Gong Hyo Jin is my favorite actress so I know this will be good and LMH is doing amazing in Pachinko so it's possible for him to play roles outside his norm.
Three things you should know before watching this drama: 1.) The 2ML and 2FL will annoy you to death. They don't stop pursuing the leads even when the leads make it clear they aren't interested. 2.) So many unnecessary scenes. You will have to skip to get through it. 3.) The couple will be separated for quite a while.
But if you like mature romances with no breakup, beautiful fashions, and a cute adorable second couple then I highly recommend this show.
The romance between the leads sucks. That's honestly the weakest part of this show. I don't' think their relationship was romantic. It's toxic and not believable. It's an 8.5 and that's because all the actors really did their part. I binged this show in two days so that speaks volumes.
I barely finished this show because it dragged on so much. This show could have been cut down in half if not for all the filler they piled in. Unnecessary second LI and scenes that could have been scrapped. The second couple was cute and I found myself wishing for more scenes between them because the lead's storyline became repetitive and boring after a while(although not the leads fault they had great chemistry) This show is a 7.5 and I think I'm being generous.
Ryan gold's mom leaving him at the park and getting in an accident and Duk-mi's mom having a child that died (that Duk-mi forgot about) has to be one of the stupidest storylines I have ever watched any kdrama. It made this show a solid 9 for me to a 7.5 (it would have been lower if the chemistry between the leads wasn't so great).
Why is every other couple but Johee and Lee Tae Hwan's character resolved? They get so little screentime and there are two episodes left but no significant progress in their relationship? I believe the writer had no faith in the character of Johee because this is sad at this point.
Dali (FL) is such a mary sue. She always has someone there to save her/help her and she makes the dumbest decisions ever (episode 8, in particular, pissed me off. ) Truth be told none of this would have bothered me (the greatest love is one of my favorites and she always needs help). It's just that Dali is incredibly self-righteous a lot of times. Thank god for Kim Min Jae's character because he's the only reason I"m going to continue to watch.
People kept saying he's typecast and he's proving he's far from that with this role (and the priest). The plot is ridiculous but I'm also really curious on how this show is going to turn out.
