It was a decent drama and I don't regret watching it because the investigation parts where the most interesting. But if there's a second season I won't be tuning in. I can't stand Mo Er and the FL lost me during the last half. As a big sister myself I hated how dirty she did her brother.
Second part was not good at all but I will give credit to Tan Jian Ci. He acted his butt off and I ended up loving his character the most (who would have thought because I remember loving Jing so much when I watched the first part of this drama a year ago).
Bai Jing Ting and Zhang Wan Yi as support leads....welp, I don't see this drama ever coming to fruition. If this had been filmed when it had first announced, that would have been another story because the FL's were more popular than them but not anymore. BJT and ZWY have made big names for themselves.
I just started watching today (currently on episode 6) and it's so funny and entertaining. I don't get the critiques and I wish people would stop comparing it to Joy Of Life. Joy Of Life is not the originator of this kind of concept. Let both shows be their own identity and let's enjoy them separately.
The hype is actually justified with this one. 10/10 from start to finish. Not once did the quality deplete or become boring. The fast pace, the chemistry between the leads, and the smart FL really made this drama perfect.
This drama gives "don't judge a book by it's cover". The start wasn't the best and the drama is it a bit ridiculous but the characters are so loveable that you can't help but love it. The way the ML is so gentle and sweet to the FL and how effortlessly kind the FL is what makes the show worth watching.
I will say that I wasn't to into the second couple because their romance didn't seem organic; especially after the writer introduced that specific plotline (I hate that trope).
Shin Min Ah as Navier is perfect casting. I don't know what people are talking about in the comments. Lee Jong Suk as Heinery is quite perplexing though. Byeon Wooseok is better suited for the role.
Love triangle? Evil parents who try to ruin the leads relationship?
I wouldn't consider it a love triangle. The ML was never interested in the 2FL and the 2FL wasn't in love with him. The ML's father was technically the only evil parent. But rest assured his way of ruining their relationship is so minimal compared to other dramas and it never made a real dent in the main couples relationship if anything it made it stronger.
