This is no way similar to AH. If you want to know what to expect, expect a better script - because the novel itself…
Errr.... Did you really never kiss for even 10 secs?! (In drama, IMHO they made it look longer for dramatic effect... but people do kiss for a lot longer than 10 seconds, LOL). And they're not in 4th grade either :D
RE people looking young but obviously adults. Let me tell you about this super-realistic highschool TV series called Beverly Hills 90210 ROFLMAO (I think none of the main cast were younger than 27 or so when it started :D)
hi.. in my opinion, they don't change ML haircut cause maybe it's just give KYD-usual characters' vibes in his…
1. She's caring for her mother by herself. It's not cheap. She needs the money AND she's worth promoting but the company won't because she's unwed. She's frustrated and found a loop in order to get what she wants and deserves.
2. She doesn't hate her sisters, she rightfully felt abandoned by her parents while growing because they kept taking in fosters and neglecting her. If you don't know how that feels just look up stories from blood siblings when the normal ones are neglected by parents in favour of siblings with health problems, or even families with too many fosters AND natural kids. It's not pretty as in Hallmark movies.
3. She's trying to quit, LOL, what with all the jellies he's been kind of hiding from her. Seriously, smoking is a red flag?! And she's under stress but not allowed a very common de-stressing tool either? hahaha~
Good points: DESPITE feeling neglected as a child, she STILL undertook all expenses and stress for caring for her mother with dementia. DESPITE being overpassed at work because she's unwed, she's not really bitter about it, she's just trying to find ways to go around the obstacles. DESPITE being a neglected child, she's close to her foster-sisters and tries to protect them from the pain and stress of caring for the ill mother.
Like, seriously, do you guys know any actual human beings or are you living in a black&white world only?!
He can follow orders really well when he's drunk, LOL.
If WWX had given an order, LWJ would've been gone so fast, WWX wouldn't have found him til 9PM (because sleep-time LOL). But not Sheng Wang, he's an obedient sulky drunk :D
If you like the drama, read the novel - Mu Su Li writes ALL her novels with this undertone of steady&slow and a hint of realism (even the xianxia ones, LOL). She has that knack. All the TLs I've read of hers are good, just look them up.
Just finished watching the first 2 episodes on Netflix and gurl I'm confused as he'll what's going on. When I…
This is no way similar to AH. If you want to know what to expect, expect a better script - because the novel itself is much better, expect slow burn, expect actual character development and real conflict, and expect a realistic plot instead of a fantasy one.
PS I've seen kids 13 years of age sporting a full (curly) beard, not Asian TBH, but still just a kid. Hormones are a thing.
I see nobody recomended Faith and for me is one of his best dramas, once you get used to the historical setting.…
I like Faith myself but TBH, City Hunter is better as a story/production/overall acting. For Faith I had to go look up the history around the events re-told, and I expected much more of the time-travel than it delivered. But it's a good looking drama, and the OST is memorable (CH's OST is still better LOL).
Boys Over Flowers would've been a good start but that if @OP wanted to check it out some 10 years back at least, LOL, Heirs is a complete waste of time... I couldn't stay with Legend of the Blue Sea and I'd rec' The King ONLY for Woo DoHwan and their bromance, but the actual main plot itself is kind of weak.
Okay so I m someone who is neutral about this kdrama situation thing I really want someone to explain me what…
I'll be one on the Colosseum's stairs: I WANT TO BE ENTERTAINED. I don't care if it's over the top, or impossible, or forbidden by physics, or whatever - if it's entertaining and interesting TO ME, then it's all good.
Of course, that will definitely be (probably) very different from what other people want. And that's okay. I like to challenge myself from time to time.
As for satisfaction - it's very easy to drop whatever is not what I want to watch and I advise everyone else to do the same. If it's not for you, skip it. Time's short and we grow older every day, don't waste your hours just to end up in frustration!
So if they're grooming themselves and not hairy, they're eunuchs according to you. And if they're hairy and don't waste much time on washing or other eunuch-like niceties like that, then they're ~real~ men.
This is absurd. I myself like men who keep themselves clean-shaven and as hairless as possible, thanks, and they probably expect the same of a woman who's looking for love. And I also like men who do grow beards, as long as they groom them well and don't keep bushes around their mouths and throats, and clean up after themselves and are not adverse to some perfume now and then, in the name of being "more male-like". I think the general rule of masculinity has more to do with inside than outside, but that doesn't mean the outside presentation is to be neglected. ESPECIALLY when they're looking for partners, dammit, nobody wants to take on a man-child and teach them basic manners and cleanliness.
Then again, it's anybody's business and not my own what they do to their own bodies. They can laser-remove all their body hair or keep it intact, or tattoo their eyebrows, or botox themselves to immobility, I don't care, as long as it's not my body and required of me for anything. SK just happens to like very well-groomed men (or youth) for their leading men roles, SO WHAT?!
RE: this particular drama: TBH, the ML is not my particular type and he's cute in an idol way, which I expected. Not handsome but beauty is in the eye of the beholder so that's that. But if you've watched even the first episode, he's being shown as very involved with his community, aiding the police, helping people surviving on gathering recycled paper, trying to help where he can help, even strays. So he IS shown to be a man DESPITE the fact he happens to be cute. Him being cute (again, to me he's not handsome, but he IS cute enough) has a part in the plot, as his contract-wife does particularly NOT want a pretty man for a contract-husband, actually.
PS Saying that men who take care of themselves and are pretty on the inside AND the outside is a liberal concept says a lot. FYI, that's not a liberal thing except for the US, and you guys are already way over the centre to the right line on anything society-wise, seen from the outside.
OF COURSE he takes off his glasses and gets a 10000% more handsome look, LOL. Ugly Betty strikes again!
And he's a cat lover too - selling his body and soul so that the cat can have a home for a week. I approve. Also I have cats and more roof they could get under than HaeYoung. And I don't even ask for marriage in return, LOL.
One thing I never expected though was to hearJohnny Weissmuller's Tarzan yell out of the blue, LOL.
ETA The Subway commercial was VERY muted, I almost missed it. That's how you do PPL, Subway, do this every time (so I can miss it every time, LOL).
Please reply me based on me not being able to watch cdrmas and even when i watched a few i dropped them because…
Based on what you watched and rated high, you're probably going to love this one. It has high drama, action, redemption, is pretty male-centric, there are no overly-screechy romances that have no actual logic as in the usual hetero wuxia/xianxia. there is bromance AND thinly veiled BL (this is based on a danmei novel, so they censored it but it still comes through).
It's been so freaking long since they announced it, I almost forgot about it.
I'll be the one to say it and I don't care if it pisses people off. For a drama to be benched for two or three years, it's going to be 1. no network wants to touch it for various reasons (actors being banned, which is not the case here, production values - but it's Studio Dragon, that shouldn't be it, or the plot/cast isn't worth the money the production team is asking for it. I'm not going to be the judge on that, but given how big the names they cast, maybe it's just the plot. Hopefully). Or 2. There's some litigation over it (someone already paid for some of it and then didn't wanted it any more and didn't release it for other buyers either or something.)
We'll have to wait and see. I hope it's not going to be a mindless romance but with a starry background. If you send someone to space, they should be doing something interesting there instead of just finding love among a whole female population of one.

Have a look and decide for yourself (subs on): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ldvydu34Is
When is JinYoung back from the army though? He only enlisted May '23, are they going to throw him into a drama the moment he's back? Poor guy...
I want the CEO to marry the novelist just so his mom could fangirl over her, LOL.
Other than that - Shin MinAh still has it :)
Nevermind me, I'm just second-hand reliving my youth :D
Today's theme - definitely Anti-Nostalgic https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GhSHpDYcY00
