I get the feeling, one year ago I said that I am jealous of the people that would ge rto binge this series, but on the other hand I loved the experience of waiting every week for new episodes, talking and interacting with others in here made the experience even better.

Also Twin, yesterday I wrote my thoughts on ep 13 overall,, I don't know if you saw my comment cause I wanted to hear your opinion as well, I had some things to say about Kim 👀

Their dynamic since the start layed the foundation to lead to their angst and seperation or else they would never be 100% equal in their relationship. Vegas had started treating Pete better but he still had him chained and his constant mood swings made Pete feel more like a toy or a punching bag. I agree with you. Vegas had realized his feelings for Pete but he did not know how to love without unitentionally hurting Pete. Pete, on the other hand was not ready to his accept his feelings, which is why he was mad at himself for giving in to Vegas. Vegas' hurtful words was the last straw. He found his reason and courage to escape, but once he reunited with him he had no option but to accept the fact that he too needs Vegas.

I don't get why you get so defensive over the fact that some people are not ready to forgive him. It is only natural that there are this kind of responses. He is facing the consequences of his own actions.
His words carried a lot of weight,even after 8 years those words might haunt rape victims. His words encouraged sexual violence and misogyny, that is a fact he can not take back. He can not erase his past, but he can work on his present and his future. Which is why I don't support cancelling him. or having his career ruined.

Spreading misinformation and twisting words is definitely not right, unfortunately unternationa fans might lack context on certain things cause all we have to rely on is translations.

I think he should lie low for a while to reflect and fans need time to process the news. He can come back later and face his mistakes in the eye of the public as well.

Let's talk about the fact that Vegas made two plates of curry because he wanted to hope that Pete will come back to him. The way he broke down once he was informed that Pete returned to the main family showed how his hope faded and once again he was faced with his loneliness and has no one to blame but himself.
Pete was presented with a great chance to escape during his captivity, but he chose to comfort Vegas over his freedom. This time he chose to protect himself as he always did so far, by closing off his feelings and going back to his life.

Vegas deep down knew that there was no way Pete would return, but he wanted to have hope.Pete provided him with a different view on life, it was thanks to him that he found a bit of courage and stood up to his father, despite the result being the same as always. He had time to reflect on his actions and decided to apologize to Pete once again.
I am actually glad that Vegas went after him to say the words that Pete very much needed to hear. He apologized because he hurt him, not because he wanted to take him back. At first he apologized because he could not stand the thought of being apart from him. However, after their seperation he was able to realize the severity of his actions which led Pete to leave. Of course he wants Pete back, he knows Pete feels the same way as him too, but during their seperation he had the chance to comprehend why Pete made the choice he did. Thus , he apologized sincerely for his actions.

Vegas said some awful things to Pete after his confrontation with his father. Once again, he was weak in front of him,even the tone of his voice goes down, he feels so powerless , he tried standing up to him but the result was the same as always. His anger took over him as usually, and he tried to fill the void by self-projecting on Pete. He wanted to feel in control and powerful, he used Pete but those actions reflected how he feels towrds his father. He might have hurt Pete with his words but I don't think he was considering to hut him physically. He knows he can't do that anymore. He can not hurt Pete the way he did in the past. He even bothered to make him noodles, when he could have brought him that salad Pete does not like, or he could have left him starve.
He is weak against his father,because he does not have the power to fight him
but he is weak in front of Pete, because Pete is his salvation and he can not bring himself to actually intentionally hurt the one person who accepted him broken as he is.

He could not bring himself to hurt Pete, he is the only good thing in his life besides Macau, his anger took over and he said awful things, he wanted to feel in control by talking to Pete like that, cause once again he felt so weak in front of his father. He needed to prove to himself that he is not weak, but Pete is another kind of wekaness for him. He is his comfort, he can not harm him as he used to.

Honestly, I don't know how I will survive the wait for season 2.

Vegas and Pete have tendenices of self-harm which is sad to see. They will need time to heal , and together they might be able to do it but they need to work on themselves first seperately for the relationship to go smoothly.

I will see his change if he is vocal about his opinions on rape, women, misogyny etc.
The way he acts or expresses himself might show us if he has changed, but at the end of the day he is a stranger to us. It is a remider to all of us that we don't really know our idols anc which is why we should admire them for their work and not for their personas. Beucase that is all we see, persona created for the public.

Also BOC told him to delete his old posts last year but he did not, that should say something too if it is true, but different translations tend to differ and I don't want to spread misinformation.

I am not spreading any hate towards him but I am not ready to forgive him and I can not see him the way I used to.

I understand it is no possible to watch him the same way you did before, this is why we should seperate celebrities from their works. I think of Pete and Build as two different people and they are. You can still love Pete and not support Build. It is alright if you need time, maybe you can also take a break from the series and watch it again when you feel ready.

It was a surprise to everyone, and it is totally understandable that you feel this way. I can not view him the same way I did before and I don't think I will support his future works unless he proves he is a changed man.
It is totally valid to feel angry, his words back then were horrible and even encouraged sexual violence, and misogyny.Let's hope he has indeed changed.
