I was suspicious of Thua since the diary incident in Chadok's office (which was confirmed it was Thua now) but it was still shocking tbh because he was so agressive about it. He even outed Akk and Ayan which was such a sh*tty thing to do

This episode sure was intense to say the least; a rollercoaster ride. Loved it tho :)

GMM and their damn break up scenes, ugh I forgot about that. No wonder I had a bad feeling about ep 11, since…
Idk about a break up. Tbh I think it’s gonna be something worse…. I’ll be extremely surprised if nothing bad happens

Hmm. I’ve read that The Eclipse was shot before Not me. But idk, I didn’t look it up myself. I just assumed it was true. Maybe I’m wrong.

Not gonna lie, I had expectations in terms of the plot before starting this drama that were not met. With mystery…
Oh, you write as well? That's great! ^^

The first time I watched Not Me I focused on OffGun and the hidden identity aspect the most. But the 2nd time I decided to prioritise Dan and Yok's (FirstGawin) storyline. And that 2nd time I realised how emotional and beautiful Dan and Yok's romance was. I now know what I loved most about Not Me and that's DanYok.

What I'm writing on right now has romance in it as well and the main couple are two men. You said that most BLs are only about romance. I've definitely seen many shows where they just threw away the story and only focused on the romance/couple (a good example being HIStory: Crossing the Line). I'm not saying that this is a bad thing, because pure romance stories are good as well. But a lot of stories have really tried to break free from this. I think both Not Me and The Eclipse are good examples of this. Yes, my favourite thing about both of these shows are the romance aspect, but I think that they intended it to be more than that, and I can see that. I would like for my story to be more than a romance. It's primarily a murder mystery with a sci–fi element to it. The romance is just extra, although it is important.

Aha, I get it :) It's fine, it was a misunderstanding.

I agree. We can't know how diverse viewers/readers are. We can't expect everyone to understand the underlying message or grasp all of it. People are different; we can only do so much. This is all from my perspective of watching The Eclipse with the life experience and knowledge that I have.

Not sure about making things longer tho. For me, the best way to write a good story is to cut all the "filler" and similar things out. Not necessarily making the story as short as possible, but just not draggy if you know what I mean.

Yes, First is very beautiful and talented ^^ I'm sure he will only get better and better at acting since he seems like a very hardworking person. I will have to disagree about Yok being more dynamic than Akk though. I think they are quite equally dynamic characters. But as you mentioned, maybe it comes off as Yok is more dynamic due to how the story/Yok was written (since he's quite different from Akk). I love Akk's character development a lot! But by saying this I'm not talking bad about Yok. Yok is one of my favourite characters ever; very well written and well acted. I'd also like to mention that The Eclipse was filmed before Not Me (if I'm not mistaken) so First's acting might be slightly more developed in Not Me.

From what I've seen in interviews, social media, reality shows and bts, First seems like a really good guy. Very outgoing, friendly, sensitive and funny ^^ But of course he has his private life and most celebrities only want to show their good/happy side. (and by "that show" are you referring to Safe House s4?)

Yeah, the demographic this story is made for is teens. I've also noticed the lack of product placement. Idk to what extent a budget has an affect on the storyline, but I suspect it'd be difficult to make supernatural stories with a limited budget. But I think the drama is visibly pleasing to look at. I'm sure they did their best with what they had to work with in terms of money. The pacing of the story is not consistent, I agree. But I really like the characters. Especially Akk. I had expectations when First said that he liked Akk's character development, and so far I have not been let down.

Not Me was good, it just didn't live up to my expectations, and I'm getting this feeling with The Eclipse as well. Not Me was also very political and that was the reason it had to be cut short, right? Maybe this is why The Eclipse is like it is. I was just not into their political activism storyline in Not Me. The thing about hidden identity as well as the relationships between the characters were really well done. But the villain of the story had no depth whatsoever. We barely knew anything about him. Even though he was the villain, he didn't feel important to the story. I've watched Not Me twice, but the political storyline just fails to get my attention; I don't really care. I realise that this might make me sound ignorant, but what can I do, I don't know much about politics. But I am a writer so I care a lot about how to write a good story.

Idk what you mean about queer flattening out the story. I think it's more the censorship and the storyline like I've mentioned.

I don't wanna repeat myself anymore but I just wanna say that even though The Eclipse is far from perfect, I still like it. And I've already written why in my other comment :)

I remember the first time I saw him in Not Me, I totally fell in love with him, the way he would look at Gawin's…
I know!! His acting with Gawin was so freaking beautiful and emotional ㅠㅠ First’s eyes was overflowing with emotions. That’s why even though I ship FirstKhao, I can’t help but to ship FirstGawin as well.

Can I just fangirl over First here for a sec. I love beautiful smiles and there is no secret that First was blessed with one. But why I like him so much is actually because of his eyes. I love actors who can act only using their eyes (another example of a good actor who has this talent is War Wanarat). First doesn't even need to say anything or carry any particular facial expressions to express what his character is feeling because his eyes tells you every emotion that he's portraying. I just love his acting; he's so talented

I loved the story of Talay and Phupha. My personal opinion is that I've never liked the F4 guys in the original or any of the adaptations. It actually gave me a feeling of satisfaction to see Thyme getting beaten up a bit tbh (even though the last blow was too much). I liked that the "villain" (Talay) in this part of the story had a detailed backstory and got a redemption arc of some sort, which I don't recall seeing in the other adaptations I've seen. And also the fact that Thyme went around to the victims to apologise to them and all that I most definitely don't remember seeing in the other adaptations! Episode 11 felt refreshing for sure for me.

Haha, you don't need to clarify, I know you didn't mean anything negative with your comment. And like I said, I've read the comment already; by that I meant that I read it from the original commenter before I posted my comment. I hope I didn't come off in a cold way, I'm just a straight–to–the–point kind of girl lol. There was no particular emotion behind my comment, I was just simply stating my opinions/thoughts is all :)

Although I haven't clicked on the links, I did read the comment before I posted my thoughts. That's why I said "not to say that the issues in this drama aren't serious enough...". It's really important and great of The Eclipse to refer to those political situations that has happened in Thailand. I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to political stuff, so I'm not gonna speak on this further; pretending to know what I'm talking about. But no matter what kind of message a series wishes to enlighten viewers with/of, it's still fiction. It's still a drama series and it hasn't made me care enough about the plot as I had expected it to. That's just how I think and feel about this.

Indeed, i get that not everyone has experience of being queer teen /and it's fine, i'm not one of the people who…
Not gonna lie, I had expectations in terms of the plot before starting this drama that were not met. With mystery and supernatural as genres as well as the investigation tag... I expected the drama to be a bit more deep. Not to say that the issues in this drama aren't serious enough, but like others have stated before me, it fails to make me care much personally. Tbh it's hard to please me with the plot of a story, even the story of Not Me didn't live up to my expectations. But luckily I'm all for character driven dramas. And when looking at The Eclipse as a character driven drama focusing on romance, I see no faults in it. For people who love the enemies to lovers trope this is a must watch for sure. The acting is top notch as well to the point where I can relate to characters I have little to nothing in common with. This is just my opinion.
