Askig for more dramas calling it out does not mean I want to forbid it just that I rather have more of it. I do not really see it as a guilty pleasure, like I really enjoyed Addicted not as a rom-com but as an interesting portrayal of a toxic relationship. Some rom coms will be pure fluff but have elemnts that just feel unnessesery and can easely pass by and be perseved as romantic for the untraind eye, theesee are not eather guilty pleasures in my mind but I am afraid that if that is all a person watches, and does not see it being called out there is a risk of getting the idea that that behaviour is acceptable like the drunk kisses in forever love.
Some dramas will have a sid eof assult that takes over the enjoyment if it gets too much like in professional singel which took away the fluff for me , also some may not see the behaviour as problematic and that is fine for them but I wnat to empower those who are or may be subjected to such behaviour in real life , telling them it is okay to say no and that it is not acceptable behaviour. obviously not you becouse you do understand both the difference between fiction and real life but if i look back at a younger version of myself i needed more people to tell me that, and feel it can not be told enough..
I do not really know where I am going with this, this is not really a solution oriented peace more a look that happens just so you know it is not okay in real life (sorry if I am repeating myself) I think some of these should probably come with some kind of warning tag I guess but will settele with making people aweare of the behaviour so they recognise it. I have no intention to impose a teaching responsabilaty on the writers eather, just wishing for more consent...
Did this make it clearer or more confusing?
I am a parant and (an educator by occupation) and am sorry to say that neather schools or parants have as big influance as many of us may wish to think, people of all ages and genders are influened by a whole range of outlets. On the brightside there is hope for those of us with not so great parants. I think that the more we talk about it the better, I am advocating for more conversations about it and do not in any way advocate for censership if you by any chance got the idea however I think this is a good place to lift these issues in a simple way and concretize it with the help of dramas.
