stupid illogical actions, even while wearing an absolutely stone face), are multilaterally developed throughout the story (and not they are only fixated on the love line) and have character development (as in "The Love between a Fairy and the Devil"). For example, I stopped watching "love and redemption" on episode 8 or 9 because I couldn't stand the FL and judging by the reviews, it would have been better if the situation with her character hadn't been there in the next episodes, I also like Dilraba Dilmurat, but I don't like her character in "Eternal Love", that's all I skipped the scenes with her (it's a good thing she played a supporting character there), and that's also why I don't like "eternal love of dream". So I don't like all the cute characters, I have my own criteria. But at the same time, no matter how much I love the cute roles of Yu Shuxin, I really like that she tries to play other types of characters, because that's the essence of actors and actresses, they shouldn't be stuck in the same role, but be able to transform into different types of characters each time. But I must say, I don't like her role in "my journey to you," again, I like that she tried something new for herself, but her role in this drama is rather dull and it's not the fault of the actress, it's the fault of the script, the drama itself, in my opinion, turned out somehow. boring and empty. The picture is beautiful, but there is no depth to the content of the story or the characters. I hope she has better luck with the script in the future.

Personally, I see people who just leave comments insulting the actress, not even constructive criticism, in each of her dramas, as arrogant idiots with a lot of free time, it's impossible for them to explain anything or bring out their common sense, as if you don't like the actor or actress so much, you can just not watch their dramas. In my opinion, the best thing is to simply ignore such people, because provocation and attention are all they are really looking for by leaving such comments. As they say in my country, "the dog barks, but the caravan goes on".

Even fiction should have its own boundaries and reservations, so as not to go beyond the norms of human morality, first of all it concerns good characters, villains can act as they want, but the narrative itself should not encourage such things.

people who is not into this story, maybe keep it to yourselves. I guess majority of us here are adults so I believe…
I disagree with the statement that since it's fictional, then such things don't matter. In this particular drama, I do not see incest, the main characters are not related by blood, they did not grow up together, they did not have a full-fledged brother and sister relationship, the ML allegedly always knew that he had other parents, the FL found out about it before meeting him. So I don't see any particular problem in their relationship here. But if there were no such nuances here, or even worse, they were real brother and sister by blood, then the excuse that this is not reality, but fiction, would not work. It would be the popularization and romanticization of truly unhealthy things.
