the bromance we never expected was Chairman and Taeoh
Yeahhh!!! We speak same language!!! I skipped InHa and Hye Won parts and straight to the chairman and Taeoh scenes π I somehow wished it is a Makjang drama and they decide to make a twist that TaeOh was actually the chairman's son not InHa π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£
Have they explained yet what Tae Oh's original goal with all this was? I keep checking back because it's literally…
He wants to play a big game. Because he came from poverty and hunted by his abusive father. He craves power thus he tried to invest/ use Inha as stepping stone to that big game he wanted. But I guess even the writer forget about TaeOh original intention mentioned in episode 1. Because he/she lost in his/her own story π I can't believe Tae Oh was genuinely tried to make InHa the chairman and have no backup plan thus resulting him messed with only a simple betrayal from InHa. Such messed up story lol π
Thank you 'Impossible Heir', for making the impossible possible! I knew Jun when watching an idol survival program and enjoy his acting works so far, but you managed to make me loathe how narrow his facial expression actually is and how far from perfect his acting skills are currently. lol π I want to poke his eyes so badly throughout all his scenes in episodes 9-10.
Did you know what it feels like to excitedly watch a crappy drama just because they somehow managed to have a great cast and basically you have a piled-up anger and just want to rant about it? π I was laughing in disbelief when they said Taeoh died and was alive again within a few minutes.
Damn! Such a waste of talent! They conquered a lot of great actresses and actors there and forgot to invest more in writer and director creative brain cells.
Yet, at least one point I learned from this drama that Jun's acting is indeed inferior in comparison with Lee Jae Wook. I have been thinking that both of the actors were few in their generation that have a talent for acting. But when both are put in the same frame, immediately! Seen through! Well it's not like Jun has no potential, it's just he needs to work a bit harder.
For writer-nim, I might not write a big drama and obviously not make a living with writing either and just write fiction as a hobby and side quest in life. But even I won't write such an obvious brainless two-dimensional character like Kang InHa. It's not convincing! You make Kang InHa seem smart enough to fool TaeOh, but you also make him stupid enough to marry someone he didn't love out of jealousy instead of choosing some eligible bride with a money/power background to give him some strong foundation, then act all mighty committing a killing spree when it's unclear where his power coming from. How the heck did he manage to erase all the traces when all he had in his side was his childhood buddy/henchman??
I still watch it tho! For the sake of the chairman, his wife, Tae Oh, and anger inside me lol π
Such a disappointment Tae Oh! For someone that boast about his 0.1β brain something π and your bromance is never convincing to began with, so why did you act like you indeed devoted your life for In Ha. Even if you are indeed genuine, it's even more a disappointment for someone said have a brain
finally got a start -up haterπAfter watching Start Up, I hated that bastard ML so much that I didn't watch…
Korean drama nowadays 'comes with good premises, often great actors and actresses, massive potential, and rich cinematography, only to flop with some crappy writing' :'( I really need a good one to binge in summer!
Even when a good one appeared, I was getting bored by the stagnant, good-quality plot we had watched for so long. I need some adrenalin! A plot twist! And a revolutionary, breathtaking story!! :') Maybe I need to write one myself...
Lee Jae Wook acting is good as always, his character Han TaeOh also not bad. Kang HuiJu, KJM (the dad), the mom, even the jerk that arranged with HuiJu, the third son is intriguing character. Their acting is superb! When Lee Jun Young usually have decent acting, Kang InHa as characters itself is problematic. So why??? That supposed to be center of the conflict! The woman with most potential, played by an actress with no facial expressions??? #desperate
You know her character could easily be annoying but she made us fall for her instead π The actress managed to show very rich layered emotions behind her bubbly appearance π I love it! Her character by fate was luckiest compared to the three main characters, but she made us see the complete side of her character as viewers that were unseen by people in her life. She had it all! In a family where no one taught her to be compassionate towards her siblings(esp. Kang In Ha), she showed him kindness. She's a character that doesn't see status but the character and value in oneself as it is. And that's making us fall hard for her. Wonder why Tae Oh is not???
I will leave the rest of the review for later end. But this one plot was out of nowhere π€ I mean In Ha had already seen that Tae Oh had eyes on Hye Won during their lunch. Then on the next day for whatever reason he feels like wants to crush on Hye Won too. Although you can't control your heart and love, when your best friend has a crush on someone then you decide to just get the girl is messy! You don't need a friend like that in real life. Dear Mr In Ha, even if you can't control your passionate love that came abruptly for Hye Won at least talk about it with your best friend when you know he too has a crush on her π And In Ha, as a character needs a lot of scolding, but let's keep it for later π I Wish Tae Oh just got everything for himself. At this point why not you just make your own empire?
Some people clearly can't tell apart the difference between criticising some one and insulting themCriticism is…
I know sometimes people are just a bit too much. But not many of us can immediately constructed reasoning behind a feeling. Like myself for example, i often more driven by my hunch that I know I didn't like the way FML's character portrayed. Yet, it needs time for me to observe and analyses what's actually causing such feelings and perception. Although personally I wont down right write something on social media before finished the homework. Some of us are moved by heart instead of patiently waiting for the brain response and their words become somewhat 'rude'
Ngl I'm glad MinHwang died and not SuMin. I was cheering for her actually lol.
Me too! When she got out of the rope that bound her and came out from behind the curtain with a knife, I was laughing frantically. Never did I expect to find myself cheering for two villains fighting for their life lol
To a certain degree, I'm glad that So Min is a fighter. Unlike Ji Won in her past life, she kept the angst inside her. So Min was a bitch that value her life. Unfortunately for Mi Hwan, He finally met his match. That girl won't die just like that, which resulted in fate fall upon him! Hahahah serve him right!!!
Well, now it is time for So Min to pay for her sin.
I forget how the ending was for both Mi Hwan and So Min in the Webtoon because I read it quite a while ago. But I do like the ending here
The only thing this drama does not have is historical accuracy and that's the point! We couldn't make such a beautiful, heart-wrenching, and compelling drama by following every fact of historical events. Because there's nothing but surviving and agonizing more thickly reflected by war at that period of time. Which is why we make a fictional story and this is fiction! Love it!
I can't believe Tae Oh was genuinely tried to make InHa the chairman and have no backup plan thus resulting him messed with only a simple betrayal from InHa. Such messed up story lol π
