Also, I used to have such a buttons Nokia back in the day. Actually, I still have it. And it still works. Original SIM too LOL. They were built like rocks. (And before anyone asks, yes, it only has the snake game on it LOL).

PS I don't remember the 2000s house design style being so busy, though. Everybody and their mum have SUCH busy houses. I'm more of a minimalist, I began feeling a bit oppressed LOL. Two questions, though.

So, did anyone publicly assert that JinXuan was the one who destroyed Xiao ChuHe's inner energy the first time around? And why would Emperor MingDe FORGIVE him for that, if he didn't really want to hurt his son when he let him go?

And second, did Xiao Se really encounter Lei WuJie by coincidence? I get it, if it's fated, they'd meet anyway... but it was kind of the very best time they could have met. And Xiao Se always seemed to be waiting for something in that mountain inn, before WuJie came.

This was great!! I liked all the fights, and while I would've appreciated a bit more of WuXin in the later half, I am totally okay with how it all ended.

Tang Lian's last fight was the best, though, even better than the three-day challenge in TianQi City.

I didn't feel the romance in the latter part either, but I guess nobody's watching such a wuxia tale for the romance anyway. Though I have to admit Lei WuJie's embarassed stammerings whenever he opens mouth, inserts foot in the presence of RuoYi are cute, LOL.

Ding YongDai's presence as Emperor MingDe was SUCH a confusing perspective each and every time he was on screen, LOL. I mean, he's the emperor in Nirvana in Fire, I kept expecting JingYan or Mei ChangSu to come out-reason him LOL. And there he was from a Xiao-named dinasty, and also had imperial family members executed due to his own incompetence or fears! Seriously, is there no other older actor with the presence and experience to act as a failing old emperor, LOL?

I felt kind of sad that Xiao Se let up with the sass in the second half. He was the best when he was mocking everybody (and particularly WuJie) around, and some of them couldn't even tell, hahaha. I guess getting his original identity back meant he had to show some decorum. Sad, though. Sassy Xiao Se for the win! :D

Everybody in the younger cast was stupidly handsome (the men in particular), and I'm not ashamed to admit I liked them all and I might follow some of them in their careers because of it. That's not saying they don't have talent, but TBH, the ones I REALLY did notice were Li HongYi and Liu XueYi.

I might look up the novel, if it's translated, just to see the differences from the drama. (EDIT OMG the freakity freak, it's 460 chapters long and there's 8 extras!!! I sure hope the chapters are short. Am I in luck or not?... *sweating profusely*)

1. Wants to end his OWN suffering (and can't, unless everybody else dies too, or he'll just get revived each and every time). You could say he's a villain, but there are nuances.

2. That one is the one we know least about. I wouldn't call him a villain either. He could just be out for a romp when he's destryoing the sects, LOL.

I guess I don't have a "favourite" villain in this one. Best villain character, YBC obviously. But favourite... not so much.

38 IS too few eps. Let's have them add a few more. I hear they're allowed 50. Should we go with 50? I say we go with 50. :D

I guess they're never going to show us their kids in this drama :(

I feel like they're not fooling anyone by pretending they're not living together at this point, LOL. Definitely mom and dad already know it, no matter how much of an actor XCS thinks he is. "I haven't even gone home yet" yes you did you liar LOL.

I liked how they drew Fang in their inner circle. Let CHJ on the outside where his place is, do (because timeo Danaos et dona ferentes!)!

And did anyone else get a WWX vibe yet AGAIN when he was teaching that kid what trees to climb? I mean... who else did his falling off trees as a kid - and as an adult - and learned the consequences and then just did it better, LOL?

I'm running out of patience, and the drama is running out of time, I want to see MORE!! And faster!! And let QT and YQ's kid run around them in circles, and I want a happy wedding! :D

That would be THE BEST! But I thought he (DL) had a GF, at least that's what I remember from a way-back letter in previous eps.

The point is he DOESN'T forgive him. He tries to show him a way to mend his ways. That friendship is fractured enough that it's sending XCS looking for solace with army comrades.

And it's going to fracture further when he finds out what it did to QT and his sister.

Add to that YGH coming back and not even telling him, as if they're strangers who met in a train and talked a lot but then forgot each other. That's got to hurt way more.

Episode 1: that murderous glance. Still the very best.

Episode 39: arriving at the Devil Palace for the wedding. That music. That wedding march. And also for the dream in the pearl. I love that part.

Episode 32: LSS betraying herself. And then the fight over the Bone Refining Seal.

And honorary mentions: ep 23 (the dance), ep 4 (the nightmare), ep 16 (MY looking in the mirror)... and there are so many more. It's hard to choose.

And this, guys, is why we can't get nice things.

Ye Fang. Leave that bastard. He has no honour. Also, let's all hail Ye Fang, who is our Omniscient Reader POV, LOL. That girl should've been a psychic, or if not, at least a psychologist. She would've solved all the world's problem at a glance LOL.

Sweetest moment - "Learn how to be a good boytoy, PRACTICE" hahaha. Made me flash back to Kingsmen - manner maketh man :D

But everything else was heartache. I mean, idiot CHJ managed to ruin not just a lifetime friendship, he caused XCS to lose two friends at one fell swoop, and QT lose his livelihood. And for what?! I hope he gets CRUSHED INTO SMITHEREENS and eventually married to HHL. These two deserve each other. Let Ye Fang and YGH grow old divorced from them and at least keep their old friends.

As for HHL... she can't get ANYTHING right, can she? TBH I am not really all that sad. Though I am a bit sad for YGH... still, he has black marks against himself, he's not redeemed enough yet.

All praise Xiang Nan, but I still want XCS to forge his own way!

Only 8 eps left, where did the time go?!

Well, for danmei it's always touch and go. As a matter of fact, one danmei adaptation based on a Priest novel just recently released 8 out of a 30 run of eps and then was disappeared like they did with Addicted Heroin back in the day, LOL. Chinese censors get crazy from time to time.

As for Immortality (yes we're all clamouring to see LYX as CWN, he'll totally own it :D), I guess there's even less a chance now, since Tencent has it and can wait as long as they want with it, and TTEOTM striked big. The climate is a bit strange for any danmei right now, what with the politics in China and all. But then, there was a lot of money that went into that drama, I sure hope someone eventually finds a way to release it.

For more censors-acceptable dramas, if they're xianxia or wuxia, the time is spent on special effects and dubbing. TTEOTM set new record high standards on that level, too, LOL :D

But sadly, rules change all the time, according to whatever whimsy they feel like that day, so there's no telling what will happen next :(
