What, what, what.... Jiang Cheng entered the scene like a boss. He was all majestic and domineering LOL, coming…
Yes, there's a manhua (UNFINISHED at this time, I think it's around volume 11 now - maybe, I didn't buy it and don't read it online). And it follows the novel as close as possible, but I don't really like the art, TBH. It's cute, as cute as the donghua charas, but at least those are animated and aren't as... scraggly, I'd call it. I definitely have some preferences when it comes to manga/manhwa/manhua art, and sadly the MDZS version of it isn't filling my req's LOL.
The audio drama is EXCELLENT!! (and it was fan-TLed, so it's pleasing to the eye, too. Some of them even used the drama charas to illustrate the speaker's POV. And - this is my absolute favourite thing about it - they do sound effects. Including kissing sounds. And moans. You know. PG-rated stuff *lying through my teeth*
The first season of the donghua is a MASTERPIECE. It follows the novel timeline (told you MXTX goes back and forth between the present and the past in the novel while the drama took a linear and easier to understand approach). The second season is also very good. Sadly, in-between the 2nd and the 3rd (last), something happened with the censorship so they toned it down a bit. The worst thing about it is that they changed some of the events' order and so the final impact of some of the reveals is a bit faded IMHO. But I WOULD totally recommend the donghua, too. It's so catchy.
And most of all, EVEN if you don't watch the donghua... watch the chibi donghua!! There are some 30 eps IIRC, all around 5-minutes long, and they're the cutest thing you'll ever witness. And they are NOT shy about what's happening, LOL. So, so cute.
Youku start at 7.30pm yesterday and Netflix started at 9.30pm.. I wonder if youku will start 7.30pm again or 6pm..…
I meant more like, episodes release schedule rather than exact hour (I don't have that much free time to watch it as soon as it airs either). On CCTV it looks like they're airing daily (or at least they're committed for the first week LOL), but I'm not sure how NF is going to keep up. Will they make their own schedule or just follow the Youku VIP calendar (as it looks so far)?
Just wondering if they made any announcements on the official NF schedule.
Sorry, out of topic, but if you like The Untamed, or if you fans of chinese bromance drama, you might like this…
How are the subs? MGTV left me with a shadow on the mind about their subs, LOL, since Wolf Hunter. I've never ever seen worse subs before or after (I don't want to be brothers with you came pretty close, but at least Viki took that drama and made it better LOL).
Ngl lol, in the beginning i thought Jiang Cheng was the villain and Jin Ling was his stpd henchman because of…
What, what, what.... Jiang Cheng entered the scene like a boss. He was all majestic and domineering LOL, coming in like "who's your daddy" hahaha~
Thinking back, I don't even think I ever considered who the bad guy is in the first half of the story, I was too engrossed on what was happening to and around them all. (Other than the very obvious Wen Clan's dealings, I mean).
I am so happy you enjoyed it! Ngl, it was like my second historical C-drama which is when I started getting into…
NiF is as close to a masterpiece as they come - almost a perfect 10, LOL. I used to have such a crush on most of the cast hahaha~ (And such a heartbreak with NiF2).
There are very few that left such a strong impression - TU, NiF, Fangs of Fortune (I admit it's all the pretty and the crazy chemistry), Guardians of the Dafeng, all Chinese, and then there's only Flower of Evil and Life on Mars on the kdrama side :D
This turned out a lot better than I expected. There was no rush, there were no heroics, it eventually came to a natural end. I liked it a lot, even though they did Yin Fang wrong with that hairdo LOL. He's usually quite handsome.
Lin MuRan (playing DongDong) did an amazing job. I hope he gets more important roles in the future.
This was quite a nostalgic watch for me, I'd forgotten what the 90s were like, it's eerie that China in the 90s doesn't seem so different from Europe in the 90s...
Well, a standard Cinderfella story. I wish they'd have gone back to the real/original world. That would've made it a bit better IMHO (still cliche, but everything else was too so...)
My problem with King is that he doesn't investigate to find the culprit, he decides who's the culprit and then…
LOL, that's a bit too extreme, isn't it? These are fictional characters after all, and saying one loves or hates them is a bit of an euphemism at all times. At the same time... one can expect some idealistic traits AT LEAST from fictional characters, right? Because if not for that, why would we need fiction for?!
That being said, I'm not hating King. I'm just stating he is scum. In an idealistic (fictional) supernatural world where ghosts exist and can affect living people, LOL.
I don’t understand the king hate. He is the only logical person in this series! He said singha shouldn’t bring…
My problem with King is that he doesn't investigate to find the culprit, he decides who's the culprit and then goes all the way to fit the facts to his decision.
That's not what a good police officer would do. He's scum.

They even did drama extras that are not even in the novel and they're hilarious!! (subs on)

And look... WWX still proposed first, according to the chibi donghua :D

Oh well. I guess I'll wait for it to finish airing then.
Thanks :)

But it looks very promising, I want a solid cdrama to end the year, here's hoping.

Also, NO, Darin is off-limits, you hear me, scary ghost thing?! Hands off him! Choose another Wednesday.
