Just came home from the movie theatre - GOD the movie is so so good! 10/10 recommend!! So beautiful. The actors, the friendship, the pacing, the plot, the music, the humour... loved it to bits <3
Just saw the movie and loved it! Thought the series is a continuation of the movie, but the names are different? No Koo Jae Hui, no Jang Heung Su? I'm confused. Can someone enlighten me?
Okay, I went down a rabbit hole tryin to answer this question and it's a bit of a complicated answer. The original…
Wait. So the movie concentrates on the GIRL? -.- meeeh, I just bought tickets and this kills a big part of the excitement. Hoped & act was sure it would concentrate on Heung Soo (and that's why Korean conservatives are making such a fuss -.-). Meeeeeeeh.
Only found this a minute ago, and " Qi Yi keeps pursuing Lu Shi Ran, Lu Shi Ran keeps retreating"?! I wished it'd be the other way around, buuuut let's see :)
No idea who it is, but either I don't fancy the role Bai Zong Yi or the actor Taro Lin. It's decent, I give you that, but sth is off for me. He only ever has one look on his face, interrupted by a few smiles, like he's constantly in a trance 🙈
And they're sweet together, but at the same time I don't feel the chemistry and have no idea why they both fell in love with the other (maybe bc everything was way too rushed). Weird mix, don't understand it myself.
Hope noone agrees tho, so it's just a bummer to me ^^ but ultimately it was one of the better BLs for sure.
am i the only one who got bored watching this? They shouldnt have made a prequel, they should have made a spin-off…
YES, couldn't agree more. I usually dislike Prequels. Once seen something I want to know how it continues, not how it started. At least not in length and details. Like you said, glimpses of the past would've been enough.
The writing is as horrible as in Kidnap. I have no idea why they don't think more about the story. You pointed…
Haaa, was half expecting cranky reactions to your comment. Even tho you kept it general. They're slightly childish, since it's no argument to say "just stop watching". Also bc that might ultimately what some will do when stories are done badly - and that's obviously bad for the show.
And that IS a major issue in the BL world. There's oftimes so much potential but they usually do a bad job with the series in the end. For various reasons. And that's sad, bc it could've been amazing, but ends up slightly too extremely cringe. There are so many BLs but literally only a handfull are good. I'm tired off settling with "ok just stop thinking even slightly logical, turn off your brain so it might work".
And I'm srsly speaking in a general way, since I haven't even started Kidnap yet and was only looking up the general opinion abt the show after the first 2 episodes. I still have some hopes for this one tbh, tho quite a few comments seem to confirm some of my fears. Either way the general problem stands: 8 out of 10 shows end up being half assed (mostly Thai BLs tho).
