I am back after re-watching the new episode god knows how many times. I love VegasPete both in the novel and the series. Pete in the novel brings light into Vegas' dark world but in the series Pete is just as broken as Vegas. He is a reflection of him, the other side of the same coin. Their story is even more touching because it is about two broken people finding comfort in each other, but at the same time they can not help and hurt one another.
While they were lying on bed, Vegas was vulnerable and decided to share his thoughts as he usually does with Pete. Vegas seemed so lost in his feelings of his affection of Pete. He is happy that for once in his life he can be true to himself in front of the presence of another individual. He is happy someone showed him acceptance and trust.
''You just have to accept and be true to yourself'' ''Like you?''
Pete is good at giving advice but applying your own advice is another matter. Pete has not been true to himself unti Vegas came into his life. Vegas does not know what goes on in Pete's mind. He is not aware of Pete's mental state and how they are more similar than he thinks, until later when Pete broke down in front of him. When Vegas made the question '' like you?'', Pete seemed bothered. Pete has been hiding all his life behind his smiles, he is so lost in them that he does not know who is the real him. He has been smiling so much that he managed to fool everyone. He thought he fooled Vegas too into thinking he is a good person, but obviously Pete does not think like that about himself. Vegas called him a fool instead of a good person. He said it teasingly, but Pete was bothered by this word. It was at that moment that Pete decided to shut down his emotions completely once again. He thought he was a fool for letting out any of his desires. As a result, he started hitting himself when he was alone in the room, questioning why he gave in to Vegas when he did not like it. The truth is, he liked being with Vegas but he is afraid. He is afraid of the fact that Vegas challenges him to face his inner demons, the ones he hid so well beneath his smiles. He does not like how vulnerable he can be in front of Vegas. Pete's main priority was his duty as a bodyguard. He was so lost in his persona of the smiley bodyguard and Vegas came and found his broken self. Pete would rather stay hidden and keep up his exterior. He disconects from his surroundings and only thinks himself as a bodyguard.It was the only thing that might have made him feel any positive emotions. He is considered good at his job, but that persona of the boydyguard was forced to be stripped away by Vegas.
During his break down, for the first time we learn how he truly thinks. At first sight it might seem that he came to this state because of Vegas. It might seem that he was a happy person whose smile was taken away by Vegas. It might seem like that, but that is not the case. Pete was broken way before he met Vegas. Vegas just undressed his layers and left him naked in front of his owns demons. Pete's mind is filled with darkness. He is suffocated by his demons which is why he was trying his best to put up a front in order to keep his sanity.
'' I have no feelings, I do not exist, I am useless'' This might be the first time that he is truly honest about the way he thinks of himself. He has been disconnecting from the word, seperating his emotions from himself to the point that he no longer exists. Who is Pete? He too can not be sure, he spent a lot of time shutting down his feelings, masking his trauma behind smiles. He never allowed himself to have feelings, he nver allowed himself to give in to any desries. He has no feelings. He has not feelings. He is no part of his surroundings, he is no part of the world. He is just an observer. He does not exist. He is only a bodyguard, but he failed his mission by getting caught. He is useless.
Pete has been holding back his emotions for a lot of time, and putting up with everyone and everything while trying to maintain balance was not easy. Vegas' constant mood swings and confusing behaviour only added fuel to the fire and caused Pete to explode.
Vegas had no idea of this side of Pete until now. He finally found out how Pete feels and he could not help but relate to his pain. All of this was too familiar to him. He has hurt himself too. He thinks lowly of himself too.
Vegas was drawning in the feelings of his love to notice Pete's condition. In the first scene he kept looking at Pete and touching him in an affectionate manner, but Pete was trying to disconnect. He averted his gaze from Vegas only for Vegas to use his hand and turn Pete's head to his direction again. Vegas was more willing and ready to accept his feelings in contrast to Pete. But his bubble bursted the moment he faced his father, and when he found out about Pete'sinner thoughts.
Vegas and Pete are too smiliar to each other. They are two broken souls who find each other and fit together pefectly like a puzzle. They might hurt themselves and each other in the process of trying to come together , but they would never hurt each other intentionally. ''Kill me you jerk!'' ''Shoot me!'' I loved the parallels between them. I love how they both unitentionally hurt each other but ,when they are presented with the chance to break free from each other permanently they can not bring themselves to do so. They feel complete with each other and they both know it. They can only be their true selves when they are by each other's side.
I was about to write this. Like we know that Vegas would not do anything but Porsche could not have knows that.…
It is natural that he wants to learn about his parents, but that was not right of him. Pete is his friend who went literally through hell, but Porsche gave him away to Vegas. Like he saw his wounds in the bathtub! He could tell it was Vegas but he chose to bring them together? He should have been worried about Pete's state if he was truly a good friend

He never seemed to have a soft expression whenever Tawan or anyone else in that matter, touched him. He was being touchy with other people too, for example he kissd Tawan on the forehead and also his hands when he proposed to him but his face was blank and his body language stiff. It ws just done out of the need to control him, but when it comes to Pete there are emotions involved.

Exactly! He is very tactile. Even before he fell for Pete, but what is interesting is the kind of feelings his touches convey. There is clearly a difference in the way he used to touch Pete comparing to how he touches him now. At first his touches gave off a feeling of cockiness and control. He was using them to assert dominace and intimidate Pete. Now he touches Pete as if he is the most fragile thing in the world. His touches express tenderness and affection.

I think Porsche punched him about his plan that had to do wit Tawan, Not on Tawan's behalf. He was angry he used Tawan against him, Kinn and Chay. He was talking about the whole situation. At least this is how I percieved it.
