Nope. I was reading through the comments because I hate fish kisses and a few comments below there is a detailed answer that is unfortunately not what I was hoping for.
Agree , I have recently seen 3 dramas with the same issue .. Early teens or 20s i can still buy .. but mid 20s…
You would be very welcome 😁
My recommendation for a jiejie romance would be My Fated Boy. It has a few issues but when it comes to women in China, much more realistic.
The FL has prior dating experience, multiple boyfriends. They also show what some women experience like the very real issues with single motherhood that one of the FL friends has. Now that is a genuine, real problem that has almost disappeared in the west that I am sorry to say is portrayed there pretty accurately. Women in the workplace too, some good writing there. So while rare now that drama gives me hope we shall see more realistic, well written female characters in the future. After all, Chinese women themselves are often very unhappy about portrayal of women on TV and films and they are getting louder and louder.

China is certainly not as free as for example USA and social pressures that especially women have are still very traditional - get married, have a baby.
But these days young people date freely and physical intimacy is normal. They switch boyfriends, party, enjoy themselves. I am talking about the cities of course, I have no experience with rural areas. So meeting a 28 yo who has not been even kissed? As rare as meeting the same in the West.
Older generations certainly had different lives but urban China today and especially educated sections of society are very modern. If you ever get a chance, come visit. It's an experience worth having 🙂

No, it's not. Anyone who tells you that it's normal in Asia not to have been kissed at 28 is either lying or talking as a Westerner who learned about Asia from dramas.
This was surprisingly good and the thing that surprised me the most is how well the female characters were handled. From the completely unexpected development of FL2 to points like her amazing sister, the FL who is not a virgin Mary, the absolutely incredible female friendships (and friendships in general) to how they handled things like single motherhood and women in the workplace (I will forever remember the scene about jealousy because I did not expect this show to start spitting truths like that. Damn.)
Where did this maturity in writing women suddenly come from? Really surprised and I am sorry this show is relatively overlooked compared to far more toxic things out there that are popular. Yes, this has its issues that I am sure others mentioned by now but when it shines, it shines way more brightly than a ton of other dramas.
Ji Chang Wook is one fine, fine actor. I don't know why I keep getting the feeling he never gets full recognition for his acting ability but I hope this drama helps out in that because damn, did he do a fantastic job.
It's a trend. Kill off the main lead or separate them. Same thing with 2521. I believe there'll be more of these…
No, it doesn't. An ending can be happy, open or sad depending on the context of the show and you can get equal fulfilment out of all of these, if they fit. This show tried to be edgy and failed. The only impact is pissed off people who will avoid dramas by Vagabond writer in the future.
They will lose viewers in general if they keep to impact instead of context but their choice. In today's world people will simply stop watching and wait for a drama to end because they can catch up if it is good. This year especially has had some clunkers when it comes to endings, all this will do is make people cautious.
So Xiao Zhan is really doing this drama. Is it a novel based drama?
You can be assured, it is definitely an original and completely unrelated to that Thai thing. I have seen some plot points so I am hopeful though of course, it's early days. XZ is picky and at the time the news broke out, the word was he had some of the script adjusted. Another plus to add to a great cast too 🤞
