Tencent didn't said anything. I still hope this drama will be air this year.Patiently Waiting.
TLP is not a historical drama. You can cry about it all you want now.
The Japanese costumes did affect some dramas but it's absolutely no excuse for TLP considering one of the primary targets for that was LLG that had real issues with that and in the end, it wasn't affected one bit.
Tencent dropped the ball with TLP in a number of ways and that blip was the least of its problems.
Keep trying to thought police, you will always get the exact same answer from me. I don't engage politely with Thought -Stasi. You want politeness? Stop trying to order people what to think and what to post on a neutral drama page. You can fandom police xfx if they like that on your fan pages, not here.
End of this year is most likely because they haven't had a single real hit and in fact most were active flops.…
Nope.
It's why my phrasing was quite specific. If you notice, I said a "real hit".
Chinese market is extremely cold. It started a few years ago and it is only getting worse, not better. This is the primary reason why all platforms removed views and introduced nebulous "heat" indexes. These are easily faked numbers that nobody in China takes seriously. It's nonsense. The only even remotely reliable metric now is Datawin so let's use that.
If a drama manages to get above 3, we call this a "small explosion". It's a small hit. Now go look at Datawin numbers of for example LLG. Yet when you look at what Tencent said, it is the bestest hit ever. Except, it is not and they know it. Datawin itself commented on this summer quite clearly.
So a few small explosions, or thereabout, does not a real hit make. Old dramas are something completely different, it cannot even be compared.
To be clear, this isn't just Tencent, it is all platforms. They are happy now if by chance something hits 3 because that's as good as it gets. It is a success, in these conditions. But it doesn't change reality that comparatively, it's small. Again, it's the market overall that's the issue.
And the market went cold because of bad script writing, bad acting and huge water injections. Until that is addressed, nothing in the big picture will change.
Sorry, don't agree with you at all, so did millions of viewers around the world.Watching a 16 episodes drama is…
I mean Twilight and 50 shades of gray had millions of people adore them. It doesn't change the fact toilet paper has more worth than that trash.
You should respond to her actual points if you disagree and counter each one, not appeal to popularity that doesn't pass with anyone who has graduated from high school.
Tencent didn't said anything. I still hope this drama will be air this year.Patiently Waiting.
Imagine thinking you are some sort of arbiter of truth that can throw her weight around and tell people what to think and do? Especially when you can't even classify this drama properly. TLP is not a historical drama. Embarrassing.
Right they should apologise. Sept is still available. Is it not ? It can be released ? 🥺
Unfortunately not, it is 32. Actually the rumor has been that it was 32 from the start and now you can see for yourself. Go to WeTV, under coming soon. It says 32 episodes.
Knowing cdramas, its a good thing though. It means the fillers are few, something that has always been a problem for cdrama and way less water injection.
Tencent didn't said anything. I still hope this drama will be air this year.Patiently Waiting.
I understand, I am sorry too. In the past two years or so, fans have been accused of many false things. It's not been easy so seeing it yet again was a bit difficult.
Tencent will air it eventually. I just wish they would apologize. Nobody forced them to say it would air this summer so many people were really looking forward to it and now are disappointed.
Tencent didn't said anything. I still hope this drama will be air this year.Patiently Waiting.
So why are you accusing fans of inventing things? You are literally lying and at the same time, accusing others of making up false stories.
Tencent said the approximate time they would air it. Several times. They not only didn't deliver, they haven't even bothered to apologize. You can believe whatever you like, Tencent said what they said. They are not in kindergarten and everyone has the absolute right to hold them accountable.
End of this year is most likely because they haven't had a single real hit and in fact most were active flops.…
Exactly. I am looking forward to the iQiyi announcement that should be in September latest because he has to get out from Tencent's dominance. Shooting good shows, maybe even hit shows, for rivals is perhaps the only chance he has to make Tencent treat him decently.
Tencent didn't said anything. I still hope this drama will be air this year.Patiently Waiting.
Ah yes, honestly I forgot about the app comment but that does make it three. I am sure screenshots were all over twitter, they always are. People had good reason to expect this.
To be fair, OOL was complicated by Hunan. It wasn't a clear cut situation but it absolutely is now and they are not broadcasting simply because they don't want to. It's true that the barrage on Weibo won't do any good but at least it made me feel satisfaction. I was especially angry after that hot search from a few days ago. They have been using TLP to leech data for their Princess like the worst trash so now it feels good netizens refuse to take it quietly.
Tencent lied again, anyone surprised ?🤡Come back next year, everyone…
End of this year is most likely because they haven't had a single real hit and in fact most were active flops. So they will throw it in end of fiscal year to save what they can.
Tencent didn't said anything. I still hope this drama will be air this year.Patiently Waiting.
That's false.
Tencent absolutely said, twice, that they would air it this summer. They did not give an exact date but they did say this summer. They are getting destroyed on Weibo for it, as they should be.
They don't even have the guts to come out and apologize if they have already decided it is not happening. Many netizens would appreciate at least that much.
I posted this (see spoiler) as a comment a little further down, and I think the writers knew very well what they…
Oh it's over all right.
I don't want to be in the vicinity of anyone who thinks behaviour like Min Woo's is a no big deal that deserves no consequences. People like you frighten the living daylights out of me.
This is just my perspective. She chosen minwoo name carefully but written his character poorly. Especially when…
You are wasting your time with her. You believe in accountability and consequences for actions. She believes in some nebulous process of learning that absolves people of any responsibility whatsoever. Completely different world views.
Anyway, I agree with you. I would actually have been fine with them having Min Woo learn to be a better person and facing consequences for his actions. Instead he got rewarded for everything he did. Terrible writing.

Yes, he needs to be fired, at the least.
But anyway, it's pointless. Privileged people never get it. Just know shit happens precisely because of people like you who think accountability and consequences can be waved away. Enjoy your privilege I guess.

Because I realized it's actually too cruel. But you know what, maybe you should get a Min Woo yourself. You don't think it's a big deal and it's all totally fine! Let's see how forgiving you would be then if there is nothing wrong with this situation. It actually is a good idea for all of you who think it's great that in an apparently socially relevant show people like him just walk away from all his misdeeds. It's certainly an "awesome" message for every neurodivergent person who watched this and perhaps saw a part of themselves in this and a part of their own struggles, that then got deemed invalid. So easy to hand wave his character when it's never been you.
Edit: No, actually I can't. I finished this with a I wish you a Min Woo but I can't leave it that way. I actually don't because nobody should be forced to suffer that and that we live in a society that is like that is awful. That people wave away just how much suffering the Min Woos of this world cause. I suppose I just have to accept people like you exist and as long as they do, the Min Woos will continue happily doing what they do. But that's just how it is.

So where are the consequences for Min Woo? Where is the accountability? Up on the Moon chilling I guess, while he enjoys his happy ending reward for all the shitty things he has done .
What an "amazing" message of a show that wanted to take itself seriously.
