Haaa, was half expecting cranky reactions to your comment. Even tho you kept it general. They're slightly childish, since it's no argument to say "just stop watching". Also bc that might ultimately what some will do when stories are done badly - and that's obviously bad for the show.
And that IS a major issue in the BL world. There's oftimes so much potential but they usually do a bad job with the series in the end. For various reasons. And that's sad, bc it could've been amazing, but ends up slightly too extremely cringe. There are so many BLs but literally only a handfull are good. I'm tired off settling with "ok just stop thinking even slightly logical, turn off your brain so it might work".
And I'm srsly speaking in a general way, since I haven't even started Kidnap yet and was only looking up the general opinion abt the show after the first 2 episodes. I still have some hopes for this one tbh, tho quite a few comments seem to confirm some of my fears. Either way the general problem stands: 8 out of 10 shows end up being half assed (mostly Thai BLs tho).

I know their hair (esp. during the wedding) looked out of this world, but this is a way too hard contrast. From ethereal to horrendous. Tho I can make peace with Boss' hair here, I think.

If so they're rather far off with cute, bc this is more on the dumb looking side than cute 😅😆 And young - he'd still look young no matter what, but at the very least with a less bonkers looking hairstyle, please! I agree with everyone saying "finally something's happening!" and I love that. The dad thing is a bit typical and it pushed my agressions, but I really hope they'll stick together and won't break apart like stories with this issue usually go. So it'd be clichee issue without the clichee way of handling the issue.

Max & Naphat as a couple honestly don't work for me at all. Ready to be proven wrong, but my inital thought was a heavy "god no!". And it got stronger after seeing their promo picture.
Then again, I'm not a big fan of Naphat. Yes sorry, I'm sure he's a nice guy, but there's something odd abt his acting everytime I see him, so I'm also biased, I guess.

Couldn't agree more. But BL's tend to ignore bad guys doings, no matter what. I won't ever be over Lhong in TharnType & how they tried to make us pity him in the end as if what he did was in any way forgivable!
Honestly... in what show - except for KinnPorsche and Manner-of-Death - did bad guys (really criminally bad or just highly dislikable) ever face real consequences?! It's annoying & unsatisfying. Hate Tong - he can go die somewhere for all I care.
