Good lord I watch them all already 😭 see?! This is my problem! i watched too much drama! 😥 Now nothing left to watch 🥺

The Fated General, I think they film it around 2016. The problem is that, the longer they postponed released this drama the more problem arise and more actor/actress playing in the drama involved in scandal and getting cancelled or 'erased'
It just that one unlucky drama who knows when would see the light of the day

You know Zhang Ruo Yun drama where he became a general and yet to release because the censorship problem? It's been almost a decade already (maybe not, but it's even longer than JoL). There's no hope that drama will release although the shooting was long done, they just didn't get the permit. Should I began hoarding money and turned my career recklessly to finance so that I can buy the drama right and enjoy it myself? 😆😆😆

Thank you, but I'm afraid my options are limited. After being dragged by my granny to watch that Chinese drama where a snake lady gives birth to a hundred snake babies at the end of 90s, along with Journey To The West classic, and accompanying my mom and aunt fan-girling Jerry Yan in his F4, Meteor shower, whatever 🤣
I had watched Chinese drama for more than 2 decades!
Either the drama is getting crappy or I just grow picky 😭😥

I hate to remind you the fact that it's half way to the ending 🤣 and we need to wait at least another 5 years for S3. Just pray that no World War or Chinese War broke before S3 released 😭

Kind of waste tho! S1 deserves some more time investment. So you could grasp the joy in life with each of its every episode. Afterall, discovering Joy of Life is one joy in life itself 😅

I think i need time to digest JoL in whole 😂

We often forget that 'Justice' is a product of modern civilisation. It was invented so that the weak could survive and ended up creating this long era of peace. Justice is human invention through thought and history.
If we talk by today's standards, no one deserves to die for speaking their mind. Whether it's outrageous or polite. But who we are to decide who deserves to die and to live?
Yet again, our society has a different concept of justice compared to their society.
In terms of the story, I am amazed by how deeply the writer thinks to create such an understanding of life and write it in a way even a fool like me could understand. I know I'm not smart, but I love the way they created a complicated story without leaving me behind feeling stupid 😅

I'm yet sure like it or not, but yeah, she makes YLer very different from S1. I am more convinced if you tell me she's YLer sister.

I've been watching many kinds of films and dramas from various countries ever since I could remember, but Joy Of Life unexpectedly became the greatest drama I have ever watched. And who would expect it to come from the messy Chinese dramaland. The land full of censorship and limitations where you need to dig deep enough to find one good drama.

I like how JoL full of politic and intrigue, but contains no direct propaganda in it. It's full of Chinese wisdom, history, culture and beliefs, but away from modern political agenda.

If you can't see the deep of the water just don't jump in. If you unsure with one cunningness but at least recognised the danger, then just be genuine and direct like Wan'er. Living your own life away from their business 😅

I mean the King gave him many chance, but LMC was the one pushed it till the end. At least both LMC and the King get what they want.

I mean what would you expect? He's the king of an absolute monarchy in feudalism dominated society. He must have full control over people, officials, and everything possible. The only reason we can understand FX is because we, the audience and FX share the same understanding of a free country and democracy, where people have voices and a thing we call 'Human Rights'. But the King and most people in JoL have different perspectives on understanding life. As a king, it's his responsibility to have control or else rebellion and chaos will follow. LMC is the best example of 'ahead of his time'. He's a good politician we want to have in this modern-day society, but at his time, he indeed failed to read the room, understanding their ruler, and just a poor principled stubborn man.

I mean that's her character all along, naively direct martial artist. Although the S2 actress make her looks more gullible compared to Ye Ling Er in S1
