There’s a beautiful divide happening here. Withholding the preview at the end of Episode 6 was both a marketing ploy and a brilliant storytelling chess move, and it's worked on both fronts 😂
I can’t stop watching the preview now, which is playing piano on my nerves but there’s also a real freshness to it. It’s still a continuation but with that sharp, deliberate separtion between Act 1 and Act 2, like the half time snack break in theater.
It's a change of scenery, a reshuffle of issues, maybe new characters and a stronger positioning of old ones. What has Dan been up to in this space between? LJ and his crew are entering the adult corporate world now, and those subtle structural details make such a difference to the journey. You actually get the sense that you’ve grown up a bit alongside LJ, even if it’s just purely physical.

I haven't rewatched any episodes, so I'm possibly wrong but I remember when Nakhun gave Phatsa the yellow sports car, he said he wouldn't try to control him, so I think Nakhun genuinely believes he gave him total freedom? In his head, he can provide him materially with whatever he wants, and his own bodyguards are just going to keep him safe, in case he's targetted in the same manner he is, because that's his normal. So maybe he thinks he's left the doors wide open for complete free range, despite tracking him down like a bloodhound the episode before 😂
That's what gives me this Twilight Zone horror style vibes. In Nakhun's mind, he's the ultimate loving partner providing absolute freedom, but Phatsa is actually trapped in a golden cage that he and his family are hammering the nails into. This is how the family live, so they see nothing wrong with it and just go with it, without bothering to ask or respect Phatsas needs and wants. Now theyre convinced theres a baby, and I really hope there isnt so Phatsa has a moment to stand his ground. At the minute it's like he's concussed and still reeling, trying to figure out what just happened to him. And now everyone wants to breed him 😭

He can literally do whatever he wants, but Nakhun doesn't know him enough to know what he actually wants and isn't giving him the time either, just like Phatsa's dad. I ll just buy you things.
And now Phatsa is constantly asleep, doused in blush and lip gloss, and I can only assume he's been crying? 🤔 Nakhun is out here upping the princess treatment and kissing his belly while poor Phatsa has no idea what's even happening. It's really creepy under that glossy pastel veneer, like children from the corn or something 😂
