IMHO, that doctor was a lying quack who lied.

Also, this deserves a better rating than the current one.

For those wondering about how it ends...

OMG LOL I CAN'T (ep11)
Ten minutes before the ending, HongRang-substitute goes... DODGE THIS hahahahahaha!

That was AWESOME!

He'd better survive. Or ELSE.

(ep6) I thought they wanna build, errr, catch a snowman? Don't they wanna build/catch a snowman anymore?

Other than that, I still like the story quite a lot. Sadly he's not THE one, so there go all my initial theories. I don't care, I'm invested now. I hope there's a HEA.

That Hindi-sounding song is pretty good. I hope they released it already or will, soon.

On ep3 - you know what... I kind of like this. A lot. I won't be reading comments so I don't get too many spoilers. But so far, so good.

2nd ep's editing is much better. Also, some plotlines are now becoming apparent from all the whacky puzzle of…
What in freaking hell is going on in that town?! There are slavery rings that have been going on for at least 12 years or more, if not just the one, kids are presumably disappearing left and right for the slavers to have something to do, too, aside those taken by an albino Gigantopithecus and given to - ha! - the painter who happens to be a prince. A mad one too. With a dark room in which to keep his victims closed in - for painting them?!

Anyway, the (real/not real) Hongrang came to do some vigilante things and clean up messes. By now, if he's not the real one, he probably met the real one in the past and learned some info on the family. Or maybe it is InHoe after all, LOL.

The adopted bro is still being creepy.

JaeYi is the first woman who can actually put on male clothing and pass that I've ever seen in a historical drama. Cho BangSuk should sell his remedy for eyesight too - having seen her from a distance, in the dark, from a shadowed half-profile, he recognised on a single glace a passing half-hidden woman in full daylight. I want some of those carrots, pass the plate.

I guess we'll be watching this after all. Hopefully it's a HEA.

I am on episode 2, and this has been happening quite a lot. I don't understand Korean, hence the need for subs,…
Also pieces are completely missing, too, LOL - she saw his face, presumably asked why it's swollen (I don't know enough to tell if she said that) then added "Did my father [do it]" which never got TLed at all. Oh well. I hope at least the core of it remains true to the words spoken.

Whoever wrote that OST really likes Hindi music, LOL. Or so it sounds. I might be wrong. So, first impressions…
If the kid is dead, she did it. He was calling for his sister, so maybe she did (accidentally/on purpose) kill him and now she's looking for redemption or just forgot she did. Or maybe the prince did, him with the butterfly fetish.

If the kid is alive, maybe it's InHoe, LOL. He didn't come into the picture a lot yet, I almost wondered if he's actually a disguised girl. Or maybe it's the actual pretender. TBH I'm not really invested on who the real heir - if alive - is, because I don't actually care for the plot yet. If ever.

The worst of it is I didn't recognise Kim JaeWook until I looked at the cast and character names. They did him wrong LOL.

So, first impressions - I really don't like the editing. They made it jumpy and kind of annoying, hopefully this changes in the next eps. Or at least gets bearable. Then the opening scene (the chase and following search) really didn't connect. What followed was better. Kind of.

I mean, this is based on a novel, so I guess they tried to make it mysterious and all... but nobody has a past in this drama. I have no idea why the prince is even important (though he's a bit cuckoo too), what the power standing is and why should it matter who adopted whom.

Anyway... I mean to continue for now. If only because I have some theories and I might be interested to see if I'm right.

PS the adopted bro is a bit too creepy for my taste.

Oh, they did an AIO drop.

Anyway. I'm here mid-watching ep1 because a character said "I've missed you very much" in Korean and the TL said "95 days". Now I know the TL is also adapting the actual words, but I'm just curious if this keeps on happening (TLed parts that do not fit the words spoken.)

Dew is going to be in Burnout Syndrome with Gun and Off, LOL. They cheat on the drama's poster, I BET Dew is taller than Off, so they had him set a bit lower, then Gun, then Off over the two of them hahaha~ I have no expectations of an actual Thai threesome, but who knows. They can surprise us all :D

I haven't watched Pond in anything else yet, I hope they manage to find a tighter way to tell the story in this one, so that all the cuteness isn't wasted :D

I think lowkey, the reason people think the pacing is slow is because there is no urgency (in the acting as well),…
TBH I'm watching and not skipping because (at least for the latest ep) I was dream-casting the actors in other stories LOL.

Because daaamn is Dew tall and handsome. I keep wondering where could they put him in dramas based on danmei novels or yaoi manga and have him be the top ('cause he's got that aura LOL). And also who could be found to be his counterpart, because this drama right here is showing a great tall-guy/smol-guy pairing (and a tall-guy/smol-gal pairing, too). I've been missing that setup since Under the Skin, LOL. Not sure about the acting chops yet, though, so he'd need to be somewhat silent and just... there. But he has the strong and handsome part down already hahaha~

Still amazed by how small Gun still looks. He didn't look as small even in NM. He could play students (I hope he doesn't though) til his 40s if he wanted LOL.

If I'm watching this, I'll be watching it for CHK, he managed really well in Castaway Diva and while the drama's subject isn't precisely drawing me in, and neither is JKH (he usually does great, but I'm left with a bad aftertaste after CCR, though maybe not really because of him... it's just the association), a good showing from them all will help a lot.

As long as they keep it palatable and don't try to get too "zany" (which in kdramas usually means unhinged), this might be a good thing. We'll see.

Title Top Form Spoiler
The last two eps almost lost me, but the final half ep got me back, LOL. I really hope they do make a second season…
I don't get it - why did Akin agree so easily to throw away his acting career? His acting was basically his life. He loves Jin and it's a grand gesture, but nobody really fought him off on it. Not even Jin. That seems like a plot device to hook up a second season, so I didn't get that emotionally invested in it. Still, that part was weak as a motivator.

All's well that ends well though. I guess it's time to pick up the manga too :D

... And for the last time, if they're buying manga, why not go directly to Haru wo Daiteita?! It's there, it's great, Boom is already around LOL. Have at it :D

I'm sorry, TBH I myself didn't read it. I know it's being published officially by the same house that published the novel in English, but I liked the drama and the novel and basically all the other media the story was put into... just not the manhua, LOL. So I didn't really look for it either. I guess there would be some if not of it on some manga sites, if you go looking, but I didn't go look :/

Kenshin feels kind of like a Japanese Batman! 😅My favorite quote is from his final fight with his mentor when…
You need to watch The Final & The Beginning too (in this order). OR. Just in case you want to really be smitten with how great a character Kenshin is, maybe try the OVA (only for The Beginning, it's the same story).

The OVA is called "Tsuioku-hen" (or "Memory", the official title might be something like "Trust & Betrayal"), mainly for two, no, make that four reasons: 1. it's one of the absolutely BEST anime of all times (and it's not a series, so double win!), 2. it has one of the BEST soundtracks of all times (TAKU IWASAKI WROTE THIS!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVCudROQGwE ), 3. it's one of the best stories (and tells you the bloody story of WHY he chose not to kill, ever again) and 4... Suzukaze Mayo. The live-action did everything as well as they could, but there's NOTHING to get close to Mayo-san's heart-rending tone, her voice breaking on Kenshin's declaration that he won't ever kill again.

Gore warning, blood warning, tragedy warning, amazing heartbreaking story warning, there-is-no-moving-on-from-this warning.

I am just amazed they did everything so well with the live-action, Takeru Sato was born to play Kenshin, I'm so glad they made all the movies while he's still young enough to play Kenshin well. And One OK Rock sang the best theme songs, LOL :D

Title Under the Microscope Spoiler
Finally, I loved how justice won the day, and our characters (Cheng Renqing, Feng Baoyu and of course the ever…
They didn't, LOL. They just did the same thing but on the reverse. Instead of one county paying the whole silk tax, they made the other counties pay the same tax (no reductions :D) in turn. Which is pretty fair, all things considered.

Ah, FBY (he's going to get married to that girl, see if he doesn't :D)

And CRQ!!! He's going to get married to BiYu, see if he doesn't :D

And they had a cat! :D

I can't help it, Wang Yang stole my heart in this one. From the beginning where CRQ comes in all slimy-lawyer-covering-up-dirt to the shining end where he gets to be a hero - ON A WHITE HORSE! :D. He even took SJM's cat to the slammer to him, LOL. You can't help but love him. And it makes such a glorious contrast to his character in JoL, where he is also heroic and motivates Fan Xian through the whole plot, LOL, but goes out too soon T_T. From all the characters in JoL, Teng ZiJing didn't deserve to die so fast :( )

...Also Fei QiMing because he's cute as a button, just my type of cute LOL.
