I like him in WIWS from the very beginning - when he's returning the wallet, when he escapes death, when he's the first who EXPERIMENTS with the future-changing theories (so SMART!!!), when he's tracking down all changes to try and understand how everything works (while the leads are following a romance, he's more like checking each and every paradox to see what caused it.)
And I BET you his actual secret wasn't that he was colour blind, but that he and the wrongly-accused friend had more than a simple relationship. It was heavily implied, but probably the production team got cold feet or didn't really want to take the risk.
Anyway, I remembered him well and fondly from WIWS. I want to see him more in some serious-themed (and science-including) drama, here's hoping!

Yeah, went back and watched it :D Well, "At least I should do something" is pretty understandable when one CAN'T do anything. I am sorry for the "nerd's" friend, but his breakdown makes sense, if he was abused the same as Private Cho. (It looks like a machine gun to me, but I never learned what military weapons are called, so... But why does he have live ammo though?! I thought they used training ammo and were issued real bullets only when on a mission, like the SWAT or whatever that team was.)
But the news piece seems to imply Cho didn't die (yet)? There are suicide attempts that fail even when they manage to shoot themselves in the head, and from the scene it looked like he shot himself in the neck. I'd rather want him to live even if he's probably a wreck, mentally and physically.
At least they didn't confirm (or deny) that Jun Ho deserted. I REALLY don't want to see Ho Yeol hunting him down, they have a precious friendship and neither deserve that. I wanted to check out the manhua, but I'll pass, just so that I never find out for sure, in case they don't make a second season.

I liked him better in While You Were Sleeping, myself, he had a less serious role, but he acted it out of the park LOL. And I kind of like that drama a bit better for romance's sake (despite not liking Suzy herself, because I'm contrary like that). AND his character was pretty sympathetic, I rooted for him all the way to the end :)
The Oath of Love, because Xiao Zhan, obviously. And because his dramas are so rare, each one is hyped and just enough to tide some of us over until the next one.
But also The One and Only & Forever and Ever just because of Bai Lu. And I'll bet you (without having read the source novel or watched the first part that already aired), that the first part ends tragically and they made it two different series to go around the reincarnation part LOL.
Probably Out of the Dream too - just because of Yao Chi's hairdo. I hope he gets and keeps his long hair throughout the series :)
Also She and Her Perfect Husband because I want to see Xu Kai in another comedy, and Who Rules the World - just because of Lulu Xuan! (I mean, I can't see how Yang Yang and Rosy Zhao would work together, since he usually just keeps a frozen face and she's more bubbly, so I don't know how they made both of them go past their emotional safe zones... but I miss YanLi! Well, not her, but HER, if you catch my meaning, LOL.)
But TBH, I'll try not to keep up with each one while it's airing. With short series, it's better to just binge-watch. Actually, with longer series it's also better to just binge-watch. Binge-watching rules!

According to the interviews with the cast, everybody actually just wanted to play Xue Yang and even auditioned for it LOL (including Xiao Zhan).
The director picked Xiao Zhan for WWX because of his beautiful smile (and having recommendations from persons in the industry who already knew him). They chose Wang Yibo for LWJ because he seemed "naturally" cold/reserved. There are some YT interviews where the cast talks about this, sorry, I have no link at hand.
Their voices are all dubbed - the voice actors are pretty well known and have also voiced the donghua (animation) characters :D The donghua is right now airing its last (third) season, if you want to watch some more Mo Dao Zu Shi :)

Watch Pride or Hero to get to know him :) Pride because it has a Queen OP (I Was Born To Love You - I can tell you I never skipped the OP with that drama LOL), it's about hockey and KimuTaku looks like a million bucks in it, and Hero because it's funny and it's a police story. Can't go wrong with police stories :D
When it comes to adaptations from manga, they awfully often get it wrong (TBH, the only one they did perfectly right was RuroKen, and they hit gold with Takeru being basically a Kenshin look-alike :D) Death Note was an OMG trial (though L was kind of cute), Bleach - let's not mention it, and how on Earth do you mess up Full Metal Alchemist?! Most of them work better as anime or OVAs, and after becoming used to less choppy scripts/acting, it's hard to enjoy them. Though they do get them right every once in a while - No Touching At All was rather good, and I was afraid they'd mess it up (I love that manga) and lately Cherry Magic is basically better than the manga LOL.
That's why HYD doesn't seem too appealing to me right now. (Particularly, as I said, as I didn't actually like BOF either.) Dunno. Might try it in the future if the Chinese stop churning out wuxia/xianxia for me to get my fix of pretty boys LOL.

He made me fall for doramas (and I admit I haven't given him a heart on MDL, but that's rare for me because of lazyness), yet seriously, he's one of the best, most handsome, and very popular Japanese actors. T_T (I mean, Hero, Pride, Mr. Brain, etc - why is there not enough love for KimuTaku?! T_T)
I've known Miura Haruma (RIP) from his Bloody Monday series, and he's rather good in it, aren't they popular? Hmm. I can't make myself watch TWO WEEKS (JP) because of how he ended it just before the dorama was released. (That and I love the k-drama, don't really want to see any changes I wouldn't approve of.)
And obviously Sato Takeru is probably one of the best known internationally, if only for the RuroKen movie series. (How on Earth did they find someone who is EXACTLY Himura Kenshin incarnated?! He fits the character like a glove.) But he was in Bloody Monday too, and he was great in Bitter Blood too (his counterpart, Watabe Atsuro, was hilarious, that was one of my favourite series :D)
I haven't watched Hana Yori Dango and don't plan to (because Boys Over Flowers was very much enough for me, despite the great soundtrack), but most of the top 10 seem to have some relation to HYD... I guess that one's the most known around MDL and that's one of the reasons... Oh well...

Ji Sung and Kim Min Jung were AMAZING (I totally bought her obsession with him right up to the end), I have a new fave actress to look up (she's new to me, so...)

The story happily is what it seemed to become from the first eps - Monte Cristo in a pretty good adaptation. I approve. I very much approve!!! This is one that comes almost up to Flower of Evil for me (can't help it, I VERY much appreciate Ji Sung, but I LOVE Lee Joon Gi *helpless hand gestures*), and I seriously needed that.
It's only ep 5 and it's slowing down into romcom, which I guess should be adding to the comedy element, but it kind of takes the fun out of the police stuff.
Somehow, I can't really appreciate Krystal's acting, she has one expression only (pouty/annoyed), and did so even in "Search", where the romance fell flat too - not in small part because of her acting. I can't feel her being serious about the ML, and his interest is kind of phoned in too.
This seemed to be much more interesting when it started, but now it's becoming a bit meh.
Will keep watching for a while, at least for lack of something else to do, but it's pretty soon in the series for it to become laggy and uninteresting...
After episode 9 - the biggest reveal of all times...
Mrs. Ji can't cook LOL. Ga On's FACE :D I was ROFL the whole time. And Elijah's smirk when he came to complain to her, LOL.
And yeah, all kinds of epic things happened, but that was the best part of the episode for me :D (Well, that and the family meal Ga On later cooks - but that's probably a huge foreshadowing or something and I do NOT want to think about it right now.)
Also, Ga On better not be trying to double-cross KYH, because I'll come down on his ass like a freight train, he better watch out!
Before writing this article I didn't know that Gun was a child actor, a super cute one, too!
... On the other hand - Gun playing a double role :P (I don't see Off's appeal, TBH, but he and Gun DO have a good chemistry and I guess he was acceptable. Just not up to Gun's level IMHO.)
The scariest movie I've ever watched is John Carpenter's The Thing, there are no ghosts in it either, but OMG the creepyness of everything. I highly recommend it. It's supposed to be a scifi/horror/thriller, but the practical FX are awesome/horrific and it takes top of the cream for me in the genre.
And the second scariest is Misery (well, I love the book too, maybe more than the movie). Nothing ghosty, nothing supernatural, not even aliens in it... The scary part is humans and just humans.
Not Me's going to be good, judging by the trailer, but one can never know with Thai BL. I hope they keep the BL down and let Gun shine more, LOL. :D
