Err... no. This is an actual time paradox. The tribulations are a trope in xianxia (drama or novels). Most xianxia feature tribulations and they are always messing with time and space. Time paradoxes aren't all that hard to understand, once you accept they ARE paradoxes.

As for the content, TBH, while they did cut off some scenes, I seriously doubt they cut the important ones. I don't really need to watch things from / with ChunTao or Ye General (the father, not YQY) or more idiotic behaviour from Sect Leader Cen and son, and the like. TBF, I prefer it slimmed down rather than ballooning with fillers.

There is only one timeline remaining. The first one (DG and TTJ merged and eventually destroyed the sects, before LSS went back in time) is gone once she goes through the Array. Once she saves TTJ before he becomes DG, there is no more first timeline.

The war of the gods happened way too far in the past to be affected by any changes. The only part that got re-done was the one starting with LSS arriving as YXW to stop TTJ from becoming DG. The egg was existing at the end of the gods' war because the mother phoenix died then.

But yeah, tribulations timelines are a bit more strange. The one that we did see in the drama did happen linearly from LSS's POV (when she took the Bone from TTJ). For her anyway, time moves right.

For the rest of us, it's more like 12 Monkeys LOL.

MY and SJ's timeline is the war of the gods with the Ancient Devil God, ten thousand years in the past.

TTJ and YXW happened 500 years in the past from the now of the current plot.

Leader Qu found the egg according to Di Mian's directions a few decades back from the current timeline. LSS in timeline 2 already went through a few tribulations and failed the lightning one, and that allowed timeline 1's LSS to come back in her place. LSS is the daughter of a phoenix goddess (and DM) and has the ability to cultivate into being a goddess. Nobody sent her, it's just part of her cultivation, since she's already immortal and has the divine dirtless body.

Ye XiWu / LSS was part of a mortal life as tribulation (she goes through tribulations to ascend as a goddess). Tribulations are thrown all over the place and time so they're not anchored to a linear timeline.

The prophecy sounded kind of like: It would be GREATLY appreciated if someone could find it in their heart to go back in time at any place and CHANGE this mess we're leaving you with, sorry, kthxbye!

Not really, but all prophecies are obligatory too inscrutable so they can only be interpreted as they should AFTER everything happens. If it doesn't happen, the prophecy is discarded anyway LOL.

So all prophecies really sound like wishful thinking all the time :D

Are you watching on kisskh? The clock above in MDL is at 2 days 15 hrs til next two eps on Sunday so maybe the other clock is wrong. I think there's no official change in the schedule.

ADG, DG1 and DG2 (if it happens) are the same spirit / using similar features for their bodies. He left the Devil Bone for the YiYue tribe, the thing probably did something to the child TTJ before he was born to make him look like TTJ. And instilled a need for dramatic moves, great eyeliners, amazing taste in fashion and all the rest of the DM fanfiction LOL.

I tried counting, too, LOL, but I don't know the exact methodology :D

Why shouldn't you empathise with him? Drama TTJ and novel TTJ need not be the same characters. That's why it's an adaptation. They changed a lot from the original material, but it needn't be worse - it's just different.

Di Mian - like SL Cen - has already "proven" he wants to destroy everything DG - related. (They don't know he's bio-dad, anyway). So him "almost dying" while trying to save DAD Master Qu and DAUGHTER LSS from DG-wannabe CJM makes sense to everybody. Why else would he be around to interfere unless CJM became a traitor and suddenly attacked?

I don't hold hope for NBY. He actually seemed to think TTJ wanted power when he was in the mortal realm. If that was all he understood about TTJ... He didn't understand much.

The instant she went back to the past, the history from her arrival point in time to the rest of the original timeline got deleted. She saved TTJ from dying on that lake, so nothing afterwards moved the same.

1. He didn't. His info comes from Di Mian, who "barely survived".
2. She also has the same info. Everybody does. And SL Qu presented DM as his friend and showed he trusted him so why wouldn't they?
3. NBY lost a lot of braincells through the years. And he might've had the wrong impression about TTJ from the very beginning. Or might be mind-altered or manipulated.
4. She can't help herself, LOL. Have you seen that man? He mighty fine.
5. No expectations... but the mood of doom and gloom is somewhat abated, IMHO. Something seems a bit different, like there still is a ray of hope that after the pain there will be some joy.
6. LSS still trusts him (for now). He only cares about her. And I think he's going to plan around being almost certain she wouldn't let him survive to be the DG reincarnated. I have this impression he's ready to make use of her to make sure he either survives as himself, or dies WITH DG if he loses control.

You're seeing Ming Ye as his life is being replayed through/by/for the ones who entered the dream. MY (and SJ and all the rest of them) needn't look as we see them. We're seeing the gods and the other charas in their times through the dream's lens.

The only ones looking the same that we can be certain did look like that are the Ancient Devil God and the minions. And Di Mian. That is because they really WERE part of those wars.

TTJ is looking like the ADG because he's a reincarnation tool / vessel - the ADG chose (or made) someone who'd look similar. His soul is also different, since ADG couldn't be destroyed but only sealed for a time.

There is NO reincarnation for gods, they're divine essence and disappear when they die. MY is completely gone so TTJ cannot be his future or anything.

According to Di Mian's fanfiction, he should be the original DG, because he made the deal with the YiYue tribe before being struck down by the gods.

Then again, DM himself doesn't know what's true and what isn't, probably.
