Lots and lots of new faces, and some of them might or might not have had any relationship to his first life. Also, KHW still has the best chemistry with HanMi and nobody can convince me otherwise.
Did lan Zhan ever tell WW how he realized it was him in Mo Xuanyu body?
He knew as soon as he heard him play the WuJi (in-drama) / WangXian (in-novel) theme. LWJ is the author of the song, and he only played it once for WWX in that cave when WWX was drifting off after they defeated the Slaughter Tortoise. So there was nobody else who could possibly know the tune :D
And it was also later established that WWX is really, really good at remembering tunes he only heard once - particularly with the Song of Acquiescence that Meng Yao changes to kill MingJue slowly.
So yeah, LWJ had no doubt.
Plus, NOBODY else dares call him Lan Zhan all the time LOL.
As for them talking about it - there was no need. WWX is smart. and after asking about it for a while, he did realize how come LWJ recognized him. It's both in the novel and in the drama, basically the same, with the extra that in the novel LWJ also tells him the name of the tune, exasperated by the crazy names WWX would give it, and then WWX - as usual - has a huge bout of giggles over it.
is that proven? while watching the drama i literally thought why did they cast this man as a villain while he…
He had sex in three separate occasions with a girl aged 17. There was a court trial and a sentence so yes, it's proven. He was found guilty for prostitution of a minor in two instances out of the three (he promised the girl he'd get her a role in a movie) and there was a slap-on-the-wrist kind of punishment (no jail time, some suspended time and community work).
Also, it happened in 2002 and he was basically banned from Hallyu for about ten years. I have no idea how he got back into the industry, maybe he was cheap enough (and he gets plenty of awards.) That doesn't mean he's a predator or "groomer", but yes, he's scum. I read his wiki page before AML when people got into their vapors about it, and there was a lot more info than what's there now, I guess somebody curated that page to make it less creepy.
That being said, the only thing making him stand out is that he's back in big name productions while some others got the boot forever. Hallyu usually doesn't get too permissive of out-of-norm behaviour (just look at the mess past bullying or even unproven accusations of bullying are making out of newbies' careers.)
For me, it's not a hill I would die on, but it did leave a bad aftertaste seeing the character he's playing - CTS - speak about the right of women not to be abused and about punishing sex offenders... The producers seem to be at least a bit tone-deaf on that. Or maybe he really is that cheap to hire. The rest of the cast didn't have a choice of acting alongside him or not, unless they're in the production team, which they most probably are not.
Was there bitcoin in 2008? Also, was there bitcoin in South Korea in 2008?It's been so long for me, LOL. Like…
Just checked myself, LOL, it was the year that anonymous person using a Japanese invented name (Satoshi something IIRC) actually introduced bitcoin, but I think it didn't take off so fast.
Yeah, I think it's 2008, the year he starts law school (there's a banner when they take the test before choosing a college, and I don't quite remember but I think there are banners at the first meeting of the first-year students). I don't know how long law school takes in SK, I guess it's the usual 4-5 years (and also not certain how you get to become a prosecutor there, my previous drama experience told me people become prosecutors just to create a network and some fame for themselves and then move on to become lawyers at big firms LOL.)
People who read the manhwa said he makes his fortune in real estate, and that makes sense... But it'll still take a while until he's all ready to launch full revenge mode :D
Why isn't he investing in bitcoin? And why don't we see him missing anything from the future like a smartphone,…
Was there bitcoin in 2008? Also, was there bitcoin in South Korea in 2008?
It's been so long for me, LOL. Like in another life. All I can remember is the economic recession and the austerity measures that made everybody even poorer. I wouldn't want to go back to that...
Does this have a happy ending? Or as happy as it could get lol. I’ve been wanting to watch this bc of Lee Joon…
Yes it's a happy ending or at least, as good as it gets.
DHS is not a bad guy either. LJG and MCW's chemistry together makes it worth it, and then there's the plot and the music and the support cast and the scary villain.
What is wrong with me??? I already watched the untamed last year but still can't move on.....is there any other…
As good as, IMHO, no. But there are others who might help you move on a bit.
BL wuxia/xianxia (censored but implicit enough): The Sleuth of Ming Dynasty, Word of Honor, Guardian.
Time Loop (not BL): Reset
Wuxia/Xianxia (no BL involved): Ever Night (season 1), The Wolf, Ashes of Love, Love and Redemption, The Romance of Tiger and Rose (this one's more rom-com wuxia LOL), Joy of Life (of the more serious kind). There might be more, but I haven't watched enough to tell you more about them).
Contemporary: You Are My Hero, Love is Sweet
This is keeping it to Chinese dramas. There are quite a few kdrama too :D
OR.
You know there's the novel itself (Grand Master of Demonic Cultivation), and if you've read it, MXTX's other novels are also great (my favourite after GMDC is The Villain's Self-Saving System). And the donghua (three awesome seasons.) And the CHIBI donghua (worth it. I regret nothing LOL). AND the audio drama. (Basically no censorship. None).
You know a series is good when you finish this week's episodes and realize you now have to WAIT until next week,…
So now the chairman who wanted to steal the software is dead, CTS is in the clear. But will the inventor still get swindled off his rights? I have this hope HeeAh's dad wouldn't do it, but he's an old fox in the business, such things wouldn't be much of an ethics problem for him. And I don't like how CTS said that meant the app is still in his power through HA's dad company. I guess he set it up for being bankrupt or easily transferred via that billion-dollar-debt thing... but one can still hope.
It's rather clear now that Min Soo knows about the future... Did anyone send him back too, in order to help Hee Woo or deal with CTS in his own way?
Does Mrs. Han (ex Bad-Shinigami-no-cookie-girl-in-red) know anything about it, or is she trying to fight back against CTS from the inside? I guess she dies in the end - or no Death God - but her in this timeline looks pretty worn and stressed, she might take the fall for whatever Hee Woo and company do to CTS at some point...
So much to see in the future eps, and the PASTAndfuture sweatshirt appeared again LOL.
First things first, WHAT is the OST theme that sounds so epic and it's already been played a lot of times with different versions? It sounds SO familiar but I can't place it, I hope they release some of the BGM OST themes already. Some of the songs are out, that I know, but not the one I want to listen in more detail.
Second, he's wearing a sweatshirt that says PASTANDFUTURE and I read it PASTAndfuture LOL. I guess I was hungry for a bit there. But I can't stop thinking about the brain reading whatever it wants LOL.
Third thing, the story finally settled into something extremely enjoyable, and if it indeed returned to the ways of the manhwa, all the better :D I like this groove they've got in ep3, and the makeup isn't even so extremely noticeable any more. I hope they keep it that way.
Did we see Koo Ryun with Joong Gil at the beginning of episode 5? And then they were together again midway through…
He definitely looks like the kid who was marrying her younger persona back in Joseon days.
But her red strings are torn, which according to the drama means either her or him killed themselves. As he's a Reaper and she ended up in Hell originally, it was probably her. And her - and Ryung Goo too actually - each seem to have a promise from The Empress. She - Mrs. Koo - might be looking for her soulmate.
Wait until you find out who is his mastermind opponent LOL. Don't read any spoilers if you can, so that the surprise…
If you'd like to learn more about the Nie Clan of Qinghe and about the relationship between HuaiSang and MingJue, you could watch "Fatal Journey". It shows you some interesting interactions between the brothers - and emphasizes that NHS is actually, rather bright unlike his later public persona, and also lets you know precisely why and when and how NHS realized what Meng Yao was actually doing.
NHS is not actually a villain - he knows he can't afford to practice the sword of his clan unless he wants to die in madness like all the profficient cultivators of Nie Clan, but he also aches for revenge... He can't do it by his own physical power, but he knows who CAN do it - WWX. So he starts planning, years upon years, before it all begins in The Untamed.
The novel shows him as really not interested in powerplays, except in the problem with Meng Yao. But he is cruel in many ways during his revenge - saving the prostitute and keeping her prisoner for years, helping Mo XuangYu escape from the Jin Clan (with the resurrection book, knowing perfectly well what it'll be used for), freeing the sword spirit to do its work among people, and especially tricking Lan XiChen into stabbing Meng Yao... but it's all warranted, in his mind... it does take out the master trickster, but for HuaiSang, it's all because of MingJue.
I love his character, no matter what. They are all flawed in some ways (in the book it becomes more clear that most of them have some gray shades), but he's the only one who can face Meng Yao at his own level and win.
That's called being a good actor. He also acted (as support character or SML) in other dramas, before and after…
Yeah, Tang San was good, but Ji Chong had that rogueish smile and the long legs LOL.
If it's one thing I hate about the costume dramas is that usually it involves people in those long nice robes, and much less people with form-fitting clothes LOL. So a good-looking rogue always is a bonus :D

The ED song for the last two eps at least wasn't released yet, right? It's not "Bring It On" and sounds so much more savage, can't wait for it.

Fighting, AML!

And her - and Ryung Goo too actually - each seem to have a promise from The Empress. She - Mrs. Koo - might be looking for her soulmate.
Or it might be someone completely different.
NHS is not actually a villain - he knows he can't afford to practice the sword of his clan unless he wants to die in madness like all the profficient cultivators of Nie Clan, but he also aches for revenge...
