Title Again My Life Spoiler
His mind is sent back in his younger self, 10 years before? So he is back in the time with the experience and…
Usually in a reborn/transmigration/isekai story, there are some rules the MC can't ignore, of they'll be swept back to the original version of their life and die/disappear/something bad will happen to them anyway.

I haven't read this particular manhwa, but I'm pretty addicted to the reborn/transmigration type of stories, and I really really hate not having a cheeky System in this drama, too :D (If you're okay with BL, you can check out the donghua of Scum Villain's Self-Saving System, LOL, that's the perfect example of how this genre works.)

So yeah, it's cheating, but it's within the "rules" of the genre.

It got really interesting in the second half of the episode, when LJG had a chance to show some emotions again. Though TBH, LKY spouting those lines about caring for gender issues and not forgiving sexual harassment/assault (in his CTS persona) did leave a sour aftertaste.

Also, I don't want to see KHW falling slowly into the sky like Miles in Into the Spiderverse, LOL. Somehow the action sequences of the intro fell flat for me.

I don't want to see a time paradox /seminal incident (because I like Park Min Chul, I want him to play the dad role for longer!), can someone who read the manhwa spoil me on this, please? Is the accident preventable at all?

Highlights:

KHW as a bad-ass prosecutor: Facing up with a prosecutor with a weapon for more than three minutes is participating in organized crime. Resisting arrest in such cases means a fine of up to 50k dollars. **smirk** I just made that up.

LOL!

Bad-Shinigami-no-cookie-girl-in-red: Make him suffer!!
Reborn KHW: I want to learn maths. Teach me the ways of maths!

(Watchers: She meant CTS, not YOURSELF!)

(Also, maths teacher): How long has it been since you last learned maths?
Reborn KHW: Some ten years, I think.
Myself, trying to do some quick calculations in my head: Dammit... it feels like it's been a lot longer than ten years LOL.

It might become interesting, but so far it's nowhere near the adrenaline rush FoE gave me. I hope it does get at least up to that level. Let's go, AML!!

You will like Chen Bao Jin (Chen Fei Yu). He's like going into an adventure, and dark one though. Yes, he's still…
What did you do now, you put that imagine of Bilbo running from Bag's End in his hairy feet, yelling "I'm going on an ad-ven-TURE!" in my head :D

Thanks for the spoiler, oh well, I'm a sadist at times, and that first gif is... interesting. So I might binge this sometime soon :D

Thanks for the rec!

This looks a bit like Hunter/Wolf Hunter (2021), which I liked a lot (in terms of being rather gritty, not as a plot. Though I highly encourage people who like gritty/frontier's people/morally gray characters to take a look at Hunter, it's worth it.)

But spoil me on this, please (because I hate to get involved and watch characters I like, die): does the MC survive? I like Chen Fei Yu (and he was good in Ever Night), is his character just a tiny bit likable, so that one can root for them with no restraint? :D

Unfortunately, I could not watch the last episode. I'm still grieving the loss of my dad. It's a process.
It's never going to get easier, but it'll be less present, over time. Not that it'll happen very soon. Hang in there, it does eventually get better, though they're always going to be missing.

Just remember the good memories and don't shy from mentioning them whenever you think of them. Keep them with you and they'll never go away completely.

Be well!

I feel empty now after finishing this drama :"")The story, acting, chemistry, and everything are perfect!Lin Zhi…
Yeah, I'll remember that line LOL. It works perfectly in any and all circumstances. I'm just going to have to work on delivering it with that extreme seriousness of Dr. Gu's LOL.

LOL, Pepsi China branch doesn't waste time :D

What is it with the bamboo shoots on the label though, is it a special flavour or just a marketing trick? I'd try some bamboo Pepsi myself, though I bet it's regional :(

Can you recommend chinese dramas that is nice to watch just like this one please?
Love is Sweet - Luo YunXi and Bai Lu. It's not as lovey-dovey as OoL but it is dopey-lovey LOL. Also lots of clichees, but who cares, they work, and Bai Lu is beautiful as always while Luo YunXi's smile is to die for. (Yes I like him a lot. Does it show? :D)

The Romance of Tiger and Rose - it's also not too lovey-dovey but more cutesy-flirty LOL, watch it for the fruit theatre (yes there's one, and it's crazy LOL). It's a costume drama, and more female-centric, but worth the watch (and the laughs).

If you're okay with (very much hinted but nowhere explicit) BL, you could also try The Sleuth of Ming Dynasty. That one's also a hoot - you get a drop-dead-cute gluttonous MC, a stern soldier MC (who is the best cook, and yes, cooking scenes are included, yum!) who can't resist the cute glutton either LOL, and the most mischievous and lovable third wheel who basically steals the show whenever the mood hits him. I loved that drama :D (and yes it's romantic. But as I said, not explicit, not even as much as The Untamed).

One that is less liked on MDL is A Girl Like Me, another costume drama where the ML is basically slowly falling for the FL, which is a bit of a hothead. Still, they're good together and the romance and mutual understanding is good.

I love how Qiu Qiu the first Gulin shipper was the flower boy at Gulin's wedding.
I didn't catch that (though I found both the little boy and the little girl adorable)!! Is the little boy QiuQiu? Awww ~~

I admit defeat. It's raining outside (an early spring thunderstorm at night), and I have spent the past three hours playing Life is as Warm as Light ( 生命温暖如光) on repeat. I love this theme.

(Also for some reason I didn't realize before that TOoL composer, Luo Kun, also wrote the OST for Guardian. Well, now I've learned and told you, too.)

Title The Oath of Love Spoiler
Oh no... it's done. I am happy and sad at the same time. And also, most pleased. The ending didn't disappoint.
They both were honest to their respective wives - Gu Wei told ZhiXiao, Lao Lin told his wife. They just didn't acknowledge it out loud so it didn't spoil the festive mood. I was so happy when I realized it won't be a secret even if remaining untold - yes, they can learn from past mistakes! That gives me hope.

The eps felt like a long good bye to Lao Lin, but at the same time, marked LZX's transformation from a girl to a woman. These last two eps were her and her father's, just fit for a pre-wedding atmosphere.

(Side note: I have no intention of getting married, but I really really want to take a walk through that wedding emporium. It felt so grand, I loved it. I'll only window-shop a little, promise!)

Side couples somewhat re-started their respective relationships, hopefully more careful of the other's feelings this time around. Gu Xiao being cute and trying to help the bride out with a peek-see at the groom's vows made up a little for his leaving SanSan with no explanation and disappearing altogether. Oh well, he's going to come back to her, so good luck.

Those little flower boy and flower girl in the wedding procession were ADORABLE! Especially the little girl. She was ON A MISSION and nothing would deter her :D

The seven years time skip served a purpose, but I'd have wanted to see some more immediate marital bliss. (But the baby boy is so cute, too :D) Just saying, but a whole new lot of BTS with - maybe - NGs of kissing moments wouldn't hurt right about now, LOL.

Overall, a very romantic rom-com, and one that didn't shy from actual skinship, go go go Dr Gu and ZhiXiao!

I'm wishing both the main actors much good luck in their next projects, together or apart, and I'll come back to watch them :) Jiayou!

PS I still think the original vows the bride wrote would have been just... PERFECT! :D

Yup, beautiful song and a beautiful voice.

And definitely some sponsored outfit choices for the both of them in OoL :D

Episode 27 DVD. ... I'll just go buy a Pepsi, shall I? Anyone else wants some?
"With this (Pepsi can pull-up) ring, I thee wed."

LOL. They're both crazy. But his speech did the trick - it seemed so stream of consciousness, but it always came back to how she was his family and she was all he ever wanted. Let's hope the romance stays strong, I don't even care they're fictional.

I have this feeling he and Lao Lin had a VERY IMPORTANT talk and that they're both keeping secrets from the women in their family. I hope it doesn't blow up in their respective faces, because if it turns out Lao Lin's cancer screen isn't clear, and they both kept it a secret from Mrs. Li and ZhiXiao, then Gu Wei learned nothing from his experience, AND Mr. Lin also shows the same type of behaviour that sank the ship for two eps. I hope it's going to be a false alarm and that Lao Lin doesn't get cold feet if he learns about it before the wedding day. I can just imagine him going - "oof, so it's not going to be cancer? Then let's wait two... make that three more years before we hold the wedding! My baby daughter needs to learn how to pour tea!"

Aww, "wife" and "husband" :) And another sugar overload of kisses. I can't do anything about it, I'll just survive LOL.

Gu Xiao really went down a black hole, didn't he, LOL? Is it going to be a happy ending only for our MCs? Oh well then. As long as ZhiXiao doesn't run from her wedding to help SanSan if Gu Xiao makes a comeback that day, nothing's going to go wrong :D

Good going, Gao Xi! It's okay to feel nostalgic for what-may-have-beens, but she's aware they really don't have much to speak about outside work. It's good to learn yourself better. Ask Dr Yan to be your partner at the wedding party :D

PS Dear Abby, it's been windy around here, my lips are cracked and painful from it. I think I need some balm too. I just saw someone learning how to use it, should I ask them for help applying some? :D

I was just thinking how come no one commented yet on his outfits. He looks so good in every outfit, especially…
If you watch the official MV for Remaining Years (the ED song for Joy of Life) that he sings, he appears in a two-colour long coat pretty similar with the odd colour coats he's wearing in OoL. I guess at the time some couture house was dressing him up and he maybe was supposed to wear their apparel in his dramas LOL. So I guess some of us just assumed his costumes were provided by the sponsor and went with that.

I like him better in cosy clothes (and he looks a bit younger and less sophisticated, so Gu Wei and ZhiXiao match better :D)

Just in case though - some of her outfits also look a bit more mature than one would expect from a 20-something college girl, I guess YZ also has to wear some sponsored outfits more suited to her own persona, but those are contracts, what can they do?

There's plenty of PPL in it LOL, the most obvious the Pepsi one, but also the brand of water that Lin YunRui drinks, LOL, and I think many others that I've missed because I'm not familiar with Chinese products. (I got used to Thai and Korean PPL, but cdramas don't shy from it either :D)

26 DVD. I didn't watch it yet, but I spoiled myself to the immediately following TV ver. ep, because I couldn't handle the wait (got really really frustrated with what went down in 25.)

So power through, it's going to be okay.

I actually ffw a lot of the crazy train couple but did he invest money into something then lose it? Lol. P.S.…
Gu Xiao's dad found out about the private loan and he tried to give back the 2 million (I didn't expect he got that much, wow, it must be expensive to open a cafe in China, LOL), mortgaged the cafe, invested the money and lost it all. So he had to go back in tears to his father and offered to get involved in the family business and never stray as long as SanSan is offered a new job.

Then his dad took him out of the country and he went incommunicado with SanSan. His parents don't really know about her, they only know she's the manager of the cafe. His dad isn't consciously trying to create drama, it's all on Gu Xiao's part for being a coward and not daring to tell her he lost the cafe.

So she's supposedly more obsessed with locating him because he fell off the Earth, and not scouring the net to feed LZX with info on the disaster hitting Gu Wei.

What can you do? It's only SanSan who goes to weibo and checking personal pages now, dontcha know LOL.

Nah (unless he really is THAT one Chris LOL. He - and Gao Xi - are the perfectionist docs, the ones making decisions based on what would give the best rate of success / long term survival, despite quality of life for the survivor (like when Dr Yan proposed removing Lao Lin's whole stomach because it would mean the cancer having a very small chance of returning OMG.)

And there were a few more instances where it was settled that Dr Yan doesn't like Gu Wei's closeness with patients (something Gao Xi also doesn't understand).

But Dr Yan became hugely human when he took off the gloves and told it straight to the patient's family that they were unreasonable. I cheered for him! He's not that bad a guy after all.
