This has been a trend recently in K dramas...I'm slowly losing trust in them. After this it's gonna be a pretty…
You and me both. It could be that I am simply angry but it seemed like this year was especially bad? There was mess after mess and it culminated in this biggest one.
I am never touching another kdrama before it's over and I can vet the ending. For my mental health 🤣
Sometimes some writers want to show they are genius... and this is when problem arise... 🤷♂️
Check your misogyny.
This isn't about being female. Are Game of Thrones writers female?
No this is about jealous writers who cannot handle that they are adapting a fantastic success of an original novel, knowing that the success is not theirs and feel the need to show off their own genius, thereby ruining it. Hardly the first time this happens.
Can you tell what was the original webtoon ending?
Grandfather died a little differently in the novel but basically, Do Joon manges to find out about the grandmother, sorts her out, buys SY and merges it with Miracle. A complete victory.
Oh and during the novel he married the prosecutor who was by then a judge. It was simple, clean and satisfying.
I want to offer a slow clap to the writers for turning something amazing into utter and complete trash. The original ending was so clean and simple and they managed to ruin that. That takes some skill!
Everything that happened till now, everything was for nothing. All the development, the relationships, it's all pointless. I can't believe they managed to do so but here we go. Unbelievable. Well here comes my "nothing" rating, not like I can do much else.
I read it and face palmed. But luckily I didn't watch so there is a distance that is making sure I am not anxious. Genuinely, I don't understand wth they are doing and where they are going with this, considering there is one episode left.
Hyun Woo doesn't exist in the second life, his parents had a daughter. Doo Joon simply battles it out with the grandmother, buys SY and merges it with Miracle. I have no idea where they will go in the drama now.
At one point I started doubting myself so I asked one of my Korean friends if I was missing something due to translation. She said it was very clear in the original that it's just a flashback, a memory. So I honestly have no idea where all this fantasy here is coming from 🤷
Was the grandfather supposed to die in the plane crash? everyone keeps saying do joon saved his grandfather from…
Grandfather was never on that plane in the first life. The plane crashed anyway and it was a big deal in Korean history that everyone, including Hyun Woo knew about.
Second life - new Do Joon's presence changes grandfather's actions so he takes the trip he never took in the first life and then gets on that plane but Do Joon recognizes the flight and managed to save the day.
I have not seen Reborn Rich, can someone explain why this drama is so captivating?
Because it's absolutely brilliant. Episode 1 is a very slow intro, it takes off after that. The acting is amazing, you are going to see a literal masterclass by Lee Sung Min. The plot is incredibly engaging. The cinematography and editing top notch. Give it a go, it's really worth it.
None of that overcomplicated stuff, over half doesn't even make sense, just the original ending that I am hoping…
That is one of the things that I preferred in the novel.
It was super clean - he was never born in that life. Instead of Hyun Woo, his parents had a daughter and there was a clean break between the old and the new. None of these things in the drama about the old family happened in the novel. New Do Joon actually had a fantastic relationship with his new mother and brother, I miss those parts a lot.
So if I get this right, the ML marries someone else, additionally to FL? If someone would be so kind to spoil below because hell no, I don't touch stuff like that with a thousand foot pole. Thank you!

Complicated or not, absolutely not my thing. So best to know in advance. Thank you again!
