1. Editor needs slapped for that battle scene. We jumped over so much i am genuinely annoyed. Could have been much better. It was a chugging car rather than a ride through to victory.
2. I fk n knew li would be an asshole in the end. One or another, i knew he was going to be an enemy in the end. I could feel it in my bones.
3. Im not surprised at Mandis death, it was foreshadowed, twice. And then we touch dont touch on that again for rest of the episode. Editor. Again. Slapped.
4. Hey, bandit girl is still alive, where the fk have you been??
5. I cant work out if the brothers are playing each other? Qimin clearly wants crazy junior to walk into her blade, cool, id like that too, however, crazy junior hasnt realised this?
I was reminded of The Untamed when they were talking about the spirit of the sword. Since it was XZ who offered his blood, wouldnt that make him the master of the sword? I dont think it was a good idea to edit out giving Chang Yu the swords. Does she have them? Both? One? Its those little details that bug me π
Why did Xie Zheng forge the twin blades instead of having them done?In fiction, creating a blade for a loved one…
I thought it was because shes used to using both hands instead one with a sword but then they edited it out for a flashback assuming, so now i dont know whats happening πvery poor editing choice. I'm more surprised that she hasnt gotten a spear yet π
Reading the comments, if we are headed into royalty with our babies, then they are already being trained for the position. Little Bao learning to hide and track, and little Ning, silently eavesdropping on court gossip π
Its not you need me, it's i need you, that ll tug on her kindess π
I live by a saying, "evil doesnt seek you out, it's you standing in it's way" this is where i start disagreeing with FL decisions. Shes now too involved in this war to walk away. Sending Ning and Mr Zhao back to Linan before its over, feels short sighted. Crazy junior is still alive. He could come back.
I hope it doesnt take someone dying for her to realise this.
Also, wha'd a say?! Qian Qian, play him like a fiddle, then poison him and run π
Ohhh, I m rewatching the eps and i suddenly thought, are we looking at a narrative parallel with Qimin and Qian?
We are watching XZ fall in love and become very possessive and violent, vs Qimin who has already arrived at a dark and abusive place where Qian wants him dead.
Both have traumatic pasts, watched their mother die, been nearly killed and saved by their woman. XZ is mirroring that journey but he's going to make the opposite decision and arrive in better place at the end, with Changyu trying to keep him alive and with her.
Shiiiiiffuuuuu!!!! I swear, i dont know if i should kiss or slap the writer for giving me so many characters i love and now im fearing for each and every one of their lives π it has been a while, from that happened..
Am i the only one that understood XZs decision? π it was more embarrassing for him than her for me.
When he woke in their village house, he was probably just thinking, i better not say who i am because i nearly died, and now im really injured and dont want to be found. He probably didnt expect to fall in love. He said that when he healed he s leave. Then as little white lies grow, he maybe felt he couldnt say it outright.
I can be very critical. And i often find with cdramas, theres a regular trend of character assination, esp with the fml or the ml does that whole, i ll protect you by not telling you the truth. (Fkn Cheng Yi, my little nerdy cinnamon bun, i love you but stop playing these characters lol)
I dont think that was XZ reason. I felt like it was a case of little white lie now doing some damage, and it was only told for survival in the first place. Hes put himself in the slapping zone and i he deserves it.
For Chang Yu, again, i dont blame her for her decisions either. And i can be petty, id humilate crazy junior too lol
At this point im almost apprehensive, as we get to this final 3rd, that stupid stuff doesnt start happening just to move the plot. Because the flow has been really steady. I can forgive the slight chopping of scenes because its not often i can emotionally follow all characters.
If i dont see a body, i cant trust that they wont come back lol The bandit girl has disappeared, i wonder if she ll come back. Also, Song Yan. I want the Marquis and Marchioness to walk past him smiling lol

That now makes 5 on my Best Boys list. Welcome sir. π

I see you writer π
Its a very natural flow of character decisions rather than forcing drama. I love that.

Just some thoughts. Im not challenging anyone π
