Can someone explain the thing with the yellow ribbons. I am still on ep 3 and I didn’t pay attention to it so…
Poachers and tresspassers use those ribbons to mark a trail for future hikes/ for their buddies to follow, so they don't get lost. The killer caught on that and is using them to mark fake trails that lead people to their deaths or bring them closer to where the killer's waiting.
Some ranger can be seen either gathering them up (so destroying the hidden trails)... or tying them up (so that they're probably the killer or his accomplice). It's yet unclear (ep 8) which ranger that is.
I keep yelling at a screen, YK, get inside the freaking park so he can talk to you!!!... That's how I know this…
If Da-won is still alive, she'll either have amnesia or be in a coma... But I hope the killer at least tricked her with a poisonous drink so she could have a fighting chance if found on time, instead of pushing her off a cliff.
The killer looked to be too tall to be Dae-Jin, but the rookie is kind of short... maybe it's just the perspective.
Dammit, now there are spiritless days?! Whyfor all the new rules? Let the spirit of Hyun-jo move freely! Let the sun go down so he could get up and go save the rookie!
At least don't blame it on him for whatever happens to her...

I was ready to swear Zhou Shen is a woman, based only on his voice. He reminds me of Yoshikazu Mera - if I didn't know, I'd also have sworn he's a woman.
Xueran Chen's song from Guardian is always epic. I don't really listen to much of the rest of his songs, but that one's fixed on my feel good list. (And I couldn't even go too deep in the series, either, but the song stayed with me.)

He's stuck on the mountain... They should bring his body back to Jirisan, I don't think he'll survive otherwise, since the spirit can't move further than the end of that bridge. It was so sad, seeing him try to communicate with the living... Bring KHJ back!! (Let's start a petition :D)
I love how receptive the rookie is to the idea of supernatural acts on Jirisan - Yi Kang had a chance to see Hyun-jo's power in action, so she's convinced, but the rookie only saw the ghost/spirit so far. And the rock formations, maybe. Women power for the supernatural!!
I'm now stuck too, with the main killer's identity. If the person buying yoghurts in the same store where YK and HJ are eating is supposed to be the killer, they'd obviously recognize him if he was their team mate. But the killer also has access to their things in the refuges and stations, so he HAS to be a ranger too... (Unless there will be a retcon later, when we'll be shown that Yi Kang actually saw that person in the store but didn't make a connection to the poisoned yoghurts. )
Also, it has to be someone who isn't directly involved in the fire-containment at this moment, as he had time to follow HJ and lock him in the building...
I seriously don't like the implication that whenever HJ tells the outside world that someone's going to be killed on the mountain, the effort to influence the physical world is making him grow weaker... NO!! STOP IT!! He needs to survive!! (please!)
That skeleton is definitely Se-wook's. It's been a while since he was killed, he would be at least partially skeletonized. But if the fire reaches that area, all traces will be burned :(

The events are linear in either timelines. You can very easily see in which timeline you're in at any given time because they're using upper and lower black ribbons on the screen/image on the past timeline (even in the recap sequences).
The goal of the past timeline is rather clear, I'd say - the event that left KHJ where he is and what IK is trying to make sense of.
The present timeline... well, I am hoping for a happy ending, myself.

It's unclear why the female ranger was targeted, unless it was to punish her former poacher grandfather or because she might have a clue about the potato bombs.

The incident might have happened in the late winter in 2019 or the beginning of 2020, since now it's summer/the start of summer, judging by their clothes and the fact that cold comes sooner in the mountains than in the plains.
But now KHJ is the killer's next target, and it's coming... and then it stared snowing :( Probably there will be a few more incidents/rescues in the winter, but the big thing is coming.

I think she more than suspects her former (and current) colleagues, so she chooses to trust the rookie only, because she couldn't have been involved.
If she trusted them, she wouldn't have gone straight for Dae Jin's files and unreported evidence (like the yellow ribbons in the bag, which he's been having on him in the past timeline). I think she has doubts or maybe even certainties, but no proof yet and that's what she's hunting for in the present.
It already started snowing on the mountain, in the past timeline T_T
So, Se-wook is one of the killers, but the main killer got rid of him pretty fast. Well, good riddance.
It looks more and more like Dae Jin is either the killer, or in the know somehow. He was in the forest when Se-wook died, he had a bunch of yellow ribbons in his hands (though they looked pretty battered up, so he might have been removing them... what if he was actually placing them, though?)
It looks like there'll be some romance in the next part, which I'm not actually that much against, if it doesn't take over the plot completely.
The soundtrack also began growing on me, too... I am going to see this through to the end :D
EDIT: So am I imagining things, or did the drone catch an image of KHJ on the mountain top?...
He's back so soon?! (Not that I'm complaining, but I thought they had to do at least 20 months of military service). He's a great actor, so good to see him back! I hope it's a good drama, he really has to be a lead in more dramas!
Edit: I see he went in as an active duty Army soldier, they're required to do 18 months, so that does compute. Yay!! That means there was no medical problem or whatever for him to be discharged before the mandatory period (like with Choi Jin Hyuk). I'd very much like to see WDH in an action story :)

Hyun-Jo is trapped in one of the 28 worlds that super-impose on Mt. Jiri, and he can influence our world somehow. It was SO cool how the rookie could finally see him!! And the man they rescued due to Hyun-Jo's warning also saw him clearly. That world where he is / the ghost realm is so sad, all the trees are down, and it's all a wasteland...
I have high hopes they manage to wake him up, his fingers moved... but why was there a bruise? Was it caused by the rookie passing through his ghostly presence?!
The presumptive killer - Se Wook, if I'm reading the character chart correctly - is definitely not acting alone. He placed the bombs, and the poisoned yoghurt too, maybe, but the one with the glove isn't him, I don't think. My bet is on the one who's telling YK about the ghosts on Jiri. Why would he care unless he's taunting her?
Re: the poacher losing his life. It doesn't bother me much, except for his kids being left orphans. Other species have the right to survive along us, I don't care about his fines for breaking the law. Don't get into the kitchen if you can't handle the burns.
That brings me back to the people in danger - so far, most if not all of them seem to be poachers and/or illegally trespassing (except for the soldiers). I wonder what the man they rescued was actually doing on the trails... unless him taking a yoghurt bottle that didn't belong to him is considered worthy of punishment by the deranged killer(s).

The best episode ever - episode 6, hands down. I've no idea how this series isn't better known, but I am happy I got to watch it.
Still - does anyone have an idea of the long wall of text at the end of episode 8? That part got left untranslated for some reason.
