LOL, ugh what a mess this script is. I always liked how collected CX is - he only broke down in front of XY.

Why exactly would Xinyue want to assassinate TSJ? Shouldn't she want him alive to take XY away from her precious CX? Unless she told FFYY kill XY, but FFYY decided to change the plan? I'm already laughing.

I agree, this second season had the opportunity to develop Jing and XL and their mutual respect for each other more, but it's lost amid the numerous scenes of jealous CX and jealous Xinyue. It's disappointing, and CX deserves better too.

Yes, I get from the novel a lot more apparent respect between the 2 of them. It's there in the drama, just not as plainly, which I agree saddens me. It's a missed opportunity in my opinion, but oh well. Another thing to knock off this more lackluster second season for me.

Yeah all the cast are great. It's hard when you have no lines and you just stand there and smile (i.e. Jing in some of the past few episodes. And all Xinyue can do is throw more cups onto the floor). The writing is uneven, it's weird. Maybe team B did the Haoling arc when team A wasn't available lol?

I guess she was weak after all the blood she sacrificed. I think in the novel, he kicked Jing into the water.

I hope not. After what happened with the Haoling arc, I'm going to keep my expectations low so I might be at least somewhat happy with what happens next.

No, you've always made sense when it came to these darn leaked scripts. Deviating from the original novel and, like you said, omitting some key parts has consequences for things that happen down the line. The power of the loss at the end of the story is diminished. For CX mainly, but also for Xinyue's and FL's characters as well if Xinyue's storyline is completely changed/omitted. The story has been building up to something happening with Xinyue - so if nothing happens, I'm going to really roast this second season in my review.

Yeah, the previous 4 episodes were a bit underwhelming, but man, I was almost shaking by the time of the last scene in ep 18. So much power in YZ's delivery of those lines about Jing to CX while still remaining calm...until she couldn't hold it in anymore and cracked that cup.

Tushan Hou is definitely not right in the head. It's so unfair what their Mom did to him, but yeah, he a messed up dude. He keeps going on and on about beating Jing at everything (Jing doesn't even care and he told him as much), he doesn't even know what is up or down anymore.

Seriously! Finally the episodes I was waiting for and it just stops right there in ep 18.

Yes, these characters are definitely all flawed and burdened with so much baggage.
