Okay, I definitely KNOW this is based on another manga, and not even the art is the same, but I keep seeing them as KatouxIwaki. Boom in particular looks perfect to play Iwaki, if it ever happens. That man is walking sensuality.

So wait, the FIL was trialed and found guilty of stock manipulation, sentenced too (even if the prison term was revoked). That's all done, right?

Then, this new indictment on yet another charge of stock manipulation is a different case?

What is that saying, a rose by any other name, wait, no, a leopard doesn't change his spots, wait... umm, something about feeling remorse for all the people he manipulated into losing their money or something. That man hasn't learned anything, his money saved him from prison and now he did the exact same thing again. If found guilty, I hope he doesn't escape prison this time.

As for LSG, I am sorry to say it - I think this does impact his career significantly. Yes he's staying by his woman, yes he's proving loyalty to her since he loves her... but the time to take some distance from his in-laws (or at least the FIL) was probably in 2024 when the Supreme Court upheld the original sentence.

For those saying cancel culture and that this isn't his own fault - I read about the wedding and his FIL's controversy (at the time he was only charged IIRC, they hadn't given him a sentence yet), and the names in the family (the wife, daughters and his own) would likely tint the trial in certain ways. As much as we'd like to pretend that justice is blind, in real life, people with money and relations get off easier than nobodies (proof here, the FIL avoided prison time). So now, sadly, his name is going to be linked to his scammer FIL's for quite a long time. Taking some distance (and proving it's not just PR) will probably save some of his career. But we'll see.

I don't think there'll be a second season and it doesn't actually need it. The ending was perfect for the story. And yeah it's a choose your own ending, but he's strong, he'll survive this too. And the world is full of women, and also men, LOL (let him be inclusive of all :D)

I don't remember the exact ep, but it's after he remembers everything. So 8-10 or thereabouts.

It's shown in a flashback she tried to cut herself and was rescued or stopped, but still has scars from it, so he took her to a tattooist to cover it up with the flower bracelet tattoo. But she was too scared it would hurt (I know, LOL, but people can try it and still fear pain) so he volunteered to get tattooed first to show her it doesn't hurt. (Then he admitted it hurt like hell, LOL).

It is exactly that - mainly het rom taking most of the screen time, then some home life scenes, and last of all, the actual BL teen love. There are some sweet moments, but they're rare, far apart and also pretty bland.

If this was filmed in 2022, as they say, Ahn JiHo was barely 18 (and IIRC, they still counted one less year for his age then, as they used to and now changed to a "normal" age counting). I think one could have expected no kiss scene.

But that's not the point - this is a drama called HEESU in Class 2, and we spent more than half with a hetero bland romance and I don't even know how many pointless tennis scenes that lead nowhere, instead of the main character. I think even more domestic scenes with the sisters would have had more impact than one scene where Chan Young is kicking a tennis ball around YET AGAIN.

So yeah if they wanted a straight+some BL one the side teen romance, they could have just used another title and not bait-and-switched the people who came to watch a teen BL story.

That even after he lectured him (HeeSu) on being a bad friend because he doesn't open up or share everything in his life with Chan Young. Like... what can you even say to that reaction?!

They barely held hands, no kiss (obviously), way too much hetrom still, two botched / awkward confessions... And Chan Young's initial reaction (too much focus on that character), that showed he's still a sh!tty friend.

Anyway. Eyecandy. That was all.

Yup, it went kind of like I imagined it would. So it ends. Oh well.

IMHO the book is more brutal than this - even if there is more of a warfare type of story and not just fistfights. And TBH a lot more heartbreaking (then again, it's a book and it takes time to develop characters so the reader gets invested in their story, where this S2 actually didn't.)

But the final feeling - the whole strife is so pointless in the end - is kind of the same.

Like seriously, so SeungWon will listen to HeeSu confess to Chan Young that he used to crush on him and very probably will walk away before HeeSu admits to who he likes now (if he even does). And then they'll probably cut to half hour of Chan Young winning some tennis match and/or Ji Yu winning some song contest etc and eventually remember this was supposed to be a BL and have the OTP confess in a roundabout way that they might be interested in each other.

And then hold hands - AT MOST. I predict there's not even a tentative of a kiss.

Oh well. At least there were some nice eyecandy actors - does anyone else think Lee SangYun kind of looks like Li YunRui? Because to me he kind of does.

2xed the hetrom and the tennis, but still they managed to leave it off for the last ep. When, because that's what they did so far, they'll focus on the hetrom even more. *sigh*

That's because knife fighting is always a lot more cruel than fist fights.

LPT for anyone facing someone with a knife: no matter how well you fight, RUN FOR YOUR LIFE. An idiot with a knife can get a lucky strike that will maim you for life or even kill you, even if they don't know what they're doing.

The ending almost saved it, but then they had to add the afterscene. Oh well.

Anyway, here's my 2 cents: too little time spent on character development (I mean, what could they even do with 30-35 mins long eps and only 8 of them), a very pointless struggle (kind of tragic in that way), and the whole season could be also called "How I became a SML in the drama I'm supposed to be ML in" LOL. Because let's face it, Baku/Ryeoun is more in the focus than SiEun/PJH ever is.

(And one final pet peeve of mine - everybody in the cast looks 30+ with about only 2 exceptions, and those two look like they're at least in their 20s. Even the actors who are actually in their 20s look older than they are. No idea if it's the makeup's fault or the filters they used or whatever, but it looked like these were basically adults who play at fighting teenager fights. For some reason S1 did it better).

ETA For a better impression on how this season felt... If you can, get Molnar Ferenc's The Boys of Paul Street, it's basically 80% the same story but better written IMHO.

Anyone else thinks the professor is suspect? Like, are his wife and daughter really alive, and if so... what did he have to do so they survived? Or maybe they're not so alive anymore and he's just pretending he still has a family?

Night is being stupid, why is he so stubborn? If he really wants to break the cycle he should try every possibility so that it ends...

So it looks like it won't be skipping 4 years any more...
