Things I like about this series: it flows so naturally. A lot of more hyped dramas don't flow well, this one does. Also, while the music isn't stellar, it's music not just a try at it.
Things I don't like about this series: WTF are those 20-min eps?? *sigh*

What's wrong with Kopiko, Subway, Kia, all kinds of brands of water, LOL, coloured cool drinks (didn't catch their name, they were all over My Demon though), oh and let's not forget Samsung??? (Everybody and their dog in the slums ALWAYS have the latest Samsung phone, LOL.) Oh and that looooong streak of BMW cars in QoT, right? That was so subtly done. /s

Thai BLs are also conspicuous about this, LOL, from Toyota to any brand of toothpaste or "fresh" drink you want - it's there in a in-drama commercial :D

Knowing the general story is helping a lot, the young prosecutor is a bit overacting IMHO, but MH is perfectly cast for the Japanese version. (The dark and dangerous stalker is more stalkerish in the kdrama version, LOL, but one can't have it all.)
As to the kids... TBH I still love little SooJin more, but little Hana is also sooooo cute!!
ETA LPT don't ever start a drama that you know you'll like at 4 AM on a sleepless night, because then it'll be 8 AM and you're 4 eps in and you STILL haven't slept for the day!

Some dramas get super-inflated ratings, now imagine what if people were forced to watch the worst dramas ever THEN evaluate those that are already overrated. Ratings would explode :D
Also, OMG, did Amasawa basically call Sakuraba a mama-san AND a good boy at the same time?!! I kept waiting for Sakuraba to slap his hand away, but no, I guess we'll have a good doggie... er, boy who cooks for Amasawa everyday LOL.

I haven't watched any of the dramas you've listed, (though I think I kind of watched - maybe - one episode of that cdrama, too - I have a vague impression the FL is in fact a substitute for the legitimate daughter and sent to the groom in her place, or something). I don't really go on with dramas low-rated UNLESS they weren't low-rated before I started (like The Impossible Heir, LOL). But I've learned to try a first ep and not go on, instead of trying hard and dropping them anyway, so there's that, too.
I've only completed very few of dramas I'd rate under 6, but they usually are better rated in the end that what I'm rating them... (Checking now, 6 dramas finished that I rated under 6, and including those rated 6, there are 12 in total, LOL, out of which half are Thai BLs...) I don't watch short-cdramas, I guess I'd be giving more under 6s a lot, LOL. I DID drop quite a few that are under 5, because I finally learned not to try to make it through if it's not for me.
Would I start a drama that has been low-rated, if it's finished airing? Not a short-format, anyway, and I would, if it's rated by few watchers (because I have no idea how MDL scoring goes, it's up for dramas that are pure trash IMHO and low for some I find really really good, but also my rating and the general ratings also overimpose for a lot of what I watch... so it's complicated.)
Would I finish it if I don't like it? No way. Life's short and then you die.

Are these men or children? I am used to Thai BL making the leads chilidish but this is way too much for me (I was already skipping the "novel" bits).
*sigh* I really wanted to like it, but it's not for me. Have fun!
