What drives me crazy is that they keep on using Latin or Greek expressions or words that they don't even know…
Did you ever listen to English (or American) people massacring Latin? All those hard consonants going soft, all those extra "o"s and "u"s. It makes someone with a language that's closer in pronounciation to how Latin sounded go really really CRAZY LOL. Can't speak for the Greek pronounciation, but the Latin... becomes maddening.

Adamas(u) sounds like it's pronounced the way the Japanese would (they tend to add the extra "u" to an English-originated word ending in a pronounced consonant.) I guess, given the Japanese occupation, maybe things remained in Korea that include certain pronunciation rules or something. My 2 cents on it, though, I'm not a linguist.

Dammit, I was just starting to like Mr. Baek a whole lot.
Other than the action side, the difference between the twins is harder to make out than in, say, Ji Sun'g personalities in KMHM. They're both smart, they both make instant decisions, they're both unlucky in their bromances, LOL.

I think Agent Kim (the cute HWS fan) is also in Team A. It wouldn't make sense otherwise. I also think Mrs. Kwon won't betray the chairman, but might prepare some revenge of her own. If she can. Her son's story COULD be all planned (as in, there are no such coincidences in real life, seriously, if she didn't think of it before... she was in hard denial), but it COULD also be coincidence. Because why not?

TBH... I am VERY much warming up to the psycho older brother chief of Team A. I can see where he's coming from, even if he's a major villain. They killed his brother, that's reason enough for him to go berserk.

As for Lee ChangWoo being in Team A... well, that isn't so much of a surprise. He survived those killers for so long, and he kept his mouth shut. If he were an ordinary thief he'd be either dead, or singing for his innocence. But I'm curious as to why would Mr. Lee (psycho killer chief of Team A LOL) go to that house, 22 years back, expressly so he would kill LCW. They had some beef going back WAY longer than the other people.

And LOL, they got the defibrilation wrong yet again :D (if there's a flatline, shocks will do nothing). But hey. It's a drama. As long as there's a reason for SSH waking up, that's okay. And the new psycho killer girl... yeesh. She's WAY too psycho for me.

He told her that because the trial of the three would-be killers of the professor was going to be something huge…
Based on how his plans keep getting turned against him, I'd say he definitely isn't BM at least, not now. He might become BM in the future. That manic laughter in the end of ep 6 sounded kind of like bluffing.

At this point in time, my money is on the future-reader boss of the room. He just has that vibe. And nobody would suspect him when seeing him with cards either.

In ep one maybe it was indirect but Chang ho told Miho on there anniversary that she was going to see him all…
He told her that because the trial of the three would-be killers of the professor was going to be something huge for him. They were politically linked, it was inevitable for it to become a media show. And it will still become so, probaby, given the trial is to be held soon. Just not with him as a lawyer.

I feel like I must be the only person who struggled to get into this. I got to about episode 13, but it just felt…
This isn't wuxia, it's xianxia (the difference is that in xianxia there will be elements of the supernatural - gods, immortals, living corpses and whatnot).

The first 2 eps are a throwback to the present, eps 3-33 are the original story, and then the rest of the series includes the solving of the causes for the original story's ending, and the climax. The first part of the flashback long original story deals with the school and sets ALL the clues and relationships into place. When they're solved in the later part, you might be surprised they TOLD you all about it, but it wasn't obvious so you might miss it (or not :D)

I was one of the people caught from the first seconds of the first episode... but the story changes and becomes much more deep and tragic (not that it was shallow before) around the 15th episode, IMHO.

So I would say give it another chance, but maybe start it all over, for consistency's sake, so that it all makes sense and you're not stopping all the time to wonder what they refer to, if it was something in those few first eps. Enjoy!

PS I see from your profile description characters that make sense are your preference. TU will give you all the complex, wonderfully human, flawed characters you'd even want, and not just the MCs. Just give it some attention and a chance to develop, it might amaze you :)

So, Cheon SangWoo really wants to take on TaeHo. I guess he's coming out as the true villain of this season, what…
Before Hee-Ju went missing and was then discovered dead, presumably a victim of the serial killer who liked to dress his victims in doctor's white coats, she was in hospital with her grandfather. The mafia butcher was already following her and stole a doctor's coat in that same hospital (caught on camera). So he might very well be the actual killer, even with no other reason than money, while someone (maybe CSW) paid him to basically execute her.

Her case mimicked the cases of the serial victims, though now that I think about it... where did the bus driver get all those coats? And were they all from the same hospitals, or from a batch sold in stores, or what?... But he (the serial killer) didn't acknowledge Hee-Ju among his victims, so she's very probably unrelated to him.

The link between the first (assault) victim and Hee-Ju is either Cheon SangWoo, OR TaeHo...

OK so I have never seen this before I know very little about it all I know is that everyone calls it a masterpiece…
To your first question - it's not gay, it's a censored adaptation of a danmei novel. That means, depending on how you want to see the actual story, that they ~could~ just be best friends (soulmates, with no romance involved), IF that's what you want to see in it. But it's obvious (like "you can't miss this if you have eyes to see") that they're NOT ~just~ best friends. There is no sexual content, though, so if you watched some Thai/Taiwanese BL, this is not like those. If (like most of the watchers) you fall for this story... there's the novel that it originated from, and there you'll have all the 18+ scenes you'd want (though even there, the danmei part is still not the MAIN part of the story). This is not a simple romance.

To your second question, yes, there's a HEA, and yes, they end up together. Telling you more would spoil it though, so not gonna say anything else. Be warned the drama starts with the announcement of one of the MLs' death LOL. (He doesn't stay dead, that's the thing, so don't worry.)

Edit: here's a fan-made trailer... just to show you how high-level it is. (subs on)

After a really, really slow start, when I could wait a few days before watching the eps of the week... this is now the airing drama that makes me anticipate each episode.

...Are we there yet?

So, Cheon SangWoo really wants to take on TaeHo. I guess he's coming out as the true villain of this season, what…
So... let's say she actually kept the notebook he asked her to hide (the timeline was a bit hard to follow there, I hope I didn't mistake her for someone else). Or let's say there were things in that notebook that shouldn't have become known, and did.

Or. They really did have an affair, and NaNa found out. TaeHo loves NaNa (with some strange qualifiers - as in, he loves her but he doesn't help her bring TJ down, even if he knows her purpose. He actively helps her father and brother... There's something fishy there). So maybe something was afoot - like Hee-Ju telling him she was pregnant, or intending to tell people, or whatever.

OR. It was actually NaNa who wanted her gone, and TaeHo... complied, which would be crazy, but then...

The way things look now, though, it was at least planned by CSW, because the mafia butcher stole the doctor's coat, and is probably good with knives. If someone was ~paid~ to do it, then the butcher probably did, which makes CSW the most probable mastermind.

But we're not even at the halfway point yet, and this case seems to be the liant between the eps, so there are probably going to be a lot more twists until the end.

LOL, OJH's fainting/sleeping when drinking made a comeback :DI like it - they really coordinated the rejection…
So, Cheon SangWoo really wants to take on TaeHo. I guess he's coming out as the true villain of this season, what with the keeping the daughter off the woman he abused, and being in such a close contact with the mafia butcher guy. Butcher might be the physical killer in Hee-Ju's case, with CSW in command. Or they might not. TaeHo is still a strong contender for the culprit.

This is getting more personal again, which reminds me of season 1. I like it, but I also want more everyday cases, too!!

Wow, I definitely didn't expect things to turn out like that!! The plot thickens...
Those guys in SIH - minus TaeSung - are scum, just as the killers they're after. I mean, shooting someone off because things happen in a hot encounter... okay. But kidnap, torture him for hours, make SSH basically murder him through that anesthetic... That's low. Very low.

I'm just waiting to see what his older brother, the psycho, will try to do in order to get at SSH. I bet he's going to throw out in the air all his business with HaeSong and the Kwons.

I definitely didn't expect a kind of mellow slow moving mystery to turn The Bourne Identity at a snap of fingers, LOL. That came from the left side :D But now things are moving on SSH's side, too.

I'm taking back what I said about Dongrim, he's not the snake in the grass, he can't bring himself to betray HWS, awww~ Let's give him a hug. Also, nobody in that mausoleum is sane, up to and including the wife. And oh, Mr. Kim is DEFINITELY a HUGE fan, he's fangirling so hard for HWS and not even undercover like TaeSung - or is he?... I'd love it if he were on the good guys' side, he's cute in his obsession :D

With "Good Detective 1" I loved side stories. I only watched two episode of the second series. Do you think it…
The initial case is still the one undecided, Hee-Ju's murder is probably not linked to the serial killings (and that one is about closed, give or take what the killer decides to do in order to get away). The side-stories in the first season get some sequels, so to speak (KDC's family is still around, Hee-Ju's grandfather seems to be important too, Eun-Hye is still not out and in the clear from her 'hood times and so on). And there's a lot of mystery related to the circle in which the killer of HJ is moving...

Have patience, things will develop :D

I am a little confused. Could you please tell me the difference between "police investigation" 🚨 and "prosecution…
The South Korean prosecutors are directly and closely involved in the conduct of any investigation. The Criminal Procedure Act (article 195 and 196) provides them with the legal authority to conduct investigations themselves and to direct investigation agencies. Furthermore, they have ample resources to carry out an investigation on their own initiative. (says so here: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S1756061618301782)

From other dramas, I gathered the police usually tends to investigate petty crimes and even get involved in more complicated crimes, but (presumably, take it with a lot of grains of salt, LOL), white-collar crimes or investigations involving more sensitive and politically-linked cases usually go directly to the prosecution (think the former president of SK who went to prison, or the related case of the Samsung CEO&heir who did almost 7 months in prison for fraud and bribery and was just released a few days ago). The police can and does support the prosecution via gathering evidence and maybe give statements, but the prosecutors are above in hierarchy and can decide how a case goes to trial and how it's followed up, if need be.

It was explained. Mrs. Kwon's family served the boss' family for generations. Back in the day lower classes didn't…
I remember that - I thought, though, that there was something about clans. I mean, they used to have (and keep records) of who was from this or that clan. And I imagine they'd be pretty careful of whom the clan name came to.

But then, it's going to come up again some time, I think (because Mrs Kwon lost a child - who was the child, who was their father, how did it happen? Maybe it has some relation to MinJo's "accident"...

After ep 4 - well, I'm invested now. I thought it moved too slow, but the pace is just right. It's not the roller-coaster that TDJ was, but there's some substance. And I LOVE the hate/love WooSin has with Mrs Kwon, LOL, she's absolutely bonkers. But they both seem to enjoy those scenes, it's like they're old friends. I'm living for their interactions :D

BTW, why is her name Kwon too? Is it the same name as the HaeSong boss, or just a coincidence?
