Then I remembered the character intros before airing were literally styled like perfume ads with actual scent notes 🤣The marketing team knew exactly what they were doing. Shame no one else does 😂
Jokes aside, I do actually still look forward to a new ep, though I have to admit, half the thrill at this point is wondering what kind of multi-paragraph essay this show is going to force me to write today 🧪

If someone has to die, my money is firmly on Thin. And quite frankly, my darling, if he insists on jumping in front of stray bullets again, he better take Phob with him.
Give us the full Romeo & Juliet package. Let them depart in each other's arms, staring into each other's eyes, and leave Vaseline to drown in the desolate ruin of his own making. The whiplash in today's episode was real 😵💫 Thinking back to how his mother has treated them all, ironically, it is Jet who seems like the Golden Child, who's been insulated from consequences most of his life, that he treats Little Jane's sacrifices like entitlement instead of the life raft they were. And just as I was battling for Little Jane's diginity, the writers pressed delete on the growth, so we could have another round of angst for the plot gods 😂 lovely
There is a gorgeous, cozy creative sanctuary hiding inside Big Jane's love shrine. I feel genuinely sorry for the art department staff who clearly built that sculpture during a 3 AM drunken panic, because it looks like a play-doh massacre and it is not having the intended impact ☠️
Which is a shame, because aesthetically, the rest of the room is tickling my brain.
My soul always responds to a messy, low light, creative space, and this one gives us such a glimpse of Big Jane’s tastes outside of his central obsession.
The retro leather Chesterfield sofa, fringed lamps, Romanesque busts, vintage dark wood furniture, Persian rugs, and the framed monochrome portraits. It has all the ingredients of a dreamy, chaotic little nook where Big Jane can pour his heart out and showcase an artistic side we didn't know he possessed.
It's got this luxurious, dark academia feel to it, which is very different from his sleek, minimal office. That divide between what he shows and what he actually feels. That's beautiful 🖤
Unfortunately, the staging is bizarre. The sculpture should have been tucked to the side or angled slightly. But in a similar vein to the odd camera choices during last week’s intimacy, they force us to peer over this paper-mâché lump during an otherwise honest, tender dialogue moment, and I find it unintentionally hilarious. Sadly.
If they had prioritized the room as a cohesive reflection of Big Jane's hidden depths, rather than repeatedly giving us long shots over that thing in the foreground, the scene would have carried so much more romantic weight 🎨✨

What was the point of his existence this week? Was the grand scheme to quietly pilfer that money back into his own pockets through his network of 'contacts'? But has severely underestimate the Jane Love? Was that it? If he isn't actively pulling the puppet strings, he is officially the biggest red herring I ever seen 😂
☆But the pacing is really starting to fray now. They are clearly cramming as much of the book as they can, without much breathing room.
☆Which brings me to Little Jane's sudden departure. Ah, noble martyrdom, my tedious old friend. The logic in this dialogue has a gaping, drafty hole. We needed an emotional tether in there somewhere.
We just witnessed nuclear level love bombing, only for Little Jane to say, "I know I promised forever thirty minutes ago, but plot duty calls me back to my role as an abused, long suffering hero, for some more angst before I need to shoot someone because that earlier scene felt like clear foreshadowing. Hand me my toothbrush, babe."
Are they dating? Is this an arranged pause? A crucial structural puzzle piece took an unannounced stroll off set 😂

I was deep in the meaning of life questions last night, in my head, and this morning, I'm reading these comments and feel like time has brought me an answer.
The tragic beauty here is that neither Phob nor Tinn can be neatly reduced to villain and victim. And that's the biggest flaw in thinking I keep coming across.
Who is to blame for pain?
☆ They are both caught in the crossfire between personal stories and macro world conditions. It's the heart vs the structure.
☆ Phob’s mistake wasn’t in pure selfishness or inferiority thinking; it was tunnel vision. He believed he could tear down a corrupt system without destroying the people he loved in the process.
☆ However, his behavior was a betrayal of Tinn's trust, no matter the greater cause. He had another agenda with Tinn and that cant be minimized either, or it ignores the heartbreak Tinn has to pay.
☆ And we can acknowledge that Tinn’s family brought on their own downfall while still holding Phob accountable for the rupture in trust with Tinn.
☆ Whether a reunion is earned or patronizing, depends on what your emotional demand from a story like this. Yes, in life, trust broken usually stays broken, and Tinn has every right to walk away.
But reconciliation means to truly forgive someone, and forgiveness isn't about erasing or pretending pain and harm didnt happen.
It's about placing it where it belongs, as the backdrop in your life, not the author. It is a scarred but concious choice to choose your happiness over all the noise.
In this story, it’s about two deeply hurting people choosing each other anyway, fully aware of the distance between them, and closing that gap by understanding the other.
Long story short, I had this question in my head over and over, and I kept thinking of that scene in Kung Fu Panda 2 from the Soothsayer 😂
'Your story may not have a happy beginning, but that doesnt make you who you are. It is the rest of your story. Who you choose to be'
A happy ending doesnt mean nothing happened and it was all pointless and we have wasted our time. It means they decided not to let the system, the hurt, the greed, the people like Vasin and Chat who are making it worse, have the final say.
