Finally finished the whole 8-book series (excluding the so-called 'part 2'), god damn 2446 chapters, that took a WHILE. To those who are fans of Cai Huan......honestly, maybe watch the animation / donghua instead ngl. There is almost zero romance in the novel.


Context: I started reading after episode 30 and started at around chapter 360-ish.

Welp, there goes all the hype I had for season 2. Their chemistry was awesome, especially in EP12, my goodness that was great. Is it not possible for them to postpone S2? Like, we are absolutely NOT in a hurry.

(ngl live action ruined NGW for me permanently lol, I'm reading the novel and whenever HL thinks about how "hot" NGW is, trying to visualize that...I um...cannot visualize it at all)

To those who are not happy about the fact that Han Li and Miss Mo didn't become a couple in her first life, here's some really minor spoilers to give you a sense of how fast time passes for people like Han Li.


To form his first gold dan / core, bro literally went into a cave and in the blink of an eye, 60 years have passed. A relationship with a mortal is literally impossible.

Thankfully, Miss Mo returns as Zi Ling and she is still as beautiful and as jealous as ever. She's basically the main FL for S2 (if they follow the novel) and good news (or bad news for some...?), Nangong Wan is practically absent for the majority of the Sea of Chaotic Stars arc. (maybe she appears in like chapter 600, idk)


So stay tuned, relax, and wait for Zhao Qing / Cai Huan / Zi Ling to cook in season 2.

Technically speaking, no, but she reincarnated in (season 2) and became quite powerful + beautiful. Don't feel sad about Miss Mo, from what I've read (about 100 chapters just now, right after EP30), she'll pretty much be the main FL of season 2 lol. (go read the book, it's great)

FYI it's called 不问 by 何亮 and imo it's the best song in the entire OST. IIRC it doesn't get played again towards the end but I think it will be played...quite a lot, in season 2 (wink wink) (reading the book rn)

Depends on which version you're talking about lol. The CN version can be found on Qidian or in physical form, Idk about ENG ver. I'm currently reading the CN version for the OG sauce though. Pretty good so far.

Dang the book is actually pretty good! (although I skipped practically 360+ chapters, the settings are different anyway lol, starting straight from the Sea of Stars)
