I love Venice in the book, I like the idea of Pete raising him because he sees Vegas in him and feels the need to protect him because to him it feels as if he was able to save little Vegas. But Venice is a plot device meant to make you look away from the issues of the couple. Instead of making them face their own traumas and problems they throw in a baby which will distract the audience and VegasPete from the real problem in the relationship. As a result they don't have the chance to explore their issues and relationship more.
This is why it is a better idea if Venice is not in season 2. Also I feel sorry for him cause he ends up being neglected and abused, Daemi have no idea what they are doing. This is so sick, first they throw Venice to turn VegasPete more domestic and now they show us that Vegas neglects him.Not to mention the terrible represantation of Dominant/submissive relationships. They try to romanticize rape by making Pete a masochist, makes me sick to my stomach. Vegas raped Pete and Pete never enjoyed it, I don't think any masochist would enjoy to be assaulted.
